I'd call it more that OU has exposed Texas for the overrated team they are every year. Especially the last two seasons. I mean their QB fucking sucks for the most part. When you put it like that though you make OU sound no good.

And Mack Brown does suck. But I don't want him to lose his job. He's Oklahoma's favorite coach.

You take the two best.....OU and USC.....the two that were #1 and #2 the whole season. I mean b/c it seems that the general sentiment in the media right now is that it's: OU and USC then....the rest of the country.

Oh and I saw somebody mention earlier in a thread that we fumbled it but it wasn't called. If you're referring to the play where AD fumbled it towards the beginning...he was crawling on his knees when the ball was ripped. Dunno if that's what you were referring to. But how about Adrian Peterson!? Jesus christ! That guy was running people over, running around people, he was doing everything!

Well OSU is better than everyone thinks. They've beaten the point spread by double digits in every game. But today is there test. But yes. I don't think we should lose another game. If SC wins today...there spot is locked up as well b/c they have nobody else left. Today may just decide the Orange Bowl.

I think that now we're on our fast track to the Orange Bowl. Texas was our biggest stumbling block depending on how well OSU does. Hell OSU could very well be undefeated when they go to face OU. But still....I think that we have it and I think we'll make it. Our team is just as good as hyped. Our defense is better than everyone thought. We proved today that when our QB breaks down and has a bad game that we have someone there as a safety net and spearhead us a victory. Bring on the Trojans/Hurricanes/Bulldogs......WHOEVER WANTS A PIECE!

Of course he has. B/c we're better than him and we're better than Texas. We've proved it for 5 straight years and with AD and Paul Thompson spear heading the offense next year we'll do it again.

Texas hasn't had a horrible offense until today. I mean Benson was 4th on the Heisman list until today. They know how to shut down the run game. They proved it. OSU and A&M run the ball......they won't be able to run it by us. And yes White had a bad game. But that doesn't worry me b/c he's had about 16 other good ones. Oh and so what if he's a product of the system? I don't care about him making it to the NFL. As long as him being a product of the system brings me a National Title then I could care less.

OH HELL YEAH! FIRST TIME TEXAS HAS BEEN SHUT OUT IN 24 YEARS! This game was a defensive battle up and down the field. Jason White looked lost and we would've lost this game if he hadn't hadn't had AD there to bail him out! I won't start the AD for Heisman campaign until next season though. I was worried until the half and then I realized that we had this game well in hand. Texas defense was good......better than before. They knew what they were doing even if they got a pick that well....shouldn't have been a pick. But we still shut the bastards out and for the first time in 24 years! Oh and A&M and OSU won't beat us. Know why? Because they're one dimensional running teams, just like Texas! And we proved today you can't run that damn football against us. Next week KSU and REVENGE~!

Corso just picked the upset! Eh...he picks a lot of upsets. I think Cal has a better chance of beating USC than Texas does of beating OU.

I doubt they will. As I've said before.....there is a severe sideline mismatch in this game. You have Bob Stoops who is probably the best coach in the country and Mack Brown.....who can't win the big one. Not to mention that Texas has no confidence while OU has tons. Nobody I've seen is predicting Texas to win....hell Texas isn't even predicting Texas to win. Oh and unfortunately I'll be at a friends house watching the game so my post count won't get to explode during the game. Sorry to dissapoint. But if we lose you can expect me to be on after the game. If we win.....then a post of celebration. So is this game nationally televised?

Who's saying that? I haven't seen a single sports mag or site make that pick. Everyone's saying Texas won't get trounced as badly this year, but that's a no-brainer: it's awfully hard to be trounced by more than 52 points. It should be a fun weekend for the Big Ten, with the two mid-teens matchups sorting pretenders from contenders. They were probably the two hardest picks for me to make in Bored's contest. Minnesota seems to play a very similar style of football as my beloved Cavaliers, so I'm looking forward to checking them out this Saturday. Actually it seems to be people in the Oklahoma area for some reason saying this.; Not like OU fans but like radio personalities and people in newspapers. Plus of course Texas fans. But ESPN maintains that OU will win. The thing is though that Cedric Benson is going to have to rush against our line and linebackers. Something I don't think he can do. Then Mr. Running QB Vince Young is going to have to take that ball and throw it to Freshman wide recievers against our Senior Secondary. He'll get picked more than once if he starts throwing it. And I think if he or Benson runs with it to much they're going to lose it eventually. Hell Young couldn't hold onto it against Baylor. Second of all they brought in a new defensive coordinator to shut down our pass game. They said they wanted to get a zone coverage out there in the field like we have against them. Problem is they got this all on the off season expecting our offense to be one dimensional like it was last season. We went out and found a kid by the name of Adrian Peterson. So even if they can shut White down(which they can't completely)they still have Peterson running it down there throats. Not to mention that they aren't going to be able to get to White like past teams have b/c now he can move and the offensive line is one of the best in the country. There defensive line is going to be dominated. Then there's also the fact that we've had a very vanilla offense so far(and still averaging 40.5 ppg). Which Bob Stoops never has. The guys on ESPN are predicting we're hiding our full offense from Texas and I tend to agree. Hell Bob Stoops even said "we haven't shown half of our offense. We haven't even used any trick plays." Sounds to me like Texas is going to be watching film of our games this season and then get blown away when we come out with something they've never seen before which I fully expect us to do. Then we're also in there heads. The vibe from Austin is "When we get through with this hopefully we'll still be in the BCS" these guys are already whipped mentally! Mack Brown is whipped mentally! The first time they turn that ball over they're going to lose morale big time. Also I don't think they have the playmakers. We have Mark Clayton and Jason White. When we're in a tough bind I think they'll be able to pull it out. I don't think Texas has someone that can pull there ass out of the fire like that last minute. This game is looking good for us.

I'm gonna say it right now......Texas cannot win a close game against OU. B/c they don't have the big play makers against us and there coach can't do it. They either blow us out or lose to us. They won't win a close one.

God damn OSU/Colorado game! I want USC/Cal! Oh and a lot of people seem to be believing Texas will win this year b/c OU doesn't blow people out by 60 points every game. Our offense is different but still deadly. Rather than outscore you by 60 we outscore you by 14-28 and possess the ball for 75% of the game. We make your defense tired and demoralized. Plus according to a sports writer from Austin that I heard on the radio station the Texas fans and players all think they already lost. They're like "Ok....hopefully we can stay in the BCS after the OU game....."

I've noticed something. There's an abnormal amount of Michigan fans in Oklahoma. Just about everyone I talk to I'm like "Who's your fav team?" "Why The Sooners of course!" "Who else do you like?" "Michigan! GO BLUE!"
