  1. I know I picked Georgia in the game. But I would like to see LSU win this game. Then I'd like to see The Vols win and then win the SEC. That'd be nice. Anyone else getting the OU/TT game? Looks like OU spent the week overlooking TT and thinking of Texas.
  2. Ok is FSN regional? Like the shows that they show on there show around her are nothing but Big XII and SEC games. Does everyone get the "Southwest Sports Report" and stuff like that? Or is it just regional? Because I always get that "Big XII Showcase" show. Up north do you get the "Big Ten Showcase"?
  3. My old boss is a HUGE Cubs fan. But as soon as he saw that SI cover that said "The Cubs WILL win the World Series" he freaked out and cursed SI forever.
  4. I just heard this great commercial on the local radio. OU/Texas ticket: 100 dollars Bar Tab in Dallas: 85 dollars Bail after a drunken fight with Texas fans: 500 dollars Listening to Mack Brown's excuses after a 5th straight loss to Oklahoma: Priceless.
  5. It's funny b/c if you came to the Cubs last year and was like "Hey guess what your record is going to be?" and then told them they'd be like "Hey! We won the division!" Nobody could predict the Cardinals would have a freak year.
  6. Yeah 22 years of momentum means nothing. Just b/c Maul looked cool didn't mean anything......Vader is the original badass. *sidenote*Vader's famous breathing creeps my mom out. She says it's scary.
  7. Well, Michigan fans are never that stupid about when they actually are about to start playing because once they run out under the GO BLUE banner you know its about to get crackin' Nobody said that they thought they were going to play. I say they go crazy like they're taking the field for the game when they're just stretching. Nobody is actually like "Hey the stadium is empty except for students but here comes the game!" Plus they come out from under the Sooners banner and out of the big football helmet when it's game time. Plus they play a big digital countdown and then show a video of OU beating on people while playing Andrew WK's "Party Hard" as they take the field.
  8. Ok that's it. Where can I DL an Episode 3 Trailer? B/c I'm not finding it on my file sharing service.
  9. I just don't get why so many people hate on Leno. I love him. He's funnier than Letterman who has never EVER gotten a laugh out of me.
  10. Did that kid from AF break his leg or tear something? Oh and btw. There's a kid at OU that used to go to AF. He was on The Rugby team at AF and his schedule pretty much matched the one they showed on TV. It sucks! You would have no life! I don't have the discipline to do it.
  11. Well looks like I lost the Pitt game. Hopefully Notre Dame, Georgia, Tenn, and Oregon can come through for me.
  12. I think I may be losing this week.
  13. The thing that's annoying about OU games is that you have to be there 2 hours early. So when you have an 11:00 game you have to be there at 9:00. And since I don't live in Norman(i live 15 minutes up the highway) I have to get up at like 730 to get ready and beat traffic. So I get there and I'm tired as fuck and it's hot outside and then we SIT for 2 hours. Seriously they do NOTHING. Some jackass plays games on the microphone for about 15 minutes. But he's annoying and not funny so we just sit there. Then the opposing team will come out to stretch and everyone that's there boo's them...except me. They're stretching....big deal. Then the Sooners come out without shoulder pads to stretch and do drills. And everyone goes crazy like they're about to play. But WAIT! They're just stretching! We still go an hour and a fucking half till the game starts! God I hate it. Glad I don't go to LSU though. I read those poor kids have to be there at like 8.
  14. Well I won't argue they aren't the best team ever or of the last 10 years b/c they didn't go undefeated. Had they gone undefeated there would've been an argument seems how up until the Big XII title game they had 95 Nebraska(who seems to be considered the best team ever) beaten in all but 1 category.
  15. At OU they're 120 bucks for season tickets for students and it's first come first serve as long as you aren't a Freshman. For incoming Freshman they put a certain number aside and they have a lottery and you enter your name in there and you can win season tickets. However you still have to pay 120 for them. You only get one ticket. You can sell the ticket for ANY price in the city of Norman if you so desire. Apparently scalping is not illegal. It's only illegal if you try to sell 2 tickets for above there value. But since students only get one ticket you can charge 50 bucks for them. Which I don't. My Texas Tech ticket cost 27 and I sold it to a girl for 25. My season tickets were paid for by my grant money. Hehehehe.....so I didn't pay anything for them. Where they really get you is on away games. It's 65 bucks to go to Kansas State. 65 to go to Texas A&M. And like 75 for OU/Texas Tickets.
  16. Exactly. And just because they blow these teams like Texas and such out doesn't mean that it was a weak schedule. It could just mean that they're *GASP* a lot better than those teams! I mean yeah they beat OSU like 52-9 in Norman last year. But OSU was a good team. They went to the Cotton Bowl where they only lost by a Field Goal. Texas......Texas chokes in big games but there was no way they choked against OU last year. 65-13?
  17. I agree. I have OU season tickets but I went ahead and sold my OU/TT ticket so that I could watch football all day.
  18. Dammit I hate it when there is 4 games that you want to watch on at once. If there's two I usually just hit "Last Channel" and flip back and forth. But they need like a way where you can program it to flip through those 4 channels with one button......a football remote.
  19. Did I say Florida Atlantic? Just read up on it. It was Florida A&M. OU realized that'd be total crap and got rid of them. And not every team does schedule hardcore opponents unless you're Notre Dame. Notre Dame could actually be a Top 10 team if they didn't play such a tough schedule. I think they play the toughest schedule in College Football. Oh and btw OU scheduled the game with Oregon this year b/c they thought Oregon was going to be a better team and they were in the Top 25. Nobody knew they'd fall apart. OU certainly didn't know that when they scheduled them. Also I'll admit they could schedule better teams. But you guys act like they scheduled nothing but total pansies that they could bitch slap the whole time. Which isn't the case. And now you're acting like they're going to run through an easy year. And if they go 13-0 and win the national title I can hear the bitching of "They don't deserve it! They played a weak schedule!" crying down from the hilltops now. Appparently they'll have to run through the entire Top 10 winning on average by 80 points to ever deserve it. Oh and exactly what I said should happen happened. Here's the thing I read in the paper today: "Southern California's hold on No. 1 loosened after the Trojans struggled against Stanford. USC recieved 46 first place votes in the AP poll released Sunday, eight fewer than last week. The team that benefited most from SC's come-from-behind 31-28 victory on Saturday was idle Oklahoma. The second-ranked Sooners got 18 first place votes and narrowed the gap between them and the Trojans to 35 points(1605-1570)." What I said should happen....happened. SC lost 1st place votes.
  20. Hmm....well that's your opinion. I actually enjoyed Episode I and II a great deal and didn't think it was as long winded as you suggest. Plus the political stuff is interesting to me.
  21. Not every non-conference opponent needs to be a world beater. Houston was decent enough to not be a total patsy which is why they were added to the schedule. But then again a lot of teams aside from the other elite teams wouldn't be much to add to the schedule. And those teams don't want any part of us as much as we don't want any part of them.
  22. They won the Orange Bowl in 2000 against Florida State. And they pretty much KO'd them in that game as FSU's offense couldn't do shit to OU. They won the Rose Bowl against WSU in 2002 dominating the game. Oh and by the way they didn't crash and burn against LSU. LSU was better. They just got beat by a better team. And on top of all that Jason White did deserve the Heisman. He put up some of the best numbers last season with an 8 to 1 TD/INT ratio and was INJURED during the last two games. His hand was broken and so was his foot. He had to have surgery on both after the season ended. Plus his knees were still bad. He would've had good games if he hadn't been injured. He proved all season he was good. And don't give me that "Well real warriors fight back" b/c he tried to fight back and he tried his damndest in those last two games but just couldn't do it physically. Mentally he was all there. But when you have a broken hand, foot, and two bad knees you tend not to be able to get things done no matter how hard you try. Oh and btw they asked USC to play them this year and USC turned them down. So there goes that "Never trying to play an OOC powerhouse" argument. And OU's AD is working with LSU's AD to set up an OU/LSU series sometime down the line. So there's that to. Oh and Texas doesn't choke against OU. We're better than them.
  23. I thought we weren't allowed to change them once they were submitted.
  24. The point is that Joe Castiglione(or however you spell it! OU's AD) had a really weak non-conference schedule in place. He had OU playing like Bowling Green, Florida Atlantic, and then some other really weak team. Then OU got a bunch of crap for a weak schedule last year so he went out and changed the schedule around looking for teams that were in bowls. So he kept Bowling Green. Ditched FA and picked up Oregon and then picked up Houston from LSU.
  25. So then what if they win the national title and knock off USC or Miami in the process? Is everyone still going to give them crap about playing an easy schedule and not beating anybody. Because the same thing happened in 2000. They went undefeated and bitch slapped Florida State in the title game and were still questioned as the true national champions. The OU AD said that he scheduled those 3 teams b/c they all played in bowl games last year and all were good teams. Who knew they would suck ass this year?
