Sucks to be you. I get 3 g's for 20 bucks (which is only half a gram less then an 8th, assuming I did the math right), but that's because my dealer is like, one of my best friends, so he doesn't worry about making a profit off of my sales.

Yeah, but those are in American dollars. Granted, that makes it only 130 at the current exchange rate, but that's at least a little better. I'm curious though...I know the laws are supposed to be stricter in the states but like...how much? For example, lets say you were walking down a public street, smoking a joint, and a cop saw you. Around here, assuming the cop doesn't feel like being a bastard, that means you get told to put the joint out and throw it away. At worst he might make you toss out whatever other weed you have on you (assuming you don't have enough weed to warrant serious shit). Is it like that in the states too? Or are you pretty much boned? Or does it just totally depend on the cop and the location?

I think the only thing I ever used blades for was when we'd clean out my buddy's bud buster; they worked really well on that, but outside of that, they are too complicated for me, most of the time.

No, I was just saying that Austin thought he was joking; thus, the reason he figured Owen would do it normally (cuz you said "whatever reason" - I think this is part of the reason). I fully agree that they should've clarified the spot, and I don't think Owen is a sloppy worker; I think it was just a matter of mis-communication.

As far as I know, Austin thought Owen was just ribbing him, and basically said "ha ha, yeah right...seriously, your knees."

You know what I never understood about the first Starship Troopers movie? They didn't have the bit where he meets his dad. That's such a Hollywood moment; he literally just bumps into his dad while waiting to board his ship, and they have about 10 minutes to chat before they have to part ways again. I never understood why they left that out. Agreed on the powersuits. That was the *reason* why the MI was so deadly. I like how Heinlein puts it in the book (paraphrased); "One man in a power suit could take out 5 tanks; assuming anyone was dumb enough to send tanks against a man in a powersuit." Hell, outside of the fact that it's about an intergalatic war with giant bugs, is there anything in common between the book and the movie? I mean, the book was mostly Heinlein pointing out everything wrong in our society with a neat little war story around it.

This I'll agree with 100%. They only have like, one song that I prefer live (Valhalla). And yeah, apparantly I forgot how to read. My bad. Though I'm sad that Ripper is now doing Iced Earth's vocals. I know Barlow seems like one of those guys that you either love or you hate, but he at least had a lot more range then Ripper. I really can't imagine Ripper singing some IE stuff live.

The "why" is easy. The Soviets were winning the Space Race (They had what, the first Satellite, the first living creture, the first man AND the first woman in Space I think) and the US didn't want to look bad. Plus, if they made people think they landed on the Moon, NASA could easily get a lot more funding which they could spend on other stuff whilst pretending to go to the Moon. That said, I've always wondered; who filmed the Moon landing? Like, honest question. Did Armstrong get off the ship, set up a camera, then get back on it? Was there a camera on some arm of the ship? I really don't know.

I *love* Blind Guardian, but even I'd have to say that they're too one-dimensional in their lyrics. Yeah, not all their songs are about fantasy stuff, but so much of it is that it gets on my nerves. Honestly, it bugs me when any band limits themselves like that lyrically. As far as Dragonforce goes, meh. A friend sent me some MP3's of theirs a few years back...alright at best, nothing fancy. Too cheesy, even for me.

So DX has now gone from only hogging up time on TV to hogging up the blurbs. Seriously, re-read the preview, and notice how there's two paragraphs about DX, both of which essentially say the same thing.

I think I'm the opposite. I can't think of any band that I love that's Satanic. I mean, I like Mercyful Fate, but that's about it...

Because Corey was the first person to mention metal in this thread. Of course. There wasn't any mention of metal on the first page (and especially no one claiming that Piece of Mind is a front-loaded album - personally I'd say if anything, the album ends at "Still Life", but that's 6 tracks into a 9-track CD, so I'd say it's just plain great rather then front-loaded) or anyone else talking about metal that Corey was merely replying to. Nope. Not at all.

Yes to all, because HBK, Bret, and Vince all realized that everyone and their mother was talking about it, thus, it only made sense to try and plug it into more angles. I mean, Vince isn't a moron; do you really think he'd say to himself "Gee, the fans really seem to hate me now, and I've been an on-air personality for years. Better just ignore it and go back to being a nobody"? And I'm sure they've mentioned the Curtain Call more then once. DX got into the ring once and showed the footage to make Vince look bad or something, and HHH spoke about it in some interviews. Also, why do a work in such a way that it totally exposes the business? Isn't that nonsensical?

Man, that looked sweet. I was amazed at how good Sandman looked. I really hope that this movie will end the way that trailer makes me think it will though; Peter gets to the bell tower, manages to rip the symbiote off, it ends up on Brock, movie ends with Brock in the costume. You know, like the cartoon. Because really, they can't do three villians in one movie and not have it be a total mess.
