Hey, whether ot not MMX5 and X6 suck (I haven't tried them yet) X through X4 are all great/good games. And yeah, there's no fancy crap, but still, it's friggin' Mega Man X! I could play that game 5 times in a row and not get bored.

Something I wanted to point out to everyone who bitches that the American system doesn't always follow the popular vote. The Green Party recieved 665,940 votes, which gave them 4.5% of the popular vote. The Bloc Quebecois got just over double that; they got 1,552,043 seats, and 10.5% of the popular vote. What does this mean? This means that the Bloc Quebecois gets 51 seats, and the Green Party gets zero. But if that doesn't seem weird to you, let me point out that the NDP got 17.5% of the popular vote, with 2,590,808 votes cast for them. They recieved.... 29 seats. Something about that is very wrong. Anyway, I'm glad things turned out the way they did; a conservative minority is just what I wanted (even though I didn't vote for them) because a liberal victory would've been the same as declaring Paul Martin Dictator-For-Life, in my eyes, and with such a slim minority, the conservatives will have to make deals to get their stuff passed, and they won't be able to get anything absurd passed.

The Article that cost Luger the WWF Belt
The Metal Maniac replied to cawthon777's topic in General Wrestling
Here's why I think that Luger was booked to win the belt: If not, it means that they had planned, in advance, for Yokozuna to have to wrestle two matches in a single night. Something about that seems wrong. -
I'm using IE, and I have the same problem.

Do you mean just in your riding, CWM? I can't see that many people in Canada as a whole voting for them, considering that virtually every person I've spoken to about the election is terrified of the Cons. winning.
-
You do realize that only some people are allowed to vote in our democracy, right? Hell, *I* couldn't vote until a few years ago. And I agree with the way Tack worded it earlier; if you can't live within the rules of society, you should have no right to say what the rules should be.

So, am I the only person who didn't know that the Boomerang Cutter can be used to cut off Launch Octopus' tentacles *and* Flame Mammoth's trunk?

It's not like anyone wanted to see this thing anyway.

That's why you don't steal pictures from Snopes.com

But aren't things like having the freedom to walk outside whenever you want basic rights as a citizen? If we're taking away that, I don't see why we can't keep taking. Besides, I think it's silly. The Liberals essentially just guaranteed that every prisoner in all of Canada *will* vote for them. Couldn't have done it better if they paid every one of them 10 bucks for their votes.

What kinda symbols? I'm genuinely curious.

I thought it was written about cocaine...while the author was on cocaine. No, seriously, I read that somewhere. I dunno if it's true though.

I'm assuming you're thinking of when Locke almost got taken by...whatever it was that almost took him. I don't know if we should think that the Security System saw Locke as a threat; Locke didn't seem overly worried about being taken (he even told Kate to let him go, didn't he?). Perhaps it's possible that whoever controls that system merely wanted to talk to Locke, or something. I don't think we should assume it was out to kill him. It'll be really interesting to see what Eko does in the next little while. If he starts acting like Locke does (like he knows more then anyone, always calm) then there'll be some weird stuff going on in that smoke.

I still haven't managed to find a copy of this game. It makes me really sad.

You know, some of those anti-smoking commercials do make me want to smoke. Not out of spite or anything though; I smoke occasionally, and I try to not do it at all, but when they show those ads where it's like a close-up of the cigarette as they take a drag in slow-motion...that makes me want to smoke.

Ok, this episode was damned good, but the preview for the next one made me shit my pants. "THIS IS OUR ISLAND."

Has there been anyone else who has done LESS in 10 years

The Big Shot. If you weren't entertained by an half-unconcious Hardcore Holly trying to convince the Big Show that he had the Acolytes "right where I wanted them" then you have no soul. -
1. Pot - Number one not just for the effects (which I greatly enjoy) but for the convenience; you can smoke a joint and still go about your day. 2. Shrooms - I've had a number of really fun trips on shrooms, and I've never, ever had a bad trip. I've gotten weirded out once or twice (this one time, I couldn't even look at a buddy of mine, because it looked like he had two pupils in each eye) but nothing serious. I love getting ripped and staring into mirrors; I once spent, no joke, half-an-hour in the bathroom on shrooms, just staring at the mirror, and occasionally the patterned floor tiles. 3. Acid - only ever did it once, which is part of the reason why it's below shrooms. Wasn't a bad trip by any means, but there was a guy there who I really hated, so I'm kinda biased. I liked that it made it impossible to focus on anything; I'd have a thought, and I'd start considering that thought, but before I even had a chance to understand what I was thinking, I was already thinking about something else. The only drug that got me so messed up that I actually forgot I was playing a video game. Like, I had the controller in my hands, but I'd just start thinking about something else until someone pointed out that I'd been running in circles for 5 minutes. 3. Extacsy (which I think I spelled wrong) - Did it twice; the first time I did it it was amazing, and one of the best trips I've ever had on anything. Me and some buddies were at an after-hours rave-type club, and from that night alone, I gained an appreciation of house music. Hell, I only ever went to two dances in high school, and it was to the point that I'd think to myself "Okay, I've been dancing for two straight hours, and even though I don't feel it, I know my body is exhausted, so I'd better sit down" and I'd sit down for less then 5 minutes before my brain started screaming "GO DANCE!!!!" again. I know I looked like an idiot because I can't dance (plus I had the stupidest look on my face, I was later told; a buddy of mine said I looked more stoned then he had ever seen anyone look) but I didn't care. I also apparantly danced with the hottest chick in the bar, though I have no recollection. The second time I did E was nothing compared to the first. Was still fun, but not nearly as much fun. As a result, I don't think I'll ever do E again. 4. Booze - Why fourth? HANGOVERS. Fuck, do I hate hangovers. I'm a bad drunk too, so I almost always get one. As a result, I rarely drink.

I think the point of being a Godparent is that you become responsible for the child in the event their parents die. But I think that kind of thing would be dealt with through legal means now instead (like, it might be in a will as to who would watch the child, not just whoever their Godparents are).
-
I have Godparents, as does everyone in my family. But my family is pretty Catholic. Besides, fuck what your friends think; your brother asked.

Chezch, your grammar isn't quite awkward enough.

From what I understand, Luke doesn't exactly "fall" to the Dark Side...see, Palpatine is able to use his force powers to transfer his mind into another body, something he had apparantly been doing for years (he'd cloned himself, and transfer his mind into a fresh clone every now and again) and he managed to keep doing after Vader threw him down the shaft. What ends up happening is that Luke realizes that there's no way he can beat an enemy who is essentially immortal, so he decides to "join" him, when he's really just trying to find some way to defeat him. However, the Dark Side being what it is, he eventually does start to fall into it until Leia helps him out. I've only read general info about it on the net, but I think that's the jist of it. -
Oh, I agree; I was just pointing out that the most useless weapon in any given Mega Man game tends to be the one you *need*. Also; do X5 and X6 allow you to play through the game as Zero? I thought that was one of the best features of X4.

Translation: It's all in CGI. Cheap CGI.
