Couple of UFC questions
The Metal Maniac replied to Masked Man of Mystery's topic in General Wrestling
Is it still illegal to throw kicks while wearing shoes of any type? I know that was illegal in some of the early UFCs, but I honestly don't know if it still is. But I'm pretty damned sure fish-hooking is still illegal. -
Would you rather get kicked in the junk...
The Metal Maniac replied to Hoff's topic in No Holds Barred
I bet it is a swerve in the making. In 2 days, it will be revealed that not only is ib not banned, but that he's taking over AoO's mod spot. And then in 3 days, the entire forum will implode as every single poster (except ib and AoO, who'll probably be laughing his ass off) attempts to express their disgust all at once. -
What's the in-store price on this game? I saw online it was around $30 american. I'm probably going to get it as soon as I see it, and have the available funds.

Supreme Court decision gives cops broader powers,
The Metal Maniac replied to a topic in Current Events
So, what happens if a person either does not have an ID, or simply doesn't have it on them? -
Tetris. I don't like Dr. Mario, mostly because one day, many ages ago, somoene showed my mother how to play it. A few weeks later, when I got my Nintendo back...seriously, my mom got all her friends playing the thing too, and you could wake up late at night (or early in the morning) and hear her pressing the buttons...she didn't like the sound of the game, you see, so she muted the TV. I have found though, that Tetris can be fun, especially when you're baked out of it playing 2-player games and praying to god that red brick drops soon so you can tetris the shit outta the poor bastard you're playing against.

Yeah, Tiger Driver does have a better ring to it. I dunno though...I always figure that driver moves are ones where the guy lands on his head (of course, that doesn't cover ALL head-impact moves, but enough of them to use as a catch-all, methinks) so I'd call it more of a driver then a bomb...but then again, if memory serves, the terms are almost interchangeable in Japan (death valley bomb and northern lights bomb both being examples of moves where someone lands on their head, yet are called bombs) so I guess it's too confusing to matter that much. Bottom line, damn Misawa for not being less confusing.

See, what gets me is, TECHNICALLY, I think that a Tiger Driver '91 should be called just a Tiger Driver, while a Tiger Driver should be called a Tiger Bomb. After all, the Tiger Driver is a bomb-type move, while the TD '91 is a driver-type move. Damn gimmick names...especially gimmick names that become THE names.

I say they should screw putting legends in the game, and just fill the CAW with all the stuff you'd need to make the legends. Kind of like in SD2 (?) where you had to unlock movesets, only extend that to making their costumes easy as well - like, maybe a pre-made nWo outfit, complete with shirt, jeans, and Kevin Nash's face. Because really, making them full characters only means they can put less actual, current wrestlers in the game. And like someone said, a lot of people just don't care about legends, so this way you could pick and choose exactly which ones you want.

Maybe in those 11 minutes of "doing nothing", he was *gasp* THINKING. I know that many people probably won't believe that in Bush's case, but hey.

Shit man, depending on the brand, you can pay 10 bucks for smokes around here. Damn government.

Favourite Opening Credits
The Metal Maniac replied to Insane Bump Machine's topic in Television & Film
The only film in which I've ever actually thought "wow, these opening credits were done well" was the recent Punisher film. So, that, I guess. Of course, I was stoned beyond belief, so your results may vary. -

Hell in Cell is done...What is the next "big" one?
The Metal Maniac replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
Cuz it's a WCW idea. I mean, I'd like to see it too, but there's the reason you won't. -

The Metal Maniac replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
Yeah, I still regret not seeing that match live. On tape, it came across as very blah. Of course, that was partially because I knew the finish, but it was also partially because you can see them hand the blade back and forth a number of times, and you can hear them calling spots the whole friggin' time. I dunno what it is about HHH, but MAN, sometimes you can hear him calling spots for days. The beer can after the finish is comical though, as is the fact that I'm pretty sure HHH bladed AFTER the finish. -
Movies worth owning for just one part
The Metal Maniac replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
I own both Matrix sequels, and rarely watch anything outside of the fight scenes. Like, when I watch Reloaded, I'll watch the Smith fight, skip to the Blade Leapers fight, and then watch until the end of the chase scene. Granted, that's about 40 minutes to an hour I think, but hey. Revolutions, I'll watch the Smith fight scene, and maybe some of the battle for Zion. That's it. -

This may sound weird, but I'd like to see a Three Stages of Hell on the Fly match. Basically, get both guys in the ring, and make a point that there's ladders, cages, whatever they need in the building. Ref flips a coin, and the winner, right then and there, calls the rules for the first fall. Then, you have the winner of the first fall call the rules for the second, winner of the second calls the third. It'd add a fair bit of unpredictability to the match (for the fans, at least) and they could realistically hype it as being the most unpredictable match in history, since no one even knows what the rules will be yet. I think it'd be interesting, and certainly no worse then a normal three stages of hell match. -
I still wanna know why people refuse to believe that a suicidal heroin addict killed himself.

The guy right above me, only for his avatar. He could stand to have a better sig picture though. Odd look on her face.

I think HitC matches can work fine without a big bump, so long as they're something like Taker/Brock - just really fucking violent, with blood everywhere. That's what a HitC match is about, as far as I'm concerned - violence, and two guys locked in there who beat the everloving piss out of each other until one is damn-near dead.

I agree that botched moves should be taken as just something that happens, and they shouldn't try to cover it - just go with it, and try to play it off as that guy's mistake, because hey, no one is perfect. However, I don't think that repeating a spot should NEVER be done - depending on the circumstances, (especially with tables) it may be necessary to try the move again. And even if not necessary, if they can come up with a good way to cover the botch and go for the spot again, power to them. I think the best example was when...DX, maybe?...tried to put Buh-Buh through a table. It didn't break, so Buh-Buh rolled off and fired off a few punches, before getting beat down and put through the table properly. Nothing wrong with that, methinks. Also, I don't think distance was Brock's problem. His timing was off. Like, he pretty much hits Angle with his head if I'm not mistaken, so he obviously could've cleared the distance. The thing is though, if you watch him, he goes to jump, and hesitates for a split-second. I really think that alone thows him off, because, like I said, his problem wasn't distance - it was the way that he landed. He never got his body around so he could land flat.

Check out this RoH Video I made
The Metal Maniac replied to DangerousDamon's topic in General Wrestling
I can guess it's Linkin Park, but no clue on the song. Nice video though. I just learned it's Breaking the Habit. -
"Sick of You" and "Fucking an Animal" are excellent tunes.
-
Yeah, but "Scream of the Butterfly" makes so little sense I figured it wouldn't matter.
-
Yeah, it'll probably win the GameFAQs poll...
The Metal Maniac replied to AndrewTS's topic in Video Games
That's such a crock of shit. I had no fucking clue what was going on in this game.
