Atari makes a good point - if they can make a game and convince a zillion people to buy it, regardless of the quality involved, why should they be punished for that? I understand WB's intentions, but it seems totally unfair to punish people who could be making them damn good money just because some people online didn't like the game.

Yes, only they're not metalheads. They just all live in a trailer park. It's done in the same fake documentary style, only better - I think one of the best scenes ever on the show was where this gunfight broke out, you hear someone scream "HOLY FUCK, I'M FUCKING SHOT!" and when the camera pans over, the boom mike operator is laying on the ground.

I enjoy how in this season, Corey and Trevor have gone from being Ricky's bitches to Sarah's bitches. I think the show is among the best on TV, but I'm biased - the show is filmed in my hometown, and as a result, I've met Ricky, Julian and Bubbles twice. Oddly enough, both times we were celebrating a friend's birthday (same guy both times) but were in two different bars. Of course, "met" is a stretch - the first time I merely made a drunken ass of myself, the second I decided they already had enough drunken asses bothering them. I also met Corey one night - he's a wrestling fan, and we happened to be in the same bar watching Summerslam. We had a chat about how fucking annoying it was that the feed was cut for the first match, so we missed Rey Jr. It's always interesting to be watching the show and thinking "hey, I know where that is" too. So...what would you people say is your favourite episode? I think mine is either "The Delusions of Officer Jim Lahey" or "What in the Fuck Happened to Our Trailer Park?"

-IB-, are you aware that Pantera has existed, in some form, for 20 years? Blind Guadian has been around for about 15. Being less old then Judas Priest doesn't make you recent by any stretch of the imagination. And how would you expect a band that never went away in the first place to make a comeback?
-
I'm actually going to see Slayer while they're on this Canadian tour with Damageplan. If they (DP) do some Pantera covers, I'll be happy.
-
See, the sad part is, I knew no one was really that slow... But with -ib-, I honestly wasn't sure.
-
Oh, I have. But only from people who know more then I do. Anyone else gets about the response you did.
-
If there's one thing I don't need, it's lectures on metal from you, kiddo.
-
You're joking, right? Like, seriously. You are kidding, right? Come on man, no one is THAT slow.
-
Yeah, there's a difference between an album having greater appeal then the norm of the genre, and being the crap that radios play constantly. Remember how we discussed that this wasn't the point? And if people wanted to know what you felt was worth *****, they would've asked? Yeah. I'm more into older metal then the newer stuff, I guess (even though most of the "older" bands I like are still making albums) though I do like some of the newer stuff. I dunno, I don't generally define my tastes in terms of age.
-
Can't you get stars simply by catching them off-guard? I seem to recall that if you could tag like, Piston Honda while he was setting up for one of his punches you'd get a star.
-
I still like when he starts biting Muta, then doing a bit of blood-mist.
-
My collection isn't small, (about 150 on last count, maybe 170 by now) but it's mostly all metal and stuff that I don't think would be considered ***** on a larger scale, you know? Like, I figure for an album to be ***** it should also have a wider appeal, which I think the albums I mentioned do. I have other albums that I might consider ***** in terms of just metal (like a bunch of other Maiden CDs and what-have-you) but I figured I'd just go for the overall stuff.
-
You say that as if almost every (non-squash) match in history didn't follow that basic guideline.
-
I forgot to point this out last night: No, they didn't. But you know what would've made them a hellava lot less likely to go apeshit? If you hadn't brought Linkin Park up in about the most confrontational way you possibly could've. Claiming that something is something "whether or not any of you want to admit it" is just ASKING for people to jump all over you. I'd say Paranoid, Black Sabbath, The Number of the Beast, and probably no more.
-
Nah, we still would; everyone else just beat me to it.
-
They do. But the point of this thread wasn't to find out what YOU think is a ***** album. The point was to find out which albums, considered to be ***** by the majority of society, people who frequent TSM own. I dunno why people wanted to know that, but I guess someone did. Thus, to make a statement like "to each their own" in such an environment is pointless. If he wanted to know which albums you think are *****, he would've asked. He didn't. I understand exactly the point you were trying to get across with such a quote, but the bottom line is, it means NOTHING to the discussion at hand. Hooray for civility. You know, if I cared, I might ask why you have such an opinion of me - but I don't.
-
That was the exact same match I saw it in, oddly enough.
-
Do you read threads before you post in them, or do you just assume you know what's going on?
-
Only until you admit that they never did a ***** album.
-
Dumb gimmicks is one thing. Blatantly lying about them is somehow dumber.
-
Oh my God, you poor unfortunate child... I still remember finally figuring out the timing to beat Bald Bull. I was estatic when that fucker went down. Eat shit, Bull! I never really got much farther then like, the Sandman. But question: Wasn't the Mr. Dream version the original?
-
Because he sure as hell implied that when he said he wasn't gonna watch the show anymore because he doesn't like it anymore. Yup.
-
It's not AS bad, but it is pretty bad. Yes, I have seen that match as well, but only like, once.
