  1. Well, if your Bears weren't so pathetically awful, they'd be doing it.
  2. Perhaps letting backups get playing time or running the ball to eat the clock would be a more prudent decision than desperately trying to score to protect their 41 point lead.
  3. At this point, the only reason they'd continue to score is to embarrass the other team. That's classless.
  4. It's their right, by all means, to run up the score. But it's still classless.
  5. What a bunch of punks. This is ridiculous. I hate it when Indy does it, and I hate it when Philly does it.
  6. Again, I'm not trying to say NO SIR THEY CAN NEVER BEAT THE STEELERS because quite frankly, any team can beat any other team on any day. However, with both teams at full strength, every indicator is that the Eagles can't handle the Steelers running game, and their passing game will be stunted by the Steelers' blitz (which it did pretty nicely in the first game) when the Eagles can't run the ball against their stout front seven.
  7. Townsend and Polamalu, as per the game already played. Joey Porter and either Bell (if he's healthy) or Foote, as per the game they already played. Not to mention Aaron Smith and James Farrior. Wee Willie Williams seemed to do the job just fine, so let's say him. Let's go to the other side of the ball. Who is going to cover Burress? Ward? Staley out of the backfield? El?
  8. It's nice to see that the Eagles are no better than the Colts in terms of running up the score.
  9. No, it has to be based on 3 year averages, from what I understand.
  10. A combination of very bad things would have to happen for Pittsburgh to lose to Philly, not the least of which is beating themselves. They're a solid team, and I'm not denying that. However, if Pittsburgh plays their game and doesn't beat themselves, they're not gonna lose to Philly. The matchups favor Pittsburgh against the Eagles far more than the matchups with Pittsburgh against New England.
  11. EXACTLY. Philly just got ahead so quickly in this game, ala Pittsburgh, that GB didn't have a chance. However, all a team really has to do is bracket TO off (which Pittsburgh could do primarily because of their safeties) and run blitz them.
  12. Green Bay comes back and wins 75-72
  13. Agreed, PK. I can see the Colts doing it if Manning throws about 70 passes out of a three step drop, but that's it. And the statement really isn't bullshit. Pittsburgh's O-Line made the Philly front seven look like they were on roller skates.
  14. THE PANTHERS, BAYBEE.
  15. GB's O-line isn't quite as proficient as Pittsburgh's at run blocking. There's other semantics issues I'd address, but that's for a different thread. I'm thoroughly confident that there's only two teams that can beat Pittsburgh right now, and they're New England and Indianapolis. I'd be happy to debate anyone about that in another thread.
  16. They still won't be able to stop the run if they play Pittsburgh again, especially if Duce is healthy.
  17. Pittsburgh was without quite a few people as well, so stop making excuses about "No Brian Westbrook!!!!!!!!!!" being the only difference. Pittsburgh flat out outplayed them.
  18. The clock always stops after an incomplete pass, but you're also looking at a fumble if it was blatant enough.
  19. There would be a loss of down in addition to the penalty, but it's not a safety unless he's significantly past the line of scrimmage, and I mean like 10 yards. In that case, it could be ruled a fumble and a touchback, but it's arbitrary.
  20. What's the point of the comment unless that's the underlying intention? Everyone knows that people parrot political criticism for their own gains. Why point it out unless you're saying that political criticism is a bad thing? If his comments had no point other than to state that our enemies use political criticism for their own advantage, he's the extreme and undisputed master of the obvious.
  21. I don't think he's ever tried to hide it, Eric.
  22. It might end up being something like Abu Ghraib.
  23. Hm. The idea of suppressing political opposition is correct, eh?
