    2007 NFL Playoffs

Damn, Gould barely snuck that one through. Great game so far, much better than the 9-7 snoozefest I had expected.

    2007 NFL Playoffs

Grossman's first big mistake of the day. That was really poorly done. Edit: Alexander's having a great day. I'm really surprised that the Seahawks have managed to score 24 points on Chicago, but I guess Seattle's at top form now that all the elements of their offense are back and playing to their capacity. Meanwhile, the Bears' offense has generally looked dysfunctional in this half, and isn't taking advantage of Seattle's weakened secondary the way they did earlier in the game.

Seattle is screwed. They're not beating the Bears if Chicago puts up 14 or more - they're already halfway there.
  4. Where'd you see that? All I've read so far is that it's likely, not that it's done. In any case, it's not automatically a terrible signing, just a fairly risky gamble.

Rockerfeller Center. I've never been, but I've heard it's amazing if you can avoid the kids dropping by after school for free gameplay and no shopping. http://www.nintendoworldstore.com/
  6. The deal for Schoenweis was for three years and 10.8 million dollars, which I guess is a bargain in this market even if I'm not completely sold on the guy's pitching talent.
  7. Fair enough. I don't mind the ending being really subtle so much as I do it being really abrupt.
  8. Fantastic film, with only two glaring flaws that I can name. Despite that, a terrific movie that captured the whole dystopian future thing better than any I've ever seen. The cinematographer deserves an Oscar for how brilliantly it was shot.

    House

Well, that was pretty quick. I had figured that the trial would last at least a few episodes, but at least Ritter's not around to drag this show down anymore. Edit: THREE WEEKS?! BASTARDS!
  10. "My Heart Will Go On"? Are you kidding me? I'm delighted with the way this is going so far. Maybe if Ohio State's beaten badly enough, the idiotic loudmouth Buckeye fans will go into hiding for the next six months or so.

    2007 NFL Playoffs

Damn. Well, I'm upset with how poorly the Jets played today, but I can't be disappointed with the season as a whole. The Jets are going to solidify over the offseason with their young talent growing stronger and more experienced, and I'm sure the front office will draft intelligently again and add more players that'll make an immediate impact. Go Saints, I guess.

Beautiful work from Jerricho there, tripling the Jets' offensive yards in one play with that long touchdown.

Yeesh, that doesn't bode well for KC.

    2007 NFL Playoffs

This is what I want to happen and is probably completely off from what will actually go down. Seahawks by 7 Eagles by 10 Jets by 3 Chiefs by 4 I'm really excited. Every single one of these matchups could potentially be great.
  15. Wedensday's episode was really good thanks not only to Michael's success, but because Betty is finally gone. And yeah, all the chefs seem to find Marcel completely insufferable when he just appears to be cocky and somewhat annoying. On the other hand, I saw the first minute of next week's episode on the Top Chef website wherein Marcel reads a poem, which just happens to be the worst thing ever written. Go watch the preview yourself if you don't believe me.
  16. Ah, to be a Lions fan. Is there any way Millen can be fired, or will he serve the length of his contract unless he quits?
  17. That alone wouldn't be so bad if the contestants weren't such unlikeable arrogant fucks.

    Football Overtime

Matching possessions. As was said in the other thread, though, it's unclear how the networks would react to longer NFL games delaying their programming.
  19. New York Jets Home: Buffalo, Miami, New England, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Washington, Kansas City Away: Buffalo, Miami, New England, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Dallas, NY Giants (ha), Tennessee Decidedly tougher than this season, but by no means overwhelmingly difficult. I'm definitely looking forward to the reception Herm Edwards gets at the Meadowlands and seeing how the crowd will be split at the Jets/Giants game.
  20. On that note, does anyone know when 2007 tickets usually go on sale? The Jets are in Cincinnati next season and I want to make sure I get a seat.

    NFL Week 17

I am really, really proud of the Jets' performance today and just their season in general. My expectations for this season have already been completely exceeded, so any wins from here on out are gravy. I don't know what would need to happen for the the Jets to get the Patriots in the first round, but that's exactly what I'm pulling for.

    NFL Week 17

That is one ugly 1 PM NFC lineup. We're looking at a worst game of the year candidate with SEA/TB.
  23. Yes, I am. They still definitely have the NL's most potent offense, and probably the NL's most potent bullpen.
  24. Yuck. You can have him at that price. It'll be tough, but the Mets will be fine with Glavine/Hernandez/Maine and whatever rookies they throw out there.
  25. Are you asking about games that never got a Japanese release, or that simply came out in America first? If it's the latter, I think Dead Rising could be example number one. From what I've heard, it's tremendously popular in Japan.
