Since Kof 98 was a dream match tourney and was not part of the official kof timeline the actual king of fighters tournament for the year of 98 was held in southtown by Geese Howard and was strictly a one on one tournament. It's also the tournament where Geese Howard was officially killed and Terry found and adopted a young Rock Howard. So MoTW is set at 2008. Although Real bout 2 and Real bout special are dream match games which are not considered part of the official kof timeline, only the first real bout game is.

Sorry I just cant stand any ff game, I even found FF6 a bore to play. Nor can I stand Tony hawk or any game made by EA besides fifa 96. Square has proven they can do much better if they tried, as games like chrono trigger, front mission, kingdom hearts and Vagrant Story are just simply so much better than any FF game I've played. I'm no FF buff so am I correct when I say that Tactics wasnt really done by square? If so then add that game to the list.

Shoryuken is a very good place for trading tips and combos, other than that its a cesspool of idiots calling each other scrubs every five posts.

I played haunted castle back in the day, swore at the machine a couple of times, kicked it and left. These feelings were later revisited when I downloaded the mame rom. Nothing like a constipated vampire hunter. As for simons quest, the game ticked me off to no end when I played it on the nes. Laughable whip reach, horrendous control and the fact that you could spend the entire game walking for hours on end and still having no clue where to go next.

For sure, I'm up for all types of kof discussion. I'm pondering if I should actually buy the ps2 kof 2k/2k1 deal. I already own the dreamcast counterparts and the rom sets...but the fanboy in me will probably give in. As for the backgrounds, I think 2d over 3d can work, but it needs to be done well. I personally like the backgrounds for CVS2, but only dreamcast since it doesnt suffer the horrible pixalation of the other console ports.

New artwork from arcadia magazine: Eh...not what I would have picked, but still change is nice. Joe is here, pretty lame artwork but at least Joe is in the game. And... The legendery wolf Terry Bogard! I dont even care if the game plays like 95, after seeing even this little artwork I'm sold.
