The Wal-Mart here really isn't all that bad, as far as Wal-Marts go. I've heard it's the biggest one in the province (though I'm not sure about that), but considering the amount of redneck-types you see around here, other Wal-Marts I've been in seem to have a higher concentration of them.

The Kingdome is insane. 20 home runs in 3 games.

Swept out of town, off to a great start.

The AL-only league draft is tomorrow night. We could really use a few more people in it.
-
Yeah, I'm fucked. Both Kazmir and Lackey are hurt to start the season, on top of Janssen. Not liking my pitching outside of Shields and maybe Marcum now.
-
I'm surprised he got more than 3 or so. Still, it's a joke.

I don't understand this. It's not like they've been afraid to suspend Pronger before and it was pretty blatant what he did. I didn't expect 30 games, but getting nothing is fucking ridiculous.

I just picked the Kingdome.

Chad Gaudin for Kevin Cash would have been a great trade if the Jays hadn't turned around and given Gaudin up for nothing themselves.

I agree that it looks cool, but the roof is way too similar to what they tried to use at Olympic Stadium, and that never worked right. I know that technology is better today, but I still think everyone should stay as far away from that design as possible.

MVP is worse than Marvin, there's just more of Marvin to hate.

http://majorleaguedowntown.com/default.aspx I know this has been floating around for a while, but still, a couple things: a) While the park looks cool, the roof is WAY too close to Olympic Stadium, and we all know how well that turned out. b) This actually has nothing to do with the stadium, but something I've been wondering; If the Rays' new name is supposed to evoke images of the sun, or whatever, then why are the uniforms dark blue? Also, 'Tampa Bay Rays' sounds stupid, just drop the 'Bay' out of the name, even if they don't play in the actual city of Tampa, no one cares. Wouldn't be too hard to change the cap logo, either.

Yeah, it was docked, IIRC.

The articles I've been reading say that the NHL wants a team from another big market against the Rangers. That rules out the Islanders and Devils, since it's the same market. I've heard Chicago as a potential team, but if they're going to get their own game soon after, that doesn't really make sense. Boston or Detroit seem to make the most sense, but I guess Washington would fit, too.
-
Chicago will get one eventually, probably in 2 seasons now. And it should be at Wrigley.
-
So, outdoor game at Yankee Stadium. I kind of think that the last event at Yankee Stadium should be a Yankee game, but this could be really cool. I'm a little surprised that the Yankees are keen on the idea, though, and I'm a little worried it'll be against the Bruins, so we'll get bombarded with more Boston/New York rivalry bullshit.
-
We did that, but with a triangle on top, to make it a house.
-
He should for the rest of the season.

Oh yeah, and I met Bob Barron once, too.
