  1. This is an honest question. For the playoffs, who would you rather have in net, Gerber or Emery? Ron Tugnutt.
  2. Ha. At least you took me to extras twice. Better luck next time, kid.
  3. Looks like Ann Coulter behind him.
  4. This is a good argument against west coast mods.
  5. 2 game winning streak. Watch out.
  6. The Leafs have the 7th pick. I'd hope they could package one of the no-trade clause guys with it and trade up, but I'm not hopeful. At least I know they won't trade it for a goalie!
  7. Never underestimate the appeal of the Kingdome.
  8. I'm surprised he lasted this long. He looked like he could go any day when they were bugging him in Bowling for Columbine.
  9. Darrin Fletcher is pretty funny, I think. He's probably the best of the Jays' rotating analysts, although none of them are that great. In a non-Blue Jays related topic; I don't think Jon Miller is too bad of an announcer, but why does he feel his has to over-pronounce every Spanish name?
  10. This is the worst played game I've seen in a while.
  11. I wanted Ottawa/Washington, but whatever. East: Montreal, Pittsburgh, Washington, New York West: Detroit, San Jose, Colorado, Dallas I think I'll pick a Penguins/Sharks final.
  12. I'm up to 12 losses in a row now (and 10 less wins over-all than the next worse team). Last in runs scored and runs allowed. I'm going after the '62 Mets here.
  13. Yeah.
  14. During the Jays game today (on Sportsnet), they were showing the new home clubhouse, and all the TVs were on TSN. I had to laugh that no one thought to switch the channel.
  15. The Jays won while wearing their powder blue pajamas. I really like this starting rotation, 1-4, at least. Anything they can get out of Litsch is gravy.
  16. A little frustrating, since the Jays probably could have swept that series with a few bounces here or there, but I love what I'm seeing from the pitchers so far. I just hope the hitting can come around, because it's seeming too much like last year so far for my liking.
  17. Yeah, if nothing else, I'm having fun watching all the different ways my team loses. I had 12 errors in that series.
  18. I have to mention that Drunk Jays Fans is a great blog, even if you don't care about the Jays. These guys are hilarious. Mean, but funny.
  19. I guess that makes sense, but I still don't like that Andre Dawson's OPS is almost cut in half, Wade Bogg's OBP is .100 points lower, while Chris Speier is my best hitter and has already hit 2 more homers in half as many games as he did in real life. I love the pitching line from Dennis Rasmussen in my last game: 1 1/3 IP, 2 hits, 7 runs (none earned), and 6 walks. "Dennis Rasmussen(2-7) took the loss. He was a hard-luck loser as he did not allow an earned run in his 1 and 1/3 innings of work."
  20. Pretty much all of my hitters are under-performing their real-life stats, despite the fact that I picked the best hitters park available. My pitchers are pretty awful across the board, too, but I expected that coming in.
  21. I think it's AnnieEclectic.
  22. Those Atlanta scorekeepers are having a bang-up season.
  23. I wasn't really discussing any policy. Just pointing out that Mike is full of shit.
  24. The Sens are like the 4th worst team in the league since New Years. The fact that they had something like a 9 point lead in the conference at that time and have a chance of missing the playoffs now is incredible. At least with most big baseball collapses, the team still finished in 2nd place. The Sens could end up being caught by EIGHT teams.
  25. Hey, Andrew Raycroft is alive.
