  1. Shit, I was sure that game was lost once they tied it up 6 seconds after Draper's goal. And that shot of Gretzky when Lecavallier missed the shot and then scored a second later was awesome.
  2. Keeping with the weird pattern that WWE DVD releases have in Canada (I just picked up the Eddie DVD today), these 2 have been at the local Music World for the past few weeks for about $9. Must be a Canadian Wal-Mart deal, since they have those ones here, too.
  3. Even though Luongo isn't exactly a slouch, I'm still a little worried with Brodeur out. And those little 9/11 patches are a nice touch.
  4. The Eddie Guerrero DVD and SNL - The Best of Christopher Walken.
  5. 'Crustacean Nation' was a stupid idea for a toy since most kids either a) don't know how to pronounce 'crustacean' or b) know what one is. I'm kind of surprised that no one in the boardroom brought that up (unless I missed it).
  6. Like I said earlier, MuchMoreMusic plays this movie every few months and it's on this weekend, so I'll have something to watch.
  7. I haven't had any starters pitch this week. Schmidt, I think, was the only one who's pitched so far, and he's been off lately, so I'm almost afraid to start him. I don't think I'll start Ponson against the Yankees or Leiter against the Phillies, since the downside is too big, but my 5 closers (Foulke, Hoffman, Cordero, Chacon, Speier) have all pitched pretty well so far and have kept my ERA low and picked me up 6 saves so far.
  8. I can't remember how old I was, but some kid at school was saying how the Tooth Fairy wasn't real. After a little soul searching, it dawned on me that that meant that the Easter Bunny and Santa probably weren't real, either.
  9. Anson Carter's OT winner in the 2003 World Championships should be on there, too.
  10. IT WAS A JOKE.
  11. This Man Has No Penis -->
  12. It would be nice if my shitty cable company got this channel.
  13. It's funny, I saw a car from Delaware in the parking lot of the store I work at the other day and I guess it's fitting that the liscense plates are the cheapest looking ones I've ever seen. They looked like they were plastic with the numbers painted on, not even raised or anything.
  14. It's not just the States. The Toronto crowd wouldn't exactly be thrilled (there'd probably be a lot of no-shows) and CBC's ratings would plummet.
  15. Yeah, that's kind of the sad truth I was getting at. And you ignored the rest of my post.
  16. Oh, and I'm kind of upset that Sweden's gone, since seeing if they won, it would have been cool/strange to see Sundin skate around the ACC ice with a Cup or some sorts in his hands. And I think it's fitting that a Slovakia team featuring Marion Hossa and Zdeno Chara lost a big game in Toronto. At least those 2 guys are used to it.
  17. Whoa, the Jays held on. Escobar gets the REALLY tough luck loss, going 8, giving up only 5 hits and striking out 12.
  18. Nice pitchers duel so far tonight in Anaheim. Justin Miller's only given up 1 hit and faced only 2 over the minimum into the 7th, but the Jays are only up 1-0 on a run on off a 1st inning Delgado double that only happened since no one in the outfield picked the ball up and Adam Kennedy couldn't come up with it. Escobar's got 11 strike-outs, too. I'm just waiting for Miller and/or the bullpen to blow it, though.
  19. Probably around 10. MuchMoreMusic seems to show it every couple of months and I'll usually watch most of it then. I bought the VHS back in the day at McDonalds and should probably pick up the DVD eventually.
  20. Pelle Lindbergh
  21. Forgot about Jacques Villeneuve winning the '97 F1 Championship. Him winning the '95 Indy 500 could be on there, too. Greg Moore dying is another one I forgot that should be pretty high.
  22. I'll FINALLY get to watch more than the last 6 or 7 minutes of one of Canada's games on Saturday. There's nothing worse than standing around, doing nothing, 99% sure that they're winning and having that 1% putting that little fear in your head ('well, they might not be').
  23. I was finished a bit early tonight at work, so I made a list of things I think will probably finish high on the list. No particular order: -Salt Lake hockey golds (I think they'll probably split them into 2, men's will obviously be higher) -Donovan Bailey winning '96 Olympic 100 metres (4 X 100 will be on, too) -Ben Johnson getting busted for steroids -Gretzky getting traded to LA -Joe Carter's HR -'92 World Series win -Roberto Alomar's HR in the '92 ALCS -Dennis Martinez's perfect game -Lui Passaglia's game winning kick in '94 Grey Cup vs. Baltimore -Some World Junior Hockey championship moment, probably 5th straight gold -'94 baseball strike (because of the Expos) -'94 hockey lock-out -Silken Laumann's bronze medal in Barcelona after her injury -'94 Olympic hockey final shoot-out -'98 Olympic hockey semi-final shoot-out -'98 Olympic women's hockey final -'87 Canada Cup (Lemieux and Gretzky) -Mike Weir winning the Masters -Probably some Doug Flutie CFL moment There's some other obvious stuff, too, that's already been on the ESPN list (Buckner, Gibson, etc.), but this stuff either wasn't on that list or will rank higher on TSN's.
