So what you are saying is that they only play character parodies of themselves? More or less. It's been that way for Walken as of late. Shatner's been milking the same style since Star Trek. And I'm sure that they know it. And really, I don't care that they do - they're still good at what they do. from what I hear, Walken isn't hardly self-parody-ish at all in Around the Bend

actually, depending on who it's against, a rabbit would last quite a while in a knife fight. One would also have to take into consideration the physical condition of said rabbit, and the location of the knife fight, but with a large enough area, and if the rabbit is able-bodied, it could last quite a while. Unless, of course, the opponent is a circus knife-thrower. If it's a circus knife-thrower, then the rabbit is fucked.
