  1. http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/TV/10/26/t...reut/index.html Good riddance. I think I'm right about 30 Rock though, and it's now on my must watch list and I'll stick with it to the end.

The 360 and PS3 are powerful in different ways, and some games will look better on one machine while other games will look better on the other. Don't get too caught up over such petty bs like that.
  3. I guess we'll see Bobby Eaton (Earl Of Eaton) pretty soon.
  4. Why in the hell aren't more of you talking about this one?
  5. From PWInsider: World Wrestling Entertainment announced this afternoon that long-time British star David Taylor, who debuted last week on Smackdown as William Regal's tag partner, suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee during last night's Smackdown taping. Taylor will have surgery this Friday. There's no timetable for his return. Taylor, a long-time veteran of British and German rings, had also teamed with Regal in WCW as a member of the Blue Bloods. He had worked for some time as a trainer for WWE, mostly out of the Deep South Wrestling territory, before debuting on WWE TV last week. Damnit! I'll give the audio a listen real quick and see what it says and then edit this post with the information. EDIT: He says that the NFL game was the most watched cable airing ever, and WWE is placing all of the blame on that, which isn't surprising. The 10:45-11:00 segment did a 3.2, the lowest rated part of the show - this was the DX segment if anyone cares (overrun did a 3.8). Nothing specific, but I suppose it's a mixture of everything else here. There were around 6,000 people at the show last night, and everyone thought the show was horrible. Even people working for WWE told them that it was a very bad show, to the point where people were scratching their heads wondering just what in the world was going on. This person is Michael Cole, and it's all because he is now over WWE.com and has a lot of control over the site and he feels like he's worth something to the company now, and so on. Before that, he was always complaining and acting like he was always down. Nothing much here other than talking about stuff that we already know. How ECW is becoming more of a "third brand" instead of trying to give it a different feel, blah blah blah. Nothing major, but hey, you can't have something major every day.

NOTE: The following isn't meant to be a bash of the PS3 or anything like that. I just found it all funny. I'm not even going to say anything really. Instead, I'll just ask a simple question: Which of the following experiences looks to be the most fun, especially to a casual gamer? The Wii Experience The PS3 Experience
  7. Well, I just beat Family Guy. It was a pretty good time, even though it was short. Truth be told though, I don't think this game needed to be any longer, considering the setup and all of that. The final boss battle was awesome! I guess it's back to Bully for me.
  8. That's about where I am. Since the Family Guy game was mentioned, here are my thoughts on it. Well, instead of BestPrices (through the Google Checkout deal it comes to around $23.xx) I bought it at a local Blockbuster since I had most credit than I thought. I'm almost to the end of the game, and it's been an ok way to blow time while having a few laughs along the way. It's nothing technically great, but you know that going in. It's cookie cutter gaming all the way, with a Family Guy coat of paint, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. You could beat it with a rental, and there isn't anything to do after you beat it other than the little mini-games, but those are so simple that you'll never go back to do them ever again unless it's just to show them to someone else. I'd even go so far as to say that if you can just buy it for around $20, then it isn't that bad of an idea. You MUST be a Family Guy fan to enjoy it. I find it funny that so many people say that they hate Brian's stealth missions, because that is just about my favorite part of the game! It's like one of those old NES puzzle games or something. Heck, I'd buy a cheap game just totally full of missions like that. I like the themes of Peter's stages, and the oldschool Stewie levels where you are almost sorta playing some of those oldschool arcade shooters were great also. It's not a "bad" game, but it's not good enough to be worth ANY more than $30. The entire thing feels like an old NES game to me, and that's one of the reasons that I like it as much as I do. There have also been quite a few times that I've laughed out loud.
  9. Not to mention that fans would pop the hell out for the SSP. Every WCW show that I ever went to, other than the big stuff like Goldberg, Flair, and that sort of thing the SSP would get the biggest pop of the night.
  10. If you're talking about what I said about people looking at this sort of thing as stupidity, I agree it is to that point for some, but mainly for those who play games, and since the age of a gamer keeps going up, most of the idiots who still speak out so strongly about the most minor of things are getting up there in age. I don't think it'll be to the point I'm talking about for a number of years still, say another decade. Yeah, the age is a bit too high. I do know that the average age keeps going up all the time though. I'd say that it's more around 27 or so right now, but that's just a guess. I've been playing games since, well, always, and I'm 26 years old. When I would go to the stores, it used to just be young kids and that's all, but now I see mainly people my age. I think the average is going to keep going up until it hits that 33 year old mark or so though.
  11. There was just a report on Fox News about this game. It report was about a school district in Florida warning parents about the game because critics say that it could inspire the kind of violence seen in the Columbine incident. In the report, they intercut scenes from the GTA series into it. The goal is to give the game a "M" Rating to make sure no one over 18 years old can buy it. It's just more of the same sort of bullshit. During the report they had different stats on the screen: -Average game player is 33 years old -Average game buyer is 40 years old -2005: 85% of games sold rated "E" Years from now, there will come a day where video games are viewed in the same way as other forms of entertainment, and all of this bullshit will be looked back on as pure stupidity, by just about everyone of all ages.
  12. I know that to be fact. I was there on September 14, 1998 in Greensville SC the night that he beat Juventud Guerrera for the CW title right after the PPV with the "Control of the Flock" match on PPV, and when he won the title the fans went absolute apeshit over it. I remember being so shocked at the reaction, even though I was into it as well. That was also the Nitro with Goldberg/Sting and when Flair returned to WCW and reformed the Horsemen. I just went to look up the show to see everything that was on it, and noticed that on the following Nitro, September 21, 1998, the first match was Wrath b Nick Disnmore, and on his OWW page it says: World Championship Wrestling: # September 21, 1998 - WCW NITRO: Wrath defeated Nick Dinsmore.. # September 25, 1998 - WCW THUNDER: Ernest Miller defeated Nick Dinsmore.. # September 28, 1998 - WCW NITRO: Scott Steiner defeated Lenny Lane and Nick Dinsmore I'm sure most of you know that, but I don't remember it at all.
  13. This is such a load of bullshit. Even if some of you didn't like the site or never used it, this is still a very bad thing for all of us. I received the following email:
  14. Hmmm, Bishoff helps Orton/Edge. Now just to call them the nWo and I called it perfectly.
  15. I could see Vince sticking Bishoff out there to be with Orton and Edge, calling them the "new" nWo.
  16. Flair should bring in the Varsity Club to take on the SS.

  18. Watch this one: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5...40071&hl=en JT is busy at the moment: http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/bully/jack-fa...ully-209583.php http://www.gamespot.com/news/6159812.html?tag=lastword;link
  19. Speaking of bad gimmick matches, how about the Kiss My Ass match in WCW, involving Flair and Dusty...and a real ass?
  20. If only Saphire was still with us.
  21. Bring on Arn and Tully, please God.
  22. I await the day when the Cry-Baby match is featured on the "this week".
  23. "Yes, I said electrocuting him!" Holy crap, great "this moment in history".
  24. Other than Kennys a much bigger prick in actual life......but he's marrying Mickie James so that makes him a lucky bastard. This is true. I dunno, he sorta looks like him, and his little rant just now reminded me of when Owen finally told off Bret. It's been said by just about everyone, but big things are in his future.
  25. Kenny reminds me a great deal of Owen Hart.
