Let's Create Terrible Gimmicks for WWE!
Downhome replied to Phoenix Fury Legdrop's topic in The WWE Folder
Does he have an Adolph Hitler mustache looking birthmark right under his nose? -
Go check out the Hills Have Eyes thread, seriously. Had Tom Cruise not started to act like the biggest tool of all time last year, I doubt they even would have done the episode in the first place. They didn't really have a choice after all of his bullshit. I mean, how can South Park not dive in after all of that after the way he was acting. So, you are now Papa Jingas to fanofcoils?

Even the plane that Chef was leaving on in the "previously on" segment was a reference to Scientology. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060324/ap_en_tv/tv_south_park

Having shitty characters that are poorly written is stupid in any form. Just simply having stereotypical characters period is not, itself, stupid. Just go down through all forms of entertainment, past and present like I said before, and you'll see that if morons were actually PC enough to not have any characters like that, then we would have missed out on a hell of a lot of pretty entertaining shit. -

Is your new hobby proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are a bloody twat or something? Jesus Christ. You have the comprehension "skills" of two year old...a two year old without very good comprehension skills at all even. I posted that in the other thread the other day, and I'm very pleased that they did just that. This is easily one of the top South Park episodes of all time. This episode was just another battle, and I believe that this war will wage on. I'm really going to enjoy it.

I just think your problem is that it's a shitty character, regardless of if it's a stereotype or not, and I agree with that. Why the hell bring his "mama" on TV in the first place? It's just pointless, and I don't really want to see it no matter how the character is presented. I just wanted to point out how not all stereotypical characters are bad, it's retarded to try to get that PC with wrestling, or anything else really. As long as it's done in a solid entertaining way, there isn't anything wrong with it. Mama Benjamin does not meet those requirements for the most part in my eyes? Did you guys hate Slick? As far as I remember, most people loved that character, and he was a stereotype and a half. -

I think that's a very cheap out to say that you can't hold anything against the Stone Cold character because of that reason, but if you want, I'll give it to you. What about Finlay? How about Sgt. Slaughter? How about the entire F.B.I.? How about Eddie Guerrero? Brother Love? Kaientai? Ric Flair made an entire career by portraying a stereotype of the rich snobby guy. Hillbilly Jim? All Owen Hart was when he first got really famous was a stereotype of the jealous brother. Sheik & Volkoff? Brooklyn Brawler? If your point is that stereotypical wrestlers are fine as long as they are "good", that's fine. But if your point is that they shouldn't have stereotypical wrestlers period, then that's just fucking stupid. Just about any given wrestler is a stereotype of some sort. That's just the way the characters come to be, and there isn't anything wrong with that at all. They just wanted to go the comedic route with Mama Benjamin, and so what? I don't give a shit if she's a stereotype or not, her being "strong willed" wouldn't have changed the fact that the character shouldn't have been created in the first place, and it would have been just as stupid. Like I said before - out of everything there is to complain about when it comes to WWE, Mama Benjamin should be down at the bottom of the list. There's a hell of a lot worse things wrong with the company than the fact that one of their characters, who isn't even on TV right now, is a "stereotypical southern black woman". I still say that Austin is the biggest stereotype of them all, regardless of how much he is actually like the character on TV. -

What exactly does all of that matter? The Stone Cold character is just about the most stereotypical character in wrestling history. The entire problem here is that Mama Benjamin is a stereotype, right? Or are you saying that a stereotypical character is fine as long as it draws money? Or how about a more recent character, like Finlay? He couldn't hardly be anymore of a stereotype, but most people here love the guy. -

I take it you hate Stone Cold Steve Austin also, right? -

Out of all of the things that are worth complaining about having to do with WWE right now, Mama Benjamin should be down near the bottom of the list. I don't see what the big deal is at all. -

I can't believe people are actually saying that WWE should be more PC. If there weren't stereotypes in wrestling, how many characters would we actually have? Hell, over the entire history of wrestling, and all other forms of entertainment, how many characters would we have missed out on if there weren't stereotypes? Would you rather Mama Benjamin be more like Clair Huxtable? I don't have a problem with the character at all, I just don't think that she was needed at all, and I have never really seen the point in it. -
I saw this tonight, and I was fucking entertained big time. I liked it a hell of a lot better than Devil's Rejects and most other movies of this type that have been released lately. I wouldn't even mind seeing it again in the theater sometime. I don't understand how any horror fan can't find something about this movie to really get into. And by the way, and I hardly ever say anything like this, but fanofcoils, you are a fucking moron to the tenth degree if you couldn't understand what the movie was about. Do you have the most extreme case of ADD of all time or are you just seriously a moron? You can't blame a movie because you are so dense that you can't follow the most obvious of plots. You should stop watching movies of any sort right now, and register yourself officially as a fucktard. You sir, are a bloody twat. Good day.

I don't get it either. A case can be made for Jack Mulligan being inducted by himself, but there wasn't a chance that they were going to do that (Jack Lanza was a road agent, or something like that, in WWE in the 90's). I think it's more of an excuse to get Mulligan in there, instead of the overall tag team of The Blackjacks.
-
I doubt LOD will be inducted untill Animal's time in the ring is over. He recently said that he plans to wrestle for two more years, and then become an agent.

So the sign Jamal, then never put 3MW back together on TV, and then they release Rosey? That's makes a lot of sense.

Most of the series was just Roseanne writing a book (it started when Dan built the room in the basement for her to write in), so it was all like a dream. From Wikipedia: Storyline of the season Roseanne Conner's "real life" Dan Conner survived his heart attack Darlene married David Becky married Mark Roseanne's mother, Bev, was a lesbian The Conner family won the lottery Roseanne Conner's "real life" Dan Conner died after his heart attack at Darlene's wedding Darlene married Mark Becky married David Roseanne's sister, Jackie, was a lesbian The Conner family did not win the lottery I've always wanted Family Guy to do a "very special episode". It starts off, and they almost instantly dive in to the major storyline (Peter has cancer, Chris kills someone, Meg is raped, Lois has a miscarriage, Stewie is kidnapped by a child killer, etc...). People would keep expecting some sort of crazy comedy bit to make fun of the situation, but it never comes, and the episode just ends without anything of the normal Family Guy type of show. Most would hate it, but to me it would be funny as hell. Then again, I was a big fan of the South Park deal where they fucked with the fans with that cliffhanger episode.

I actually ordered it a few days ago, and I feel dirty for doing so.
-
I'd find it funny if they just used audio clips from previous episodes, but they make it perfectly obvious what they are doing, with pauses in his speech, different tones and volume in his sentences because they were taken from different recordings, and all of that. Maybe that's what they do, and they try to figure out what his wrong with him in that sense.

I love when a crowd is dead, but they pass it off by saying that the fans are "stunned".
