This has been money well spent for me. I've been going through the matches on here for a while now.
-
I think Hogan not being at RAW helps the angle, but that might just be me.
-
I signed up for this tonight for the first time. The Simmons/Oz match is great: -I forgot how fucking retarded "The Wizard" looked. -Gotta love that one guy in the crowd going "BOOOOOORRRRRRRRRING!" over and over again. -I loved Tony's line: "Well, it looks like The Wizard just moved. I thought he was frozen over there."
-
I can't remember the last time that I hated the champs as much as I do right now, when it comes to in-ring work and other factors. For example, I love the character of Carlito, but I almost always hate his matches. The two world champs are horrible also in my eyes.

A Val Venis production? Wasn't Edge married to Val's sister, or something like that once anyway?
-
I laughed my ass off at him "shooting", then tried to seriously say that he took things into his own hands by attacking Edge backstage, as well as trying to make the upcoming match look real. Make up your mind WWE, shoot or work. You can't have it both ways.

My interest in this Edge/Hardy feud just about died tonight. By this point, for me, it's totally on life support. I don't mind a shoot every now and then, you know? But when you go to the extreme that Hardy did so tonight, you crossed the line. Also, was I the only one who was more shocked/offended at Matt Hardy saying he wished Edge would die, get killed, DIE in a car wreck than I was at anything having to do with Hassan?
-
RAW was shit tonight for the most part. It's a sad and pathetic day when I am able to say, with a straight face mind you, that Chris fuckin' Masters and Gene Snitsky were my second favorite part of the entire show (I loved the HBK stuff). I mean, what the hell? I'm just glad I couldn't watch it live tonight, and watched it on DVR. The best part of the night to me was the return of Mike Sanders and his "pony".

According to OWW, Tatanka turned 40 on 6/8/05.
-
I always thought they should have pushed Tatanka to the top. From what I hear, he's also a pretty great guy. *shrugs*

I hope that these guys get moved up to RAW or SD after Heat/Velocity are canceled. With our luck though, they'll all be released. -

Johnny Sinjer? Johnny Swangler? Has anyone ever heard of this guy? I sure haven't. Sorry, I couldn't resist. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And you win this thread. Come on people. How could you not know that was Johnny Swinger, especially when they pointed out that he was, in fact, a swinger? I've always been a huge fan of the guy. -
What would be the best creative team possible?

If that is totally true, I don't see why more people don't give him at least a little bit of credit since HHH pretty much totally lost the Benoit feud, and then was absolutely dominated from start to finish in the Batista feud. While HHH shouldn't be a booker/writer at this point, I think he would do a pretty solid job once he retires from in-ring action. I've always been one to believe that an active wrestler should never be a part of creative. -
It all depends on where the next few RAWs are taking place at though.

I have the Eugene deal figured out: Each week leading up to SummerSlam, Kurt Angle will come out dressed as a different person each week, using a different voice and everything, claiming to be from whatever town they are in, and each week Eugene will beat Kurt Angle. It will be "groundbreaking comedy" for WWE. By the time SummerSlam comes around, Kurt will finally come out on the RAW right before SS, and claim that he's been on vacation up to that point, and will then demand his "first" rematch with Eugene at the PPV.
-
But it all goes back to the same thing: It's just not fair to compare the two, especially those two totally differt eras. The times were just so totally different.

I really don't understand why Heyman isn't a part of the team right now. Did they ever give a valid reason for removing him in the first place? -
So far, we know that it wouldn't include Vince, Steph, soap writers, and people from Nickelodeon. I don't really know too much about all of this, but I'm really interested to see who you would put together. Could Vince Russo ever be useful if he had a filter to work through? I'm not talking about a team that could just be able to put together fantastic matches either. I'm talking about a team that could do both that, as well as put together great storylines, involving both the obviously talented people like Benoit and Angle, along with even some of the people that you may not be huge fans of.

I seem to remember hearing that Shane was really big on the cruiserweights also, but I may be wrong in that. Speaking of Test, where did he end up going to?
-
I guess it just runs in the family. Has Shane ever had any real creative control over the company as a whole?
-
We've been through this before. There were a tone of different factors that led to WCW closing it's doors. Many that we saw on our TV screens, and just as many more that went on behind closed doors.
-
I just saw this headline at PWInsider: LOOKING AT A 'WHERE'S BATISTA?' EDITION OF SMACKDOWN and it just sorta shocked me. I didn't even notice, not even for a second, that Batista didn't even show up on the show at all. I'm not sure what that says about me, him, SD, or all of the above.

It's a long read, but parts of it are pretty entertaining and interesting, as well as some more of his usual stupidity. http://www.ultimatewarrior.com/DVDRumorResponse-07.27.05.htm

I'm starting to think that Stephanie McMahon just might be in reality, a 13 year old boy.

I think it's fine for a valet to be around, but not like this. It was bad enough before, their entire thing was just about Melina and her looks and her entrance. Now though, now it's a million times worse. It's just another woman to take the focus off of the wrestlers. Then to make it to another level, she has fake dog shit on her face. I mean...how can wrestling fans not be outraged at this? I'm just sick of all of these angles where the focus is on the divas, and not the wrestlers. I hated the HHH/Steph feud with Jericho as a pawn, I hate Kane/Lita with Edge as the pawn, and I hate this new angle. I hate it every time they put a woman with a tag team for no good reason as well, like Stacey with Hurricane/Rosey. I didn't see anything wrong with them being alone. Now that she is with them, all that people talk about and pay attention to are her. I'm fine with a few women being around taking part, but these days it's just out of hand. Take the entire Sable/Mero thing for example. It was, in theory, the exact thing I hate today, with her being the attention hog and taking the focus off of him, but it was also different. For one, it was turned into a complete angle, and two, they didn't do that all of the time back then. Same thing with Sunny and the Godwins, and that entire thing. I was cool with that, because it was somewhat new. Just like WWE seems to do with everything, except with good matches, they are over doing this trend. I mean, why in the world did they bring Booker T's wife onto TV in the first place? We need more angles like Hogan/Savage/Elizabeth and Savage/Flair/Elizabeth. Liz was a huge part of both angles, but the hatred that the men had for one another was really expressed and focused on, and in the end (in my eyes), Liz didn't ever totally overshadow the workers. She was a vital part of the feuds, but she was just a PART of the feud, the entire thing was not about just her, or her vs. one of the workers.
