    SAW/Ray

Not only will he be nominated, but he'll more than likely WIN. To shine a bit of light on all of this In Loving Color talk, think of it like this. Not only will one ILC cast member be nominated for best actor, but more than likely we'll see two...the other being Jim Carey for ESotSM.
  2. I hate some of the changes, very much, but I'll be buying it for one reason and one reason alone. It's the only reason I really buy wrestling games anyway, it's just about the only thing I base my buying a wrestling game on. The gameplay. In the IGN review it states that the gameplay actually improved, and that is one hell of a good thing. Add to that the fact that Bret Hart is in this game, and buying it becomes a no-brainer to me.
  3. I never opened it. I just went to the customer service desk and told them that I recently bought the set and then said I was wondering if they would give me a gift card for it, and they did. I've done it before, and I do not feel bad about it seeing that they are just going to put it on the shelf and eventually sell it anyway.

    SAW/Ray

I pulled double duty tonight at the theaters. I saw Ray first, then right after that I saw a special showing of Ghostbusters at another theater down the street. It was awesome seeing Ghostbusters on the big screen by the way, and was a flat out awesome time what with it being a packed theater. We all had a great time watching that one. But before that, was Ray. If you've read my posts in the past about this film, you know that I had high hopes for this one. Not just for the film, but also about the performance of Foxx. I must say now that I've seen it, well, it more than lived up to what I wanted. I've heard many say the last 30 minutes go by very slowly, but to me I didn't feel that. As a matter of fact, the film blew by so fast to me that I was pissed when it ended. I can't remember the last time I was left wanting more, more and more! Seeing this film was unlike any experience that I've ever had at the movies. Not only was just about everyone in the theater moving to the sounds of the fantastic music that was featured throughout the film, but at the very end of it...get this, I experienced the first EVER standing ovation after a showing of a film. It wasn't just for the film though, obviously, seeing how Ray recently passed away, so it seemed fitting to me. It was also a packed theater, with the majority of the crowd being African American. As for the film itself, it was not perfect, but it was indeed fantastic. I'll write more on the actual film later, but I do give it two thumbs up, or a score of 8.5/9.0 out of 10. If I have to say something against the film, it is that it somewhat suffers from the same thing that "Ali" suffered from. You are dealing with a man whose life just can not totally fit in a feature length film, and because of that you have jumps in time that at times do not make sense, the editing seems a bit off at time, and there is just a lot that they don't have the time to showcase. As for Jamie, I do believe this film has cemented him as a huge name now. There is no doubting what he accomplished here. What you have here is a true presentation of acting, where the actor not only is acting like a character, but instead they BECOME said character to the point where you believe they are actually who they are acting out. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a performance as much as this. Jamie Foxx...was Ray Charles, it was that perfect. This shouldn't take you surprise though, since Foxx really devoted himself to this role, and you can tell that he wanted nothing but the best from this role. My hat goes off to him. Jamie Fox, you have arrived. I do not mean to discredit the supporting cast by the way. There isn't a single person involved in this project that wasn't solid or better. Everyone involved in this film should really be proud. If you ask me, this was a very fitting film to showcase the life of Ray Charles. I'm sure they have made him proud.
  5. I did my weekly rounds again, and this is what I picked up. From a couple of pawn shops, I picked up the following: $5 each: Apollo 13: CE Star Wars: Episode I Terminator 3 $10: South Park: The Complete First Season Then I took the Roswell Season One set that I bought from Amazon for $13.xx to WalMart today, and they ended up giving me a $50.xx gift card. I then took the gift card to Sam's Club, and picked up the following with the credit: Arrested Development: Season One Hellboy 3-Disc Director's Cut
  6. That's nothing. I took over Glen Park (I think that is the name of the place) using nothing but that item.
  7. I just tried the mission "Just business" for the first time, and was killed, but wow what fun that was. This is the kind of mission that I wish I could just go back and do again just for the heck of it.
  8. As an example of how I keep making money to buy things using only my PayPal funds, here you go. That sealed Toy Story I bought at a pawn shop for only $8 that I mentioned at the top of this page...well, I sold it on eBay for $51.
  9. Check out this thread at GameFAQs if you want to see some cool shit, and don't mind something possibly being spoiled (in terms of items/vehicles). http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessag...&topic=17151220
  10. The first one was horrible in my opinion, with only two or three scenes and/or shots worth anything at all. But for what it's worth, here is the trailer to the sequel. EDIT: Damnit, I forgot the s in that one word in the title. Either way, discuss. http://lionsgate.arcostream.net/lionsgate/...ser_300Kbps.wmv Sincerely, ...Downhome...
  11. I'd buy it also if I had $5,000 to blow.
  12. I'm glad I didn't read too many details about this game. I just got to the point where you have to torch a house, and then... ...you meet Denise. I had no idea that you dated people in this game, this is very odd, yet cool. There are just so many different elements to this game, wow.
  13. Honest to God, I have no clue. I've been doing all of my buying just out of what I have in my PayPal account, and it doesn't seem like it ever wants to go down. I'll buy a bunch of stuff and get low on PP funds, then I'll stumble onto a great deal somewhere on a used DVD or something that is very rare and OOP, or just an insanely good price, then I'll put it up on eBay and it'll make up for all that I spent. I've also grown into an eye that can catch misprices and overall insanely good deals. I never buy anything at full price unless I just really want something. The last thing I bought at full price was Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and even then I wouldn't pay $20, I had to search for the cheapest price at a local WalMart and get that for $15, heh. I know this can't last though.
  14. I just bought Akira - The Special Edition (Limited Edition Metal Collector's Case). The picture is not the one I bought.
  15. I'm loving the characters, especially the two cops that you always run into. The voice acting couldn't be better, and the casting is perfect.
  16. I also just found the video game that you can play in CJ's house. Mini-games seem to be everywhere in this GTA.
  17. I was just driving around and came to a bridge but it wouldn't let me go over it. I was turning around, but accidently fell off into the water, and I decided to swim towards where the bridge went. I finally made it to the other side, and as soon as I got on solid ground my rating went up to four, and then it was on. I ran to an apartment building and stayed there for a while killing the cops, then decided to make my getaway with almost no life. I found a car and got in it, went driving over the sand, and eventually made it back to the highway. I had cops on all sides of me, and I was going so fast that everything started to blur. There was a lot of traffic, but I decided to go between two different cars and it was a tight fit, but in my doing so both of the cop cars that were to my left and right rammed into both of the cars that I went between, and I was free again. I made more turns, kept going, and I didn't get killed until I had made it all the way up the right side of the map, and then a little to the left up at the very top. That was just awesome.
  18. If you can't beat that dancing mission on the beach, then you flat out suck at gaming, period. I can't imagine someone not being able to do that. It's cool if you can't do it the first try, the first five times, or whatever. But when you flat out can't do it ever, ugh. You have got to be a moron. I'm about to start the mission Robbing Uncle Sam.
  19. Holy Jesus people are fucking morons. How can you suck so bad that you break down and take a game back because you can't master the gameplay element of pressing four different buttons at the right time.
  20. Ha, a bunch of morons are crying on GameFAQs about the dancing mission and other things like that. A few have said they are actually taking the game back because they can't get the hang of it. I'm loving reading the board over there about this game, it's one hell of a good laugh, especially the "this game is racist" topics.
  21. The drive-by mission is easy, but the mission where you chase Freddy made me want to hurt people. It didn't help that he keeps on taunting you. All I can say is that you either better be good at controlling the motorcycle or you better remember where all the main turns and stuff are as you chase him, as he seems to go the same way each time. I went with the latter, and it wasn' too bad after I remembered it a bit.
  22. To get to the bar where you can play pool and a couple of arcade games, do this. When in that little area where your house is, start down the main road and keep going about a block or so. Right after that bridge that will be on the right, you'll see a bar called "The Green Bottle" on the right also, you can't miss it. The only places I've seen that you can play basketball so far is on the big court (I forget where it is exactly) or you can play on the mini court next to Sweet's house. If you climb on top of his house you can also find a nice surprise.
  23. Have you guys played basketball or pool yet? The basketball is just eh, but pool is pretty darn good. You can place bets in pool and everything and make a lot of money if you don't suck at it.
  24. I had that same problem, I am not sure what the deal is but here is what I did. When you need to respond, instead of just pressing to the right one time, just keep on pressing it over and over and over again. That's the only way I got it to actually let me try to dance. Every other time when I'd just press it once that chick would tell me to dance, then nothing would happen. Weird.
  25. I'm doing the first stealth mission right now, and I'm loving it. This is it, this is THE PS2 game to own.
