  1. The subtitles aren't that great, in that when two people are talking instead of doing this... -What do you mean? -I mean it's my birthday! They do... What do you mean? I mean it's my birthday! At times they don't even use periods or question marks, so it's confusing to start with, but it's quickly easy to understand. It's well worth sitting through, just trust me. Let me know what you think of it when you watch it.
  2. Did you have a problem with the CGI blood like a few others?
  3. I don't want to say too much about either film. I'm just curious if any of you have seen either one of these films. I've been looking for something a bit different to watch, so after a bit of research into some of the best Asian films of the past year or so, I discovered both Zatôichi and Oldboy. I went into both films without any real clue what they were about. All I knew is that at IMDB they had pretty good ratings, and the plot summary. Both films were released in 2003. Zatôichi is from Japan, and Oldboy is from South Korea. After watching Zatôichi I discovered that it is based off of a character that has been around for decades. I know almost nothing about older Asian cinema, so I've obviously never heard of it before. So I can only base my opinion on this new movie. The character is just kick-ass in every way, I was shocked at how much I enjoyed this. If you like Kill Bill and that sort of thing, then I think you'd really enjoy this film. A blind swordsman? How can you not think that's cool? I've heard a few people complain about the use of CGI blood, but it didn't bother me in the least. It looked quite stylish and gave the entire film a great "manga" feel to it. As for Oldboy, wow. From the first scene on that film just owned me. Choi Min-Sik was very impressive in the lead role of Oh Daesu, and everyone else is fine as well. Min-Sik just impressed me so much more than everyone else. I especially loved the fight scene in the hallway, as it reminded me of a side-scrolling video game or something. I know this film will be hard for many people to stomach, in more ways than one, but it really is a great film overall and is especially well made. I'd rather not say too much about the plot of the film, because if you ask me, you should go into it without knowing much about it at all. I hope that we get a R1 release of both of these films on DVD, seeing how the R3 releases, while they have English subtitles on the film itself, do not have any English subtitles on the special features. Anyway, if you've seen either one of these then let me know what you thought. If you haven't seen either one yet, then I highly recommend both of them. I downloaded them both, but if a R1 release ever comes out (or another release in another region...with English subtitles on everything) I'll be there to buy them up. Up next for me to check out is Memories of Murder, I've heard great things about it. Sincerely, ...Downhome...
  4. I believe it was a 3.9. I think that is the same rating for the RAW after SS03 also.
  5. Am I the only guy here would would, if WWE actually offered it, send in my "WWE" era DVDs in exchange for updated ones without all of the blurs? It's not that big of a deal, but if I could exchange them I'd do it in a second.
  6. We get Rush, Savage, Liddy, Boortz, all of these guys here. I've been listening to Boortz more than any of them, as the others are fairly new here (past six months to a year), and I've always liked the guy.
  7. Yeah. I just thought it would be interesting to see RAW be reviewed from the mind of a mentally challenged retard. The only thing worse than a hardcore mark, or a hardcore smark, is a guy who THINKS that he's a hardcore smark.
  8. Just for the shits, here is a "review" of RAW from TheMayhem/NoDQ.
  9. Bah. Okay, I'll bite. How so? Over the course of the show some warmed up to certain things, like HHH and Orton, and by the end people were blowing their load...to the extent that the site died for an hour, heh. Some guys brought the funny who I rarely see do also. Just overall a great ass thread, I enjoyed it.
  10. Some posters seemed to evolve with this thread as well.
  11. Exactly what I said earlier, and I'm glad that someone agrees with me. Amen.
  12. Ladies and gents, it's moments like this which is why I have been, am, and forever will be...a pro wrestling fan. Sit through the shit and eventually, EVENTUALLY, they'll hand out the gold. A classic moment, straight from a classic era, played out on TV to absolute perfection. One of the best turns in history from start to bottom, after a pretty damn good match from Benoit/Orton. Ahhhhhhhhhhh yes. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
  13. It'd be funny to see Evolution come out and help Benoit win, as he joins Evolution and Orton hits the curb. Benoit beat HHH, HHH accepts him, blah blah blah.
  14. I'm going to say this one more time. You know, I wouldn't be surprised if they had Edge get in the way during the main event, and instead of helping Orton win he helps Benoit win the title back. Then post match, when it looks like Edge is going to be with Benoit, he destroys him as Evolution comes out, and Edge, Batista, Flair, and HHH all destroy both Benoit and Orton. Something of a paypack by HHH to Orton, for being the one to defeat Benoit.
  15. I know plenty of people who used the passes. I'm pretty sure you can use these movie cash things anytime.

  17. I can't believe that some of you guys are talking about that shit seriously.
  18. Katie Vick should return next week to break up the angle. Now that would be a classic love triangle. Have her be played by Stevie Richards, or have Matt Hardy walk out with a dummy woman on puppet strings to just confuse Kane. Katie Vick returns next week, just watch. Kane's first love is coming back.
  19. At the wedding next week, they should have some of Kanes relatives standing around holding shotguns, and then have skits of them all going out on the town with Lita.
  20. Mmmmmmmmmm, Molly Holly ass...
  21. I love listening to these two grown men talk so serious about this storyline.
  22. This RAW thread has been a lot more entertaining than the ones lately.
  23. I mean holding hands as Evolution does, as any team does when they win or when they are together, up in the air. Ugh.
  24. Damn them. They should have screamed out SPOILERS~~!!!! before they said that.
