You sure about that? There may be heat from the meeting between Inoki and WWE since then. Porter, you still are making no sense lol

He might debut on the PPV, but it sounds like he has been in TNA before. If's he debuting at the next ppv, how could be ever have been in TNA before?!! The "returning" part is pertaining to him returning FROM his debut. Its like a two shot deal for whoever it will be.
-
I got the issue right here and this is the deal. Whoever this is being planned for is hoping to be debuting for the company at the Destination X ppv in an international four way match to build and then return to the X Cup ppv for May. So its going to be a guy who apparently hasnt been with TNA before. I have my bets on it being Kenta Kobashi possibly, or possibly Mistico. You have to keep in mind the verbage about "biggest stars in the world" and that rings up Kobashi for that. I'm not sure Mistico is THAT over yet to be considered as such. Liger - I doubt it. I know TNA has been trying to get Kobashi for awhile in just one shot deals even, and if the New Japan association is not really strong right now, who knows.

Much thanks - been waiting to see this for a long time now. Any official release date on this yet? I've heard they keep shifting things on it. Hard to believe that show was filmed damn near two years ago.

Hey, I'm totally with you that horror doesnt NEED to have those things but when films are obviously pulling back to get a PG-13 rating (lets say as an example, Alien v. Predator) in hopes they can reach a larger audience, it just pisses me off. I should have clarified. I'd much rather see the original vision, which I would hope would not be some filtered BS as some of these films like Ring, Grudge, Boogeyman, etc, have. On an additional note, most of these asian remakes are not anywhere near decent as is, and adding some gore would at least alleviate some of negativity about the overall feel of the film otherwise. IE - "Well at least there was some intense and gorey blood scenes." I can't help it, but to me horror is much preferred balls to the wall instead of some "horror for all ages" bullshit. Thats not to say all horror has to be R, but its asinine to not admit that a percentage of horror fans demand it as a criteria to their favorite genre. I will say that the original US version of Ring was quite acceptable as a PG-13 film, just because it actually did deliver some decent material there, but since that point it just seems like hollywood has adapted this system of more and more PG-13 fare, but without half of the quality of its seemingly juggernaut with the original Ring.

For what its worth they didnt even have Running Scared playing anywhere near me here (it is only on 1600 screens compared to the others) but if it was, I certainly would have checked that out over the weekend. Seems like good popcorn fare.

To add to other recent Tammy stories, she was on the Women's Extreme Wrestling show not too long ago and most definately was fucked up on something. She had to be carried in and out of the ring by Nick Berg or Berk, whatever his name is (worked for CZW) and was really looking worse for wear. They had her trying to cut a promo and obviously something was up since just as she started talking it went to commercial and when they came back the match was happening and Tammy was on the outside. I was amazed the company actually aired this material since it was so blatantly making Tammy look bad, but maybe thats the point. Seems to be that alot of people in the business have tried to reach out to her by publicly showcasing her demons, and yet she still can't get past them.

Why, oh why, does Hollywood feel the need to do shitty versions of Japanese horror flicks? Can't they just come up with their own original ideas & make a shitty movie about that? What pisses me off more than anything is that the studios seem to make all of them as PG-13 fare. This is not just a knock on the japanese horror remakes but a significant chunk of the hollywood mainstream horror/thrillers in general. If I go to a horror film, I dont want to see some half ass gore or scares. Give me a solid R rating, dammit! For what its worth as well, the japanese Pulse wasnt that bad, I thought. The previews for the american remake is a toss up - there are two definate babes in the film, which is always a plus but I fear this is going to be another PG-13 bad rehash.
-
Pulse has already been moved to July 14 - they just came out with the original version on DVD also.

They're missing the boat on a ready made and so obvious it might actually work storyline there where he is an invading manager trying to interfere on shows and recruit people into a rogue stable rebelling against the company for fucking up their on-air usage, etc. Of course it would be all just heels but think of the dymanic of that in the current WWE in incorporating that into a storyline. Fuck, even if it just led to something moronic like Vince v. Bisch at least they said they actually booked the obvious feud with those two for an actual program and got the most they could out of Bischoff so he actually had a point to be there for as long as he was. Otherwise it was just pure ego and pathetic "thinking inside the box" bravado dictating the finish to his WWE run there. I figured it was a lock Bischoff was going to show up sooner or later here in that role, guess not. Wonder if when he's done in WWE, if he's even going to bother with wrestling anymore?

Regarding someone in the government who is pulling strings, there is going to be alot of new characters still coming into the fold soon, and a few recurring ones from past seasons, including - my guess is that he may be this person they are speculating about. Also, they are doing a 2 hour show in a little over a week, here is some info on some stuff upcoming, possible spoilers for those who dont want to see what upcoming storylines/characters are approaching

All I know is that I fucking hate just about every ingrediant on a Chicago dog seperately but LOVE them all when they are on a dog as a Chicago dog.

Only five networks next year? Think again.
RedJed replied to Placebo Effect's topic in Television & Film
Does WFTC have WB? Right now WFTC is still a UPN affiliate. My assumption was that once the merger happens, they would become WC, but maybe the Minneapolis current WB affiliate will now? Can someone explain to me how they think this channel will actually succeed? -

This sounds like one of the worst TV ideas ever, even making the XFL concept sound great in theory. This is going to fail miserably I fear. Why do another Fox network channel, when, well you already have one?!! Just plain stupid. Whats even more bizzare about this is that unless WFTC in Minneapolis lost its UPN license (which would become WC or whatever the fuck its going to be) recently, then this press release isnt even correct that they will be an affiliate. Which means I hopefully wont even get close to having this channel in the first place. Just the name alone is lame enough for this to bomb. -
The double turn idea is the only way to save this match from being unwatchable if you ask me. This was my first thought about Cena-HHH when it was obvious this was the plan for them to work against each other at Mania. I think it could be borderline entertaining if done right, as crazy as that may sound, but I seem to be in the minority here. Cena is still at some "over" point here where he could and SHOULD be turned. HHH always gets cheers here and there, and seems to want to stay a heel, yet act like a face in most cases (and be booked as one). They might as well at least try the double turn (and treat is as almost deja vu since Austin/Hart was at the same location) and see how it goes. If worse comes to worse you can turn HHH back as a heel post-Mania and Cena can just stay as a heel as well.
-
Certainly much more acceptable of a Mania upper level match than Orton/Angle. As I said before, given the weird booking of Rey/Orton, this HAD to happen from it. Can't believe I'm saying this though but Taker sure have been in it to make it a four way though, after the match he helped put on at NWO. But I still can handle this just fine.
-
Other than the fact that Edge was doing just great as champ and as such he should at least be included in this match in a three way? Well, HHH and Cena are not getting over in their respective roles. Cena is still hearing the boos and HHH gets pops. See the conflict of interest is here, unless they WANT a double turn to happen?

I'll say it again, you're not a fan, you're a company apologist. Like you're trying to get a job for the company or something as PR spokesperson. Fans can still be critical when it's deserved and yet support the product when its deserved. If everyone that was a "WWE fan" loved everything they did from top to bottom, we'd see some hot crowds every fucking day after day.
-
WOW - yet another new low for you. Now you are saying nobody should be critical if they are a fan? So why do you bitch and moan that everyone is biased and too nicey nice to TNA in the TNA folder if apparently just "TNA fans" should only post in there and be strictly positive according to your BS logic? Furthermore, why do you post in there if its apparently just supposed to be for "TNA fans only." Get the fuck outta here - please mods, ban!

Orton was being dumped on long before this Eddy stuff, no doubt about it. While I enjoyed those matches you stated, what else has he done to impress? I think thats everyone's point. He's been VERY hit or miss, and thats even from coming from a person who can tolerate his stuff much more than many around here. Realistically, Smackdown has many more options than doing Angle/Orton, if thats the case that they are actually doing that. They've all been explained here already. Honestly, Orton/Angle is one of the least smart ideas, compared to others such as the proposed triple threats or four way title matches for Mania. Taker/Angle would also be better, as would Rey/Angle. Orton/Angle has no buildup or heat to it other than a really underwhelming segment on the ppv they did that went nowhere.

Pulse, Domino, and Class of 1984 all for me this week.
-
Ummm no, you're the ultimate apologist and delusional mark of "the product." Please leave.
-
Most of us just laugh and ignore him as it's become painfully obvious he's a gimmick. He showed up around the same time people complained the WWE folder was too negative and wasn't enough serious discussion. Whoever it is, they do a bang up job at playing the role. It's like watching Jim Carrey as Andy Kaufman. Oh I ignore it now too but its still just frustrating to still see this shit continue. Some people are still responding to some of DH's BS when if everyone would just ignore and not fill up threads with responses to such, sooner or later it would be a non-factor.

The sad thing is Paul Walker MIGHT have two number one movies in a row with his other one (which actually looks alright) coming out on Friday.
-
Word is that they are waiting til after Mania with that now, since Vince needs to be on Raw to build the HBK match and they figure his role at interim GM would play well into the program or something.
