  1. You're probably right about the finish to Orton/Cena. The next ppv (I believe) is Cyber Sunday and I thought I saw a posting somewhere that Orton/Cena is headlined there with the fans pick the stip, HIAC and a few other options to choose from. That would likely be the blowoff there.
  2. Is it not the stigma he now has in American Wrestling? People give him 'X-Pac' heat cos they think its cool, well, probably not everyone, but seriously the guy needs a break - though he did have sex with Chyna so yeah Sucks, but he's a real target of smark fans. His last TNA run he worked his ass off and put on great matches with Raven, Jerry Lynn and AJ Styles. Now in AAA (Mexico) he's having great matches in an awesome stable I just mentioned above. He really is tearing it up in AAA, been watching that weekly and he's been doing well. I also was one of those who had no issue with his last TNA run. But in the way past, I definately was one of those who couldnt stand him, back in the post-DX days of his WWE run and also on and off in his earlier TNA stuff.
  3. Yeah, got a message from TNA Mobile today stating Monsters Ball and Ultimate X at BFG. The monsters ball match, thats alright since it started at their first monthly ppv way back in 04 or 05, and its kind of been a tradition yearly around this time. The Ultimate X deal though, I dont quite get. Didnt they just have that 3 ppvs ago? For Monster's Ball, I would imagine we get Rhino v. Mesias v. Abyss v. Rikishi perhaps. Who knows. Ultimate X - your guess is as good as mine on who they will throw in there, unless the anticipated Daniels/Lethal match is thrown into the mix there with a few others, such as Dutt, Lo-Ki, etc. I'm all for the women's gauntlet match too - I would bet they create a women's title out of that match.
  4. Well u got your wish - thats the main event. I wish it would be Sting v. Joe v. Angle personally, but it is what it is. So the rest of the undercard, I am assuming.... Joe v. Christian Steiners v. Dudleys Lethal v. Daniels Styles/Tomko v. Team Pacman Women's Gauntlet (perhaps for a women's belt?) Those are moreless comfirmed for the most part...others suggested by myself.... Mesias v. Abyss or Rhyno (would bet they will do an injury angle w/ Abyss or something) Storm v. Harris one last time? Roode v. Kaz again? Black Reign v. Rikishi or Eric Young? Any other ideas?

So they have a condensed and cleaned up replay right now, and indeed this was pretty much a trainwreck of a show. MTV, in the way they produce, try to be too futuristic, unique and high level or something and it comes across like just a clusterfuck.
  6. Finally got a chance to watch this ppv today - it was actually pretty solid. I had five out of the eight matches tagged at at least ***, although nothing hit **** level. Some good stuff here worth checking out for sure.
  7. I dont consider one random Impact match Mesias "feuding" with Sting, per-se. But they're tying in the Abyss/Sting connection there, which is why that match is booked. The spoilers dont sound that all bad, although I'm not nearly as excited about BFG as I should be.
  8. Since it was said "this was expected the last 24 hours" I would assume he showed up intoxicated to Raw last night, or something to that effect. And then when he injures himself in the ring, and if he was on something, I could see them pretty upset with him and letting him go. Complete speculation there though. Either that or the lawsuit he was involved in (which I think is still happening) has gotten to the point where WWE wants to wipe away his hands with him.
  9. Smackdown/ECW roster is going overseas, actually right now. This is really the only good pic from the taping I took.....Taker symbol el fuego....

Wow, the PR from Britney's "performance" is tremendous. Here is front page quote from aol news.... It's Britney,... (Glitch) Spears' Flubbed Lines & Flabby Abs Open VMAs: Watch Disaster Unfold -For what its worth I didnt think she looked THAT bad - what got me was her lack of even giving a shit about being on stage. One of the worst on stage performances I've seen ever.
  11. Masters appears to definately be suspended again here, but with Orton, I really dont know. It's not that he's being singled out really, its just that they suspended him again and he isnt happy about it, apparently.

Jesus christ, and I thought the Miami show was like a fucking acid trip- this is way way WAY more intense/worse/what have you. This is some of the most surreal shit MTV has ever shit out of itself. This is the car crash effect, tenfold. So what exactly was the deal with this show, was this all celebrities/musicians "and friends" at all these places, including the "main stage" which seemed like a mid-sized nightclub turned into an awards show? I didnt get the point of what this was all supposed to be. "Yay, lets show everyone how silly, embarrasing, and fucked up they can be?" Every clip I've seen of this show seems like the presenters/celebrities/etc arent really even clued into what they are supposed to say, its all improv, and everything from top to bottom is off cue and completely spontanious, from the performances (which seem to be cut in and out of as they are going on continously? I dont get it) to just about everything else. Britney looked completely either not wanting to do her stuff at all or at the least, completely uninterested or far from ready to do so. Any sort of stage presence she once had is now completely gone. Just fucking do Penthouse already, might as well. Did she even know the lines to her OWN SONG? Jennifer Garner not knowing the name of the band and yet, apparently upon opening the envelope, one would think it would be on there? And then an immediate cut to a party put on by Fall Out Boy?! One other gem here too I saw - the Pamela Anderson part, which was preceded by Tommy Lee constantly badgering Pam about something as she's trying to talk on top of a table. The Miss SC deal was absolutely hilarious - I have no idea what the fuck she was even trying to get at there. And she was reading from cue cards, I would assume. She fucked that up REAL good - and I dont know if it happened live, but she got completely cut the fuck off in mid-rambleness. I dont think even Ludacris knew he was supposed to accept that award. You would think someone would have clued him into that, and pardon my ignorance but how in the fuck is he associated with Fergie anyway?! Wow, I got to get me a copy of this show in its raw, live, form if possible. Their is no way they will show this "as is" ever again. If they do, its pretty much admitting complete failure on damn near about every level. The only saving grace here was a brief performance of the new Foo Fighters single.
  13. I was at the show - I am just uploading some photos from it, not much well turned out but I'll have a few shots up tomorrow. See Meltz pretty much word for freakin word posted my thoughts on his site, yet I wasnt credited - I did email him the results though so whatever. Its awfully ironic though.
  14. Nobody forced them to take roids. Granted, the train of thought internally is basically if you look good, you will probably be on a higher pecking order than cosmetically less in shape workers, but it still comes down to the person being responsible for their own actions. No matter how bad some of you think the company fucked Booker over from a booking perspective, it doesnt mean we should praise him for "standing up for himself" and leaving, coincidentally after he got suspended again for shit that was his own fault (going to a internet based company that was far from the most private and discreet way to get the shit).

Can someone get me a vid link to some of the more ridiculously bad points of the show? Like Brits lip synching no-sell I've been hearing about? How about the Gym Class Fallout line, and also the whole Ludicrous thing (and if that hasnt anything to do with the no sell of the Best Female Artist shit, I want to see that too). The Miami VMAs seemed like someone was on acid who produced and directed it, the sets and layout was just fucking bizzare, the segments were completely strange, but at least SOME of the performances were ok, I think the Raconteurs had some little live dittys in there, but thats about all I can remember about it. All around though, this sounds like one of the bigger bombs laced with a major line of clusterfuck to boot. With that said, I wouldnt expect MTV to replay it much, or maybe will just run a condensed version of it.
  16. Damn, that is right about Bourne, that film has some of the strongest sustainability I've seen in a good while - it came out in early July, IIRC, and its still in the top 5. Not too shabby, although competition this time of year is few and far between. But still, just as impressive. 310 to Yuma I saw on Sat night, definately highly recommended. The character development in this film is ridiculously great, and it has a tremendous flow and feel to it. One of a very few western-type films I have actually completely enjoyed. The per-screen average for that film is pretty high there. I would expect a more substantial release of it next week possibly. It should get a great amount of word of mouth. Brothers Solomon REALLY bombed badly - wow. Didnt think it looked that bad from the previews, but the star power just isnt there, although it seemed like they put a decent amount of advertising behind it. Bummed about Shoot Em Up, going to see that before it probably leaves by next Friday.
  17. Eh I'm not too torn up about it. If the guy leaves over being suspended a second time, it shows me he really doesnt care about being there anyway.
  18. Just got back from the show at Target Center - pretty underwhelming all around. Will comment more later but here is the cut and dry results.... First off, no hint, suggestion, or even talk at all about the bastard child angle set for tomorrow night on either show.... New PPV matches announced: HHH v. Carlito (or was that already given away?), Deuce/Domino v. Hardy/MVP, Punk v. Burke -Jesse & Festus over ????, two local jobbers likely, never heard of them. -Jimmy Yang over KC James, ok match. ECW - Overall a definate step down from last week and even pretty much a step down from the last month or two of shows: Opens with Estrada coming out and talking about how great CM Punk is, enter Punk who gives a little speech about winning the belt and then starts pimping out his "new t-shirt" and says, if Estrada is such a Punk fan, he should put it on. He begrudedly puts it on, and then announces at the ppv Punk v. Burke. Burke comes out, and also gives Punk a bit of credit, but says it was all because of him (ala New Breed days). Really forulmatic diatribes back and forth finished by Punk knocking him out of the ring. Miz over Tommy Dreamer, short match Backstage segment with Balls giving Kelly a teddy bear and in the background there is a wall mural thats always at Target Center with the word "together" on it. Striker over Nunzio in about 10 seconds, not even needing help from Big Daddy V, who was at ringside. After the match, V lays out Nunzio with various spots. Boogeyman's music plays and he's shown on the big screen, cuts some nursery rhymish promo on Big V, and then its announced next week it will be Boogeyman v. Big Daddy V on ECW TV. Mike Knox is back and defeats Balls when Miz (w/out the chicks) comes out and stands by the entrance to distract Balls. I thought for sure we'd have Kelly run out to help Balls win and stick it to her "ex" but maybe that will be next week or something. Main event - Richards and Punk over Thorn and Burke, Punk pins Thorn with the Go 2 Sleep. Nothing match really, Richards plays the usual role of getting his ass kicked most of the match, hot tag to Punk, etc. Smackdown - overall a mixed bag of boring, mundane and ok stuff, all pretty much forgettable though. Not a very good lead-in to the ppv. Michelle McCool (rides to ring w/ Palumbo on the hog) vs Victoria (w/ Dykstra) goes to a double DQ when the guys start fighting in the ring. Immediately after, its announced as a mixed tag. Palumbo/McCool over Victoria/Dykstra when McCool pins Victoria. Not sure why we had to wait an extra 10 minutes for the same finish they could have done in the women's single match. On a side note, Taker was seen around the night before and today traveling w/ McCool but made no public appearance. Random segments backstage all night of Teddy Long and Kristal's bachelor/bachelorette parties. Highlights (may be an oxymoron statement) are: Butch Reed shows up as a guest to the bachelor party, as does various strippers, Sgt Slaughter, Major Brothers, and probably a few others I'm forgetting. Festus wants to be best man or something. Kristal gets a little teddy lingere outfit from all of the divas (for some reason, Mickie James was here with all of the ECW/Smackdown chicks) and one of them hints to have gotten her a "special toy" that was in an unopened box. The fat oily guy appears at the bachelorette party to dance for Kristal Last segment sees both Kristal and Teddy accidentally locked out of their respective rooms where their parties are, then everyone joins in and "parties" together. Druid in black getup is in the ring, played off like Taker returning, then he rips the cloak off to reveal its Mark Henry. Short forgettable promo about his match w/ Taker, leading to the distorted video screen montage of Taker footage, followed by Taker over the PA talking, stating he's back on Sunday, yadayada, then pyro goes off and the Taker "symbol" is shown by the entrance on fire. Shannon Moore over Jamie Noble, ok match, finish is Moore acting like Hornswaggle is under the ring, Noble bends over by the ropes to check, and gets rolled up. MVP and Hardy are playing chess, Hardy is winning and MVP sneezes and "accidentally" knocks over the pieces. Hardy then tells him he got him booked in a single match with Domino which is happening immediately. Domino over MVP, really bad match made worse by the constant mic work of Hardy trying to get MVP chants by the crowd. Hardy did this, I dunno, at least in three or four seperate times during this match. Crowd chants MVP, directed by Hardy, but then the crowd finishes by "sucks" of course. Hardy tries to help MVP out by knocking Deuce off the apron, MVP gets in Hardy's face for helping him, and MVP gets rolled up. I understand they got to give some credibility to D/D for the ppv match, but putting Domino over the US Champion is pretty bad. Finlay over Kane in some sort of "first time ever" Belfast Brawl, which was basically a no dq/no countout match that was pretty slow and methodic, but ok. Finlay worked over Kane's shoulder the entire match, chair was used a bit on it, etc. Finish was Kane going for the ring steps to use on Finlay, but Finley blocks the move with a shilleleh (sp?) shot to the arm, and then hits his finisher on Kane for the win. Match went a good 10-15 minutes. This probably wont be shown on TV, but as they took a pause after Kane and Finley left ringside, Hornswaggle showed up from (I believe) under the ring and jumped on the announcer table, and then briefly attacked Michael Cole. May have been some sort of rib on Cole, not sure. Main event was Batista over Khali by DQ when Khali refused to let go of the double handed claw when Batista made the ropes. Horrid match made worse by the finish. Khali keeps the hold on Batista well after the bell rings, tons of refs run out, Khali breaks it finally and thats the show. After the cameras cut off, it was an endless sell job by Batista of a good 10 minutes in the ring being attended to. And that was it. No Rey Mysterio at all here tonight even though he was advertised in being in a dark main event of Batista/Rey v. Khali/MVP weeks ago. Lots of people seemed dissapointed in no Rey, especially the kiddies. Lots of people were hoping for Flair, but nothing. May have missed something here and there but for the most part, that was the entire show. Majorly boring to see live.
  19. So I couldnt sleep and popped in the Raw show this year with the draft and the McMahon death angle and got to Benoit-Lashley from that show. The match itself was hard to watch, seeing 1) all of the head bumps Benoit was taking without protection and 2) obvious reasons, same as why I can hardly watch any Benoit match now. But what really got me was after the match, when Benoit gets drafted to ECW. Immediately the music hits -"Let the bodies hit the floor" and although completely unintentional, they then show Benoit with a shit grin on his face. Freaked me the fuck out!
  20. That's funny, I thought it was because RVD got busted with pot and had to give up two titles in consecutive days. That's why RVD dropped the belt, but Edge got the nod to be put in the title program because he drew ratings during his short-term title reign earlier in the year. He actually was penciled to win the title back regardless of the RVD incident, but it was just sooner when that happened. IIRC they were supposed to have that triple threat match at the SNME show in July/August of last year.
  21. It was an ok five minute match, but cmon - the best match on RAW all year?! Michaels-Cena marathon match beats that easily, and I dont know if THATS even the best RAW match of the year, but that beats it by a mile.
  22. That Larry King segment with Benoit's dad and the doctors was actually pretty interesting. While I dont think it completely proves that concussions made him go crazy, it certainly could have played a part, more than the roid rage theory at least. I think, ultimately, you're talking about a mixture of things that led to Benoit's demise, including drug abuse.
  23. Yeah, Edge may have lost the belt back to Cena relatively quick, but he rebounded back later in 06, and even got the belt back, DUE to the fact that they saw he was drawing interest, becoming a star, etc, etc. And yeah, Morrison was bringing it just as much as Punk in their match. Ultimately both of them really busted ass more than they have before in their prior bouts, so its kind of a tit for tat thing as far as who was better than another, really.
  24. Back to the subject of Jarrett/Raven, come fucking on. Jarrett was the fucking superman of all supermen in that match, constantly kicking out of this, that, and another thing. Lets not split heirs here. It was ludicrous to say the least. While a guy like, say, Goldberg or some other "big man" could possibly get away with doing these things, it was fucking Jeff Jarrett. Plus on top of it, the shift of things regarding Raven/Jarrett was that Raven was more and more getting face reactions and Jarrett was getting, well the opposite. Then they acted like that fact was a non-issue in the match and it made it that much more annoying.
  25. Wrong thread, indeed. But its NOT BS - it was in this weeks Observer, and yes, Kennedy has been doing the occasional interview here and there, still. Back on topic here, speaking of public idiocy, VERY glad TNA got rid of Test since his stance on steroids PUBLICLY, after failing the "wellness policy" is basically that he doesnt see the big deal with roids, its a personal decision that shouldnt roll into the business. If TNA would keep him employed, that would surely come to bite them back in the ass.
