The Conservatives in Canada are closer to the Democrats than the Republicans. If the Conservatives had ran on a Republican Party platform they would have gotten killed.

I don't see how Pitsburgh and Philly are really rivals in the NFL unless you are actually from one of the two cities. I mean, I'm a fan of the Dallas Cowboys but I couldn't care less about the Houston Texans, and I'd definitely root for them if they were in the Super Bowl (hah!) against a team like the Iggles or the Deadskins. On the other hand I've talked to other Cowboys fans who hate the Texans because they are also from Texas and they beat Dallas in the first-ever game between those teams.

Staal has been good but Carolina's success has as much to do with their team depth and some other players who are having great seasons but arn't at the top of the stats sheets (specifically Brind'Amour and Gerber).

If the Seahawks stopped chasing because a flag was thrown, then they deserve to have that go against them. You never know exactly what a flag is for, or if there will be more than one to offset the original. Play hard until the whistle is blown, not just until the yellow comes flying out.

I'm going to be camping during the Super Bowl so I don't really care who plays. I'm glad that no teams I really care about are playing.

I've never been a fan of women's wrestling but lately the diva matches on RAW have been passable and the storylines have been more coherant than many of those for the male wrestlers. The whole Victoria's stable vs. Trish/Mickie/Ashley with Ashley unable to trust Mickie thing is cliched but it does work. Also, Maria >>>>>>>>>>> everything else on RAW.

Is it actually on? My cable listings show a bunch of random garbage on ESPN and ESPN 2 (bowling, Matchup of the Millenium, and so on). If that's 12:30 am pacific and it's on for sure, then yeah I'm watching it (I've always had a thing for Martina Hingis). Oh, and Richard Gasquet got upset in the first round, which just makes Federer's road to the title that much easier. Aside from Nalbandian, is there even anyone left in the tournament who has ever beaten him? He will dust off Leyton if they meet up again, as usual.

Why do people keep keep acting like USC is some thuggish, arrogant school with a bunch of cocky athletes? You act like they are the Miami Hurricanes or something. I can't ever recall a USC player talking trash about an opponent or disrespecting an opponent or their fans by flipping them off or doing ridiculous TD dances. They get a really bad rep for no reason. Yes, Leinart acted bitchy tonight, but he just lost the biggest game of his career and immedietly got 100 cameras shoved in his face. It's hard to say how you should react to that. He's a very humble guy, he was just pissed. I can understand that. It's the reputation of the student body as a whole passing down onto the football team.
