  1. Is it wrong of me to wish that John Ashcroft would just go fuck off and die somewhere?
  2. So basically this is just a typical fundraising/campaigning group, only they are capitalizing off of the recall hysteria to get more attention than they would normally? Move along folks, nothing to see here.
  3. So if the popularity of "gay" TV shows implies that being gay is a "new trend", does that mean being a cheap whore is also a new trend based on the popularity of these cheap dating/relationship/marriage/love shows?
  4. Goldberg. The Invasion at least made some good money (Invasion had the best non-WM non-RR buyrate ever IIRC, SummerSlam did a good number, and I'm pretty sure Survivor Series did as well), and produced some great wrestling (Austin vs. Angle mainly, plus some other good stuff like RVD vs. Jericho). Goldberg has provided neither (not that he was expected to provide the second one mind you).
  5. Latest on this from cnn.com: Once again: hook, line, and sinker. Fox has given Franken exactly what he wanted: more sales, more publicity, and more opportunities to slam them in a public forum.
  6. Linda sucked, her useless "acting skills" completely no-sold Bischoff's slimy creepiness.
  7. The way Bischoff said "I want to pleasure you" was the creepiest thing I've heard in a while.
  8. Could be that Rob is just working the smarks and everyone in the WWE is in on this sort of thing.
  9. A good compromise solution, basically the one I agree with doing.
  10. As opposed to conservative "celebrities" like O'Reilly and Limbaugh? Franken is no more or less credible than most of the blowhard self-appointed "experts" you see doing political commentary these days. The fact that you actually take him seriously just shows he's getting the desired response from one part of his target audience.
  11. Talk about falling for the bait. This kind of suit is probably exactly what Franken wants to promote his book and get in even more shots in the process.
  12. Anyone else think the main star looks like a young Russell Crowe?
  13. Two of the all-time great spoofs.
  14. If any greatest hits album should be considered essential, it's Eagles - Greatest Hits '71 - '75.
  15. Vince sort of got the last laugh though, when he "fired" Jarrett on RAW after buying WCW.
  16. Simple question: where's it at? BTW, the question is asking who you think will win, not who you want to win. I'm going with Ah-nuld.
  17. Chyna turning on HHH and joining the Corporation to screw HHH over in the I Quit match with the Rock.
  18. Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti The best Zeppelin album, this one also ranges across practically every style that Zeppelin used: blues rock, eastern music, soft instrumentals, southern rock, you name it. No Zeppelin album is more representative of the band and their musical contributions.
  19. At the last Vancouver show: nice guys: Orton (signed lots of autographs, and posed on top of his car for pictures) Maven (also signed for everyone) Lawler (posed for pictures with some people in the front row) Snow (signed autographs and bantered with the fans) No one was really prickish, a lot of guys simply got in their cars and left immediately. I also didn't get to see everyone, I'm pretty sure some other guys like Rico signed autographs early on.
  20. The more I think about it, the more HHH winning sounds like the worst possible thing they could do. If HHH wins then you have basically put him over the top 5 RAW title contenders in one match. HHH is already well established as champ and has beaten 3 of these guys definitively in title matches in the past. This isn't like Angle winning the HIAC at Armageddon, where he was a brand new champ and his win went towards elevating himself because he outlasted all the established contenders for the title. We already know that HHH can hang with all of these guys, him going over proves nothing.
  21. There's a difference between "long" and "mind-numbing".
  22. I would do this: 1. Orton eliminates Nash and Michaels to further his "legend killer" gimmick. 2. Goldberg eliminates HHH. 3. Goldberg eliminates Orton. 4. HHH and Orton return to interfere in the match and screw Goldberg. 5. Jericho eliminates Goldberg to win the title. This accomplishes the following: 1. Puts the title on Jericho. I would make Jericho's first defense a win over Nash in a title & hair vs. hair match. 2. Builds up Orton for a singles feud with Michaels. 3. Furthers the Goldberg vs. HHH/Evolution feud, which can be blown off at a later date, probably after Goldberg takes the title from Jericho (you know it will happen).
  23. HBK, I guess. I figured he would be feuding with Orton, plus Jericho and Michaels have already had 2 reasonably definitive matches.
  24. The only question is who does Jericho feud with for the belt? Possibilities could be Nash and Goldberg, depending on what HHH is doing. Or maybe they will take another run at the possible Jericho/Steiner feud that was teased when Steiner first showed up?
