  1. I too would recommend Texhnolyze and Lain (Gotta love the Juno Reactor intro to Texhnolyze). Both are slow series, but they really are worth the effort to watch. Couldn't get into Paranoia agent. For some good 'ol fantasy action the second Vampire Hunter D movie (Bloodlust) is much better IMO than the original. Done in a very similar style to Ninja Scroll. Speaking of, avoid the Ninja Scroll Tv Series at all costs. Unless you just like seeing hilariously awful character designs. Which is really weird, seeing as its done by the same guy who did the designs for Bloddlust and the Ninja Scroll movie. And Berzerk is a terribly violent, and terribly good manga.
  2. I hate Everclear with a firy passion. I think they're just a terrible, awful, no-good band. They came to my university for a free show. Pretty much no one went. One of my friends did, said like the first 4 rows were filled, and the band was clearly pissed off. Good, beause they suck.

  4. Hilary Was really attractive until she got those veneers put in. Those massive choppers just ruined the shape of her face.
  5. Sleater-Kinney's from Olympia, officially. Janet Weiss (the drummer for both bands) Is from Portland. Either way, Sleater-Kinney and Quasi both kick ass. Except S-K broke up. I saw one of their last shows, and Quasi opened for S-K. Pretty amazing, she must have drummed for 3 straight hours. You really should, they're one of my favorite bands in the world.
  6. Veronica Mars, The Office, Football, and the ocassional Conana and My Name is Earl. I really miss Arrested Development. I don't believe I've watched a single thing on Fox since they cancelled it. Fuck FOX.
  7. That's the only time the real 'serial killer' aspect of Stone Cold's character was displayed. Of course Steve studied serial killers to come up with the character. A couple years later, he was hitting Vince Mcmahon with bedpans.

Rock this year has been terrible.
  9. Delayed by a month? Boy they really fucked the dog on this one.
  10. This has to be leading up to some kind of JLI reunion... Right? Right?
  11. Dis the product all you like. But throwing around terms like 'elitist' and 'ROHbots' to discredit a product is silly.
  12. Huh, I just heard a reggae cover of "Paranoid Android" from an album called "Radiodread." It was much better than you'd expect.
  13. I actually like it, as it's more like she caught Kandori completely off-guard. Plus it gives the crowd a little something to pop for before Hokuto's destruction begins. Oh, and of course the finish to Fujinami Maeda. If you haven't seen it, it's a tremendous match, Maeda being dominant for the majority of it. Then Maeda just smacks Fujinami with a kick in the corner, busting Fujinami open hardway, and he's just bleeding all over the place. So they improvise a double spin-kick finish, with a double KO. It looks just OK, and really doesn't make sense, as Maeda's been dominating Fujinami, and has clearly just knocked him for a fucking loop. Of course, it's a great ending for having to come up with it on the fly, and the visual of Fujinami bleeding like crazy from a hard kick is pretty stunning, but I wish we could have seen the Fujinami comeback, and the finish as it was intended (anyone know what that would have been?) since the match was just stunning up to that point.
  14. If they were throwing shit on wrestlers and fans, then, yes, they deserved all the shit they got.
  15. UK crowds are notoriously fickle, WP. You clearly just dislike ROH, which is perfectly fine. Calling every ROH fan a ROHbot is just stupid, though.
  16. With Powerade I like Jagged Ice, the really dark blue flavor.
  17. I too have to say Savage/Warrior. Savage/Steamboa's allure has always slightly escaped me. Really good match? Sure. I think part of it is I didn't watch wrestling at the time, so seeing the match without the buildup hurts. Plus it was overhyped before I saw it, and I always thought the ending was a bit of a schmozz. The two ladder matches are really tough. #1's a sentimental favorite, #2's probably slightly better, as they built on the first match for some extra depth. Eddie/Rey by a mile. Bret/Davey Boy is a great carry job, with an awesome crowd, but I gotta still go with Austin/Bret. Both guys were just rarin' to go, the crowd was very hot, and their styles, disparate as they were, complimented one another quite nicely. The awesome double-turn is the icing on the cake. I never saw Angle/Austin, so I can't judge.
  18. My friends and I played the shit out of the Guilty Gear series. One of the most often fights we had was Chipp (me) v Potemkin. It's an insanely fun match, with Chipp flying around the screen like a spaz and doing huge comboes, then he gets caught in one Potemkin Buster, boom. Half of his life gone! Also, for some reason, though I was only average at the game, I ruled with Faust. I think it's because I got into the spirit of the character and just played as randomly as possible. swimming, growing flowers out of my head, just being a general goof. I love that character.
  19. Trigun is an excellent series. It takes a little while to pick up (ONce the Gung Ho guns show up it really intensifies) It has, along with Tylor, probably my favorite climax in an anime series. Sort of odd, seeing as Tylor and Vash are very similar characters. Anyone else read Blade of the Immortal? It has maybe my favorite art in a manga, and it's very brutal and intense. Check it out in image search, the arts very nice, with a sketchy, rough look in general. All hand-drawn backgrounds too, none of that cut and paste stuff. fight scenes are beautiful, and you can actually tell what's going on! You seem to get a lot per volume in terms of content as well. Just read Blood of a Thousand (Volume 1) there's a ton of story there. Plus one of the sickest villains ever. There's a lot of incredibly sick villains in BotI.
  20. The margaritue is also really good: chewy crust, olive oil, no sauce, mozarella, fresh tomato and basil.
  21. I love Propel, but the Propel with calcium is disgusting. It makes it sorta... chalky? Rain's just another brand of gatorade, same caloric content, the lime is indeed very good, they still sell it up here.

  23. If you think Orton has more charisma than Bryan Danielson, you're confusing 'look' with 'charisma'. I know you're into weight lifting and all that, and that Orton's buff, but he has zero charisma. All he does is smirk. What a well-rounded character. His promos pretty much suck, too. Part of this is probably due to the WWE's writers. He was a terrible face, too. Danielson is a fairly goofy-looking guy, but he's a hell of a wrestler, and has tons of in-ring charisma. He's very comparable to Benoit, who was held back for years because they didn't think he had the look or the mic skills, yet he didn't need to talk, because he had tons of in-ring charisma.
  24. I liked the Japanese 'Pulse'. Not really scary... more sad.
  25. Sarcasm is often difficult to detect in written word. You must know that by now. Snickers? Douche.
