  1. I can say that I like this version of the office just as much as the original, though I've only seen the first 6 epis of the UK show.
  2. I don't mind bladejobs, but I'll say that Misawa bleeding out of his ear after some vicious Kawada kicks made me cringe as much as the infamous Muta bladejob. People DO bleed easily from their foreheads, though. Foley talk in his 1st book about busting people hardway on purpose by punching down on the forehead with one knuckle extended. And Maeda gave Fujinami a spin kick that hardway busted him open as bad as any bladejob I've ever seen.
  3. "Wish You Were Here" is probably a pretty good one. Not the shitty Incubus song. I want "The Most Exalted Potentate of Love" to be played at my funeral. Tom Waits' "Misery is the River of the World" would be good for a larf.
  4. AcuVue to the rescue! I started watching this season after missing seasons 3&4. It's funny, that after all this time every episode ends with Lana showing up to make a speech ending with whispering "I guess we all have our secrets" and flouncing off. What a bitch. Why does everyone on the show love her? And while Chloe may have worn thin for the regulars, at least Alison Mack is a much better actress than Kristen Kreuk.
  5. God, I'm going to miss the show if this is it.
  6. ^That game's boss. Some of the puzzles are ridiculous without a walkthrough, though. (The ice puzzle in particular, by which I mean actual h2o ice, not ICE)
  7. He was the one who tried to get the baby's ears pierced.
  8. I Have! You could run crazy fast in that game. My friend was actually the one who was obsessed with it. It was fun, but goddamn confusing.
  9. ....Wile E. Coyote doesn't make any noise.
  10. Ecotopia. Not bad.
  11. Warsong aka Langrisser I for the Genesis. A strategy RPG that is easily as complex, and IMO quite a bit better than Shining Force or Fire Emblem. This game was hard as hell, missions often took an hour. If you lost a character, they were gone FOREVER, and you didn't have backups like in most games. I ALMOST beat the game without losing a character. Stupid, weak, Lance. Jumping Flash A very early PS game, a combination FPS and 3D platformer, it was one of the first games to give me an impressive sense of a huge, wide open arena. Vibrant simple graphics, it still plays OK. Suikoden II and Valkyrie Profile It's pretty hard to call any RPG released stateside unknown, but while the merits of these games are well-documented, most have never played them because of their scarcity. That's a shame, since they easily rank in my top 10 RPGs of all time. I hear Suikoden II is now fetching upwards of $100. Ugh. Bangai-O! For the DC, an excellent shooter by Treasure. The controls are simple, it's like a side-scrolling Smash TV, with a sense of a gravity well. You have two weapons ('pilots') that you can switch on the fly, reflecting lasers and homing missiles. The number of bullets onscreen is insane, and it's when things seem lost, that you're most dangerous. You have a special attack (which you'll be using very often) that works as follows, the greater the number and proximity of enemy bullets after you, the greater the number of missiles/lasers you shoot.
  12. The music is great in that game. Ride of the Valkyries, and In the Hall of the Mountain King. I'll post some in a bit.
  13. You mean the moustache that actually links to the sideburns without ever becoming a beard? Those are the worst facial hairstyle ever.
  14. Neither do I. So much of his stuff is wild conjecture. It's why he never EVER has anyone who can debate him (even disagreeing callers) on the show. He very cleverly found a niche that was totally unexplored, and filled it with gusto. Come on, he wasn't even registered to vote until he was like in his mid-30's. Dude can't care about politics that much. Although he did to go put a bone in their nose early on in his career.
  15. Yeah, that issue was incredibly underwhelming. If he wrote it, he's doubly to blame.
  16. Arizona's the white trash capitol of America. Phoenix is the most miserable city I've ever been to. On the plus side, Arizona and New Mexico are beuatiful if you're not in a city.
  17. Whatever you do, no SR. prom songs like "Good Riddance" or "End of the Road." Even if you're trying to be ironic.
  18. Victor fits the bill, too.
  19. Or Alexander, which was widely reviled.
  20. That's probably because it's the youngest area of the country. It certainly doesn't have the history of Chicago, NO, NY. We have tons of Asian food. Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese in particular, though here's plenty of Korean and Chinese restaurants. Many of these are quality. Plenty of all types of fresh seafood. About the only thing we don't have is lobster. Between Washington and Cali, cheap, excellent fruit. Taqueria stands/restaurants are starting to explode. We don't really have a local 'cuisine' though. We basically have everything from everywhere else, much like the rest of the west coast, I'd imagine, but with a heavy emphasis on Asian foods, since there's many, many Asian immigrant families here. We have our own Chinatown. We even have a Chicago-style hot dog place near me. I might have to check it out.
  21. Whatever. Sapporo is the best beer on the planet.
  22. I hope the following dialogue is in Brokeback Mountain: -Dude! Show me your weenis! -Look at my hard dick, isn't it rad? -Dude, I'm so fuckin' horny! -Well then SUCK that shit!
  23. Bubb Rubb and Ric Flair need to cut an album.
  24. Oh, I will say that I like Michael Medved's show quite a bit. I disagree with him on a LOT of things, but he explains his reasoning well, and actually lets disagreeing callers through the phone lines. Hell, he had Dan Savage on his show.
  25. The thing is, the Hawks should have been at least up by 9 after their first 3 possesions, the Steelers weren't stopping them, they were fucking up. If they were up 9, they would have had momentum going into the second half. That's all on the Seahawks and Holgrem, though.
