Bareback Mountin' hasn't. Now it has. I haven't seen it yet. My friend has, and though he say he had to look away during the pup tent scene, he liked it. He said it was well acted, had a good story, and he said it was by far the most visually beautiful movie he'd ever seen.

I actually really like Wallace & Gromit, and have since The Wrong Trousers came out. It's just, I really think that Miyazaki movies are generally better than any other animated movies. Pixar's best are right up there too. Oh, and 'Castle in the Sky' was really underwhelming.

IMO, old people are the only people that get a pass on this. Who can begrudge them for wanting to go out once a week to somewhere decent? That $1 tip is probably a lot for them too. I can understand not tipping if the server is just rude, but otherwise? Set your fine dining cap at Arby's and fuck off. Even tipping a buck on $15 shows that you give a shit. While it may be bad waiters who complain about tips, it's bad people who complain about tipping people a buck. For the record? I don't work in food service. Never have. One thing I don't like is bartenders thinking they deserve a buck every time they poor a fucking beer.

I will day I'll be rooting for Catherine Keener. I haven't seen Capoe yet (really need to), but she's probably my favorite actress.

Wow, Match Point got fucked up. Damn shame. You know what? This hasn't been a great year for movies. Sith and Sin City should have gotten visual effect noms. And I'm sure that Miyazaki is going to lose to Wallace and Gromit, and that's just going to piss me off.

I heard recently that Hiroaki Samura won the Eisner award a while ago. That's awesome. Really, I'm notminating him for a reason. I would recommend buying the first volume of Blade of the Immortal for the incredible artwork, but the series looks to be going very long. His artwork just gets better, though. I agree that Lee is overrated. Not bad, but overrated. I really like Bagley, too. Great action poses and facial expressions. Draws the best Venom by far.

That sounds delicious. What kind of mustard, though? I'm not particularly fond of that French's bright yellow shit. Me personally: Dill relish, light ketchup, polish mustard, a shit-ton of onions. I'm going to have to try it with tomato slices now, though.

Eggs in Tuna salad is pretty common. I mean Mayo is just liquified eggs, basically. Salt on fruit I've done, they do that in Louisiana as well. It's not terrible, but I prefer it without. Salt on dill pickles? Are dill pickles not fucking salty enough for you? One has like 300% of your RDA of sodium. Mayo and fruit is perverted, as is cheese with anything sweet. My only personal quirk (not local) is making my food as spicy as possible. I load up pho with srirachi until it's bright red and opaque. Thais food is always ordered at 6 stars on a scale of 5. Habanero sauce must be mixed into salsa prior to consumption.

I just saw Galaxy Quest about a week ago for the first time. Really fun movie.

I forgot to honorably mention Geof Darrow, solely for Hard Boiled, which probably has the best comics art I've ever seen. Too bad it took him 3 years to complete it, because the art's so incredibly detailed.

Reviving a dumb thread. Venom v Bane.

Ny vote is Hiroaki Samura. Blade of the Immortal is a very good comic book, but it's his sketchy artwork that makes it a keeper. Just incredible detail in the death scenes, great facial expressions, just a master. Definitely makes the book. Others would be Alex Ross, Mike Allred (personal favorite) Whoever did the art for Preacher (Steve Dillon I think?) Definitely grew on me. And whoever drew Miracleman 15. And Masamune Shirow.

Well, the Iraqi election I would call a success. And while it may not be a policy thing, he WILL manage to change the makeup of the supreme court. I think the congrssional elections will go well for the conservatives. Hopefully, come 2008 we'll have a conservative legislature, a liberal prez, and a somewhat liberal Judiciary, but restrained. That could be ideal. Of course who knows whats going to happen in the Middle East between here and there.
