I use to have them all, but they got sold in a garage sale a few years back Me and my brother used to have gigantic checkers matches with them on the kitchen tile floor when we were kids. -

I'm putting Fedor there because he not only defeated Cro Cop, he dominated him in the most anticipated match in MMA history. I think he deserves it for that alone. -
So, uh, Kotz? Gettin' a little nervous about headin' to Tuscaloosa now?

Dude, Fedor has to be fighter of the year every year until he loses. Unless he pulls a Frank Shamrock and retires or some shit. -
Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story
AboveAverage484 replied to Dr. Tyler; Captain America's topic in Television & Film
You know....maybe its just me. But bleeps are funnier than curse words. I was watching Arrested Development and realized that if they were on cable and could actually say the curse words, it would be alot less funny. Same for family guy. That time Stewie said "I don't have to *BLEEP*ing impress you" and walked off, it was hilarious. Him saying fuck in the family guy movie...not so much. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's how I feel about South Park, too. -
I've been digging some Hüsker Dü lately, especially their pop oriented songs. Listening to them reminds me of how influential they were on the alternative scene. The Grunge movement, Sonic Youth, Weezer; they were all influenced by this still relatively unknown band. Any other fans?

Fighter of the Year: Fedor, with Shogun a close second, followed by Gomi, then Liddell. Fight of the Year: Probably Gomi/Kawajiri. Can't forget about Bonnar/Griffin, though, but the former's intensity in a big arena setting puts it over the top. Fedor/Cro Cop and Shogun/Lil' Nog were great fights too. I really liked Ortiz/Belfort too, though it did have a slow round, IIRC. -
Prothro's injury was the worst thing that could happen to Bama outside of another Croyle injury. At least Bama's run game is still strong, but Prothro's big play ability was crucial to the team's success.
-
Oh fuck, Prothro just pulled a Theismann, that's a broken leg, fuck. That is NOT good for Bama, not good at all.

I'm loving what I'm seeing in the Alabama/Florida game.

Anyone interested in a TSM Online Poker Tourney?

Here's an update so far: Who is "in" for the first game: 1. me 2. Dr. Tyler 3. El Luchadore Magnifico 4. bravesfan 5. LaParka Marka 6. Porter 7. CanadianGuitarist 8. CanadianChris 9. Brian 10. Danville Wrestling Waiting list: 1. Cuban Linx 2. Arkham Globe 3. Sledgehammer 4. Youth N Asia Basically how the waiting list works is the top 6 from the first week will play the next week with the 4 on the waiting list. I'll then rotate it every week, maybe even keep a little points system going or something. Like I said, I have a ton of work this week, but I promise to get back with everyone who replied with details sometime next week. -

"even Poker if we are feeling adventurous." That's why. I'm REALLY busy this weekend with school work, but next week I will get back to everybody either through posting in this thread or through PM's, so be patient. Thanks -
What I don't get is the Eagles charging almost 100 dollars for their tix when all they do is sit on chairs the whole time and not do anything.

Actually I think Ryan's in jail isn't he? He took his dodging of Nakamura to the extreme.

Sorry for you guys that already signed up at PP, but I just looked at their private tables and they are all real money. If anyone knows anything about play money private tables there, let me know. If not, I'm pretty damn sure Pokerroom.com has play money private tables. I'm gonna check after I get out of class. -

One more question for everybody? Should we do it with play money or real? I say play for now, because I really can't afford to do real right now, but whatever y'all feel like. If some of you guys have to join the site it would be easier to just do play. -

I hate it too, but if we are playing on private tables will it really matter? I'm currently using it because it was more conveniant for me at the time than the other places. C'mon CC That's six so far, seven if Canadian Chris is in. -

Let me get ten people then we'll decide on when and where. I'm currently with Party Poker. We could make a private table there and make it a monthly thing. Wasn't Frigid Soul/Failed Mascot into poker? He's banned though, isn't he? -
Just throwing this out there. If I get enough responses, I might get something together. Of course, we will have to sort out which site, etc. First nine to respond can be the first entrants, then I'll formulate a waiting list, standings, etc. Maybe someone can even design us a swank banner.

Edwards far from "dominated" Hansen on the ground. That fight was fucking hard to judge. Hansen controlled the action on the ground and was pretty active. Yves had the better standup, but it seemed like most of his strikes looked great, but on the one replay Hansen blocks all 4 or 5 of the punches as well as the highkick. I think the German was the deciding factor in the outcome. Bring back extra rounds !!!!

He died earlier that year and they replayed that segment with him from an earlier WM to commemorate him. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> oh ok, I didnt rememebr that as I havent watched wm 17 in a long time. And Jesse wont be edited out as we have discussed that issue many times before. anything already relased by wwf/e on video is fair game, its his wcw work that has to be edited. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jesse was edited out of the JYD-Savage match on the 80s dvd. That was on a previously released video.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I didnt even notice that and I have that dvd lol anyhow if you look at the listings on the first page of this thread, it shows at wm 2 jesse interviews hogan, jesse introducing the la portion of the show, and at wm 4 and 5 jesse being introd to the crowd (and he did some posing as well) so I assume no commentary editing will be done on this. well jsut have to deal with gettign the F out and blur-a-mania in the later years <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They can use Jesse for entire shows, but if there is just one match they can't use him without paying royalties, and since Vince is a cheapo, we get no Jesse commentary on stuff like Savage/JYD and Cactus/Sting from Foley's DVD. At least the commentary for WM III won't be touched. Jesse's commentary in Hogan/Andre reminds me of why he's the greatest color commentator in history.
