Actually, the ROTK cut..before editing..was 6 hours. @_@ I'd buy it. TTT's EE was much better than the theatrical release. A lot of the scenes they put back in were pretty vital, and helped flesh out the movie a bit more.

I didn't think the first was all that revolutionary, myself.. Valve just got lucky. If not for stuff like CS, the Half-Life series wouldn't be as big as it is.

I can't believe some of you are actually defending the terrorists. Really. I don't step into the wasteland of CE often, but here are my thoughts on the situation: That Marine did nothing wrong. Put yourself into his situation, why don't you? Your enemy had been shooting at you from a mosque..something that goes against the rules of "civilized war". You go in, and he's laying there on the floor..he may or may not be dead. How many hundreds of our guys have been killed by lunatics willing to take one of us with them? I'd have shot him, too. Better to be safe..and alive..than 'play be the rules', and get an arm or a leg blown off, or get yourself or your buddies killed. All the media using this to play to their own agendas disgusts me. They've been beheading civillians..people there to -help- Iraq. They're stringing our people's charred bodies up and parading. The media basically fucking ignores it, yet makes a spectacle of this. I guarantee you if those roles were reversed, you'd hear a lot more of an uproar about it..

I've heard some fairly nasty rumors (especially that even more channels will go Spanish) but we'll see about that. Honestly, I don't like listening to CD's. Hearing one artist consecutively gets on my nerves after a while, and occasionally just liked to hear what was on the radio. *shrugs* (Insert a whole diatribe of CD's being overpriced and music sucking, and bitching about the RIAA here)

The real question is..just how many DVD releases can they milk out of this franchise?

Oh, right. I'm sure those of us who actually LIKE the Xbox outnumber the drooling anti-Xbox-for-no-reason sheep by like ten to one, eh? More often the case is..you can't find anyone who says anything good about it. No, the worst thing that happened to game review integrity was publications and websites being paid off to rate a particular publisher's games well. (EA, I'm looking at you..)

So the violence isn't bad..but the swearing is? Okay.. Gotta love inconsistent parents. These are likely the same people that buy their kids the latest GTA game without so much as looking at it..and then try to sue later because it's "indecent.."

The ending is actually very neat if you've played and invested time in the story of Bungie's Marathon, a nice plot-heavy thinking man's shooter that almost nobody played because all anyone cared about was Doom II and it was primarily a Mac game, making it's audience smaller. Anyway, in Marathon AI's tend to have a problem whereupon they take in too much information from being in such large networks and go crazy. Not just a little crazy, but super duper batshit "I know how the universe will end and I'm going to get out of here before it does" insane. I need to find that game, then. I've heard of it..but never been able to get a copy. Halo novel spoilers: There are two different types of AI. "Dumb" AI, which are just a set of processes, and the "Smart" AI, like Cortana. The smart AI are only capable of living a few years (seven, I think), because they're much, much more capable. Cortana is likely the best they've produced. Cortana has asorbed both Forerunner knowledge (Halo), and Covenant knowledge .(From the ship Ascendant Justice, which they captured between Halo 1 and 2, and helped get them back to earth) I don't think Cortana's insane..but who knows what all that knowledge has done?

At least have something similar to LOW, where it's got hometowns, and a bunch of names.. I don't think it's too much to have the entire active roster, either..not with disc space nowadays.

Bungie actually explained it: No, those textures popping in are part of the small price you pay for no loading times. Since they use the game-engine, we are loading geometry and textures from all over the game, different levels, scenarios and creatures, as well as dialog and music. We could have made it into video, and streamed it from the disk, but then there would have been loading times. We felt this was much better for the gameplay experience. I can definately stand a few glitches here and there if it means no loadtimes. My thoughts on the ending: Am I the only one who actually LIKED it? The game revolves around the fate of the universe..and they didn't want to blow up another ship to destroy the ring. (Cortana said she could, but that would have been too similar to Halo) If it means waiting for a third Halo to see the end to it, I don't mind. The Campaign has been an awesome experience, and the gameplay's only kept improving since the first. Now to start on MP..

That's a good reason why gaming sites/mags/etc shouldn't ever be trusted. Also, for the most part..the people doing the reviews aren't too bright. (My particular favorite example was Gamespot letting a guy review Steel Battalion..who hated mecha games. Go figure. Another favorite was lots of people calling Splinter Cell "too hard". Whiny bitches.) The only publication's scoring system I like (not the reviews necessarily, but the system) has to be Official Xbox Magazine''s. They've never given anything a perfect ten, unlike a lot of other magazines/websites. I don't think anything should ever score perfect..because nothing ever IS. No matter how good the game is, it's gonna have faults.

There's the local classic rock, and 94.5 is supposedly..(translation: loads of crap). KLOL is the only thing that was actually decent.

I'll keep this short. The only decent radio station in Houston, Rock 101, was taken off the air today by Clear Channel. ..for what? A fucking Spanish language rap station. I mean, there are only like 4 of those down here, right? *twitch* Granted, there are always mp3s and such..but it's depressing.

HA. Very, very smart indeed. ...and considering the EB right across the street had all but two (normal) editions out of 90 LE and 90 regular preordered, and the Gamestop just down the way was packed, too.. Kind of strange, that nobody else had that idea.. *edit* Actually, some commentary about the LE itself. I haven't watched the extras disc yet, but the packaging itself is easily the best videogame metal case I've ever seen. It's sturdy, a simple design..no text plastered all over the place. Good looking overall, with a picture of the Chief on the back. Just general stuff (no level spoilers, or anything), but spoiler text in case.. The Covenant Particle Beam Rifle is awesome, as well as the Human Battle Rifle. The LE manual, written from the Covie perspective, is FUCKING AWESOME. (Covenant weapons are listed under "Noble Tools of Conquest", while Human ones are "Primitive Impliments of War".) The AI driving the vehicles..even stealing Ghosts from the Elites, is a blast to watch..as is stealing those Ghosts yourself! Taking weapons away from other soldiers is nice (Sniper Rifles, and such), as are the comments they make about you, and your enemies. I didn't see the problems edotherocket had at all.. Must sleep now, but I'll have to get some more playtime in later.. Then consider going online with it.. <- is Sopa de Gato on Live.

Actually..I was afraid of that. So I didn't wait 'til in the morning to go to Best Buy. Me, my brother, and friend just walked into Wal-Mart, and picked up copies with ease. Literally nobody there.

I have Halo 2 in my hands... *shakes* If you're in doublt about the SP campaign, don't be. It's fucking amazing.

Unlike a lot of FPS games, Halo does have a fully fleshed out singleplayer mode. It's worth getting just for the SP alone. And thanks to Best Buy Reward Zone..I'm getting my copy for $10..

To be honest, I've had a basically virus and spyware-free PC since I've started using Firefox about nine months or so ago. The fact you get no popups at all is great, the tabbed browsing is handy, and it's faster than IE is.

I'm more worried that the guy we elected didn't CATCH the guy who had those planes flown into buildings. Instead, we got some two-bit dictator. Saddam does not equal Osama..

Tried using Spybot? My reccomendation: Just switch to Firefox. It's faster, has more features, plus it blocks popups. I've had it so much easier avoiding spyware or viruses just by switching browsers..

KOCII's CAW also beats the snot out of any of SD!'s CAW, too. It also allows you to store a hundred created wrestlers, or 25 with four appearances each. It's got templates for a whole horde of wrestlers that aren't in the game, parts for almost anyone you can think of, more..and better animated moves than an SD game.. Not to mention the tons of match options alone..and actual different arenas, not just ones for shows or PPV. That's a truly well-made game, and it shows. Considering it's only Spike's second 3D wrestling game..

Yeah, but that's entertaining. Hearing the same fat jokes gets old faster.

You have to like this board. Don't bother bashing people for what they believe, bash 'em for what they look like. ¬_¬ The average maturity seems to be about the same level as the WWE folder..

Actually, there's a program that does those image-collages. You've gotta have the source image (Bush) and the images you wanted it made out of...but there's no real work involved in it. It's like, a three minute process..
