Monday Night RAW on Memorial Day 2004

He didn't blade from anywhere I could see. They really didn't mean to connect heads like they had. -

Even I'm thinking this is odd for crowd reactions for Montreal... It's just weird. There's so little boos and stuff... -

Hey. IF Benoit was a heel heading into the triple threat in Edmonton, trust me, he would've been cheered as a face. In Canada, we cheer for who we want and boo who we wish. ...selfish, I know, but that's how we are. -

Hey... I'm impressed, this was actually a decent match. And hell this crowd is on fire. WWE was bright to have this match start off. -

Nah... Slingshot Suplex. No... MAIN EVENT SLEEPER~!!! It has to be that! After all, Eugene's favorite wrestler is HHH! -
So for my remaining 5 years I will be a Joker. Maybe I'll actually win a championship now.

Eh... Give it a shot at trying to sign me, although, I'm expecting James to probably not sign for anything less than 18 million. Yes, that would mean he's out to become the highest paid player in the league.

What kind of bullshit rule is that? Dodgeball at my school was kill or be killed. It's was the "fair play rule". If you managed to get nailed, you could be revived if the person who nailed you went down. This rule was invented by teachers who wished for dodgeball games to drag out an awful long time. Funny enough, I was the only player in my school that if I went down, almost half of the other team would stand up under that rule. Not that I'm awesome with the heat, but I wasn't stupid and would pick my shots. That and I have an uncanny knack for making sure to time them just right so there was no defense against my headshots. Since I was "guy who you must all pick on just because he's not cool", I kinda liked I could get back this way. And if the teacher doesn't like headshots, it was a simple way to get around it. Wait for the guy to grab a ball, or dive. You can't do much about the way a person just "happens" to "fall" right into a shot "aimed at the legs", now can you? Best memory I had, one incident in which I almost gave a kid a concussion. Considering the bastard had earlier jumped me outside at recess, I felt it only kid to drill him headside. Ah, good ol' days.

Latest problem I had. I was getting smacked up silly. Add in the lack of defense from Giles (since he sucks defensively) and I'm hacked up for hits. Not fun. And I poise to you TSMers that love Baseball, a great question. Would you want to face a club that has 4 30HR hitters? Because I've got 4 of them. Mind you, two came from different teams, but still. Would you? I don't think I would. So I simmed into my next season just for fun, and I was blown out of the playoffs by the Cubs (who of course lost to the Sox). Then I watched as most of my great players I had gotten had their stuff crashed and burned through spring training. That was great stuff. Oh and the more goals you complete (3 and 1 year) the more points you get to spend. Nice stuff.
-
Well, Marcus Giles was such a worthy pick up compared to Vidro that I've signed him for two more years. The guy just kills the ball, getting like ten homers in the last six games, and went 4 for 5 last game with 3 HRs and a ton of RBIs. The guy is incredible! ...except his defense is a little suspect, but hey. When I'm hitting so well that I don't need to worry about my defense, I consider that awesome~! And some how, Armas Jr. went down from 1k in points to just his regular buying price, so I resigned him as well. Thanks to that, I managed to sign most of my lineup back! This is so great. I actually ain't rebuilding next season!

Nevermind on the Ohka question. Traded: MON - Tomo Ohka For STL - Danny Haren And then I turned around and sign Danny for 166 points for 3 years! HA~! At least I'm one pitcher great on my pitching staff now.
-
W00T~! Al liked the trade! Happy days! Seriously though, I realized I wasn't going to be keeping some people, and I'd rather give up Vidro and get a better player that is also "younger". Cabrera might still be gone after this season, I'll have to check who's a free agent after this season. It's going to be interesting in the next 70 games. And I really want to upgrade from Tomo Ohka. Anyone have any idea of someone I can get that would be a good pick up? As Ohka just blows games and kills me.

I've played all my games so far for my MLB team. I don't play my AA and AAA teams. Yet, the Edmonton Trappers and the Montreal Expos are dominating their respective leagues and shoe-ins for playoffs and title contenders. The Senators are probably watching hockey in the off-season. And I jinxed myself when I said 70 before the all-star break as I took three key losses to do that. Took me like 7 games after I said that to finally get the 3 wins needed to get to 70 wins. Oh, and how many people did you manage to get in the all-star game? I got 8. Chris Morris(SP - Starter for the NL), Livan Hernadez(SP - reserve), Wes Helms(3B - Starter), Jose Vidro (2B, reserve), Juan Riveria (RF, but played CF - Starter), Orlando Cabrera (SS - Starter for the NL), Zach Day (SP - reserve), Tomo Ohka (SP - reserve), and Rocky Biddle (CP, but played LHP - reserve). I think that's kinda unrealistic. I mean, 8 players from the Montreal Expos? Uh, no. Oh, and I made a huge trade: MON - Jose Vidro (2B) and Ron Calloway (LF) for ATL - Marcus Giles (2B) and D. Wright (RP). Made this trade seeing as both players were roughly hitting for the same amount, and Giles would free up some cash for me. So now I have enough to re-sign Cabrera if I want to. Happy days.

Comments of Storm...

Since some people don't know still, I'll add this here: I no-showed due to my Grandfather took a turn for the worse and we weren't too sure if he'd be alive as of, well today. Found out Friday he'll be ok for now... Although, he's in a lot of pain and stuff, so that sucks. Add in I'm trying to get everything together for my college I want to attend (which apparently I need everything for, but don't have), so I've been hunting everything I need for it down. And I just didn't have the time to write a match. I apologize as I really wanted to, but I was just not able to. -
RPG 2k4 Tourney: The Battle of Good And Evil
Lightning Flik replied to Lightning Flik's topic in Video Games
And The Winner of the Battle of Good and Evil and the end of RPG 2k4 Tourney~!!! MAGUS~! -
Pudge does suck. Surprisingly he sucks quite a bit. Hell, Orlando Cabrera fucking rocks and he shouldn't be... Lots of weirdness goes on in this game. God dammit. I had Luis Ayala throw a single pitch and the bastard went down with minor tendanitice. So I lose my Set Up pitcher for 12 more days. *thinks about how often I actually use Ayala* ...maybe that's not a bad thing.
-
You people with your rich teams. Take a poor ass team and let's see how you fair! Doubt any of you can make the Expoes have 70 wins before the All-Star break. I'm joking btw.

SWF LOCKDOWN CARD (6/2/04)!
Lightning Flik replied to TheBostonStrangler's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
No, I totally understood and figured that I would be left off the show for a personal reason, so no biggy. Just making fun of the fact that maybe since I'm not actually ON the card, I might actually get something IN. Murphy's Law seems to reek havoc in my time with SWF. Although, this being singles matches only. For some reason, this stupidity of Murphy's Law has yet to stop me in tag matches. Go figure that one out. But yeah, I think I've got a few hours in the next week to spare on a promo. Shouldn't be a problem. *Totally Choko's post from here. Hey~! I'm ju-! (thwappy with the HAMMY)* Butty Kingy! Itty be no funny iffy Dory canny notty picky onny Strangy. Dory needy picky onny sommy one to feely bettery! -
SWF LOCKDOWN CARD (6/2/04)!
Lightning Flik replied to TheBostonStrangler's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
TWO things. First thing: We go from Edmonton to Minnesota? I know it is a week, but yikes. That's a large jump in area. Thought we'd at least hit Calgary before heading down that way. Thought we were starting a Canadian wide tour (since we were in Vancouver before). Second thing: I guess I'll just play cards in the back for this coming show instead of having a match, since I'm not on the card. No, don't change anything just to accomedate me, TBS. I can live without a match for one show. Maybe I'll do something constructive with the time I have. Like, write. Or something. ... oh ... ONE MORE THING: I really like that strip for the Four Corner Match. ... oh ... ONE MORE THING: Dangerous, don't complain and get another contendership. More contenderships, means sooner or later, you'll get like a ton of Gold on you. ... oh ... ONE LAST THING: This show looks good. -
Yeah, it'll probably win the GameFAQs poll...
Lightning Flik replied to AndrewTS's topic in Video Games
Hey! Mystic Quest wasn't half bad! Shuddup! It was basically made as a kiddie game. The FF titles on the Gameboy had nothing to do with the Final Fantasy series at all, having no relation to them other than name. Actually, FF: Adventure is the original Seiken Densetsu. FF: Legends is apart of the Romancing Saga series. The only reason they were called FF games were just to sell them, as at the time, trying to sell off a brand new game was "risky". -

Lightning Flik replied to AndrewTS's topic in Video Games
Actually... Most "fanboys" of the FF and Zelda series have played other games. They just come out in rabid form to defend their games. ... *voted for FFVII and for Zelda* I vote for all RPGs. So shuddup. Zelda just has a special place in my heart because it was my first game I played. -
How do you ever manange to throw a strike at 10%?? Actually, quite simple. Just click and then don't power up, but make sure it is your best pitch that you have the most control on and you should be fine. I'm making the assumption though. I've never been over 100 pitches with any of my starters. I usually get the quick 2 strike count making them get out (via ground, air, or strike out) via the breaking ball. Doing the math, you'd need to throw 100 consistant pitches. 110-120 if you got a fine pitcher. Got a guy like Randy Johnson and it's probably 130. Only assuming though.

...aw fucker... I so know it was me. Wasn't it? Dammit. I'm so torn if I do or don't, since I got Hunter over here and now I might be leaving now or FA... Dammit. And to comment, that logo for the LVJ's rocks the place. Honestly, great stuff.

*sighs* Figures, so figures... Just see if it is a reasonable offer I want, if I don't get traded... Nothing insane, because that's what I'm afraid I'll ask.
