For who we got in return, it doesn't really seem like it was worth it. And I mean we didn't really get any of those guys for a long time. As for the Markkanen trade, I really don't like that one. If you are so confident in having Markkanen during the season, to trade Salo away, why not trade Salo at the start of the season, and have Markkanen and Conklin go at it all season? I mean, no offense to Salo, but Markkanen and Conklin (as a group) would've been much better than him. Hell, I always said we should've traded Salo last season and made Markkanen and Conklin duel start for the starting spot. Not like it would hurt anything. The second one just doesn't make any sense in the fact that we traded to get him right back? Why? That's silly. Honestly. I mean, I get it from the Leetch signing point of view (I had not known that), but still. Just silly stuff.

If this ends in a sweep, Calgary will win the Stanley Cup. As whoever comes out of the East will have probably fought long and hard to win. Meaning that they'll be running on adrenaline. Which isn't too good, since Calgary will be running on adrenaline AND rest. Gotta admit, I've liked these playoffs better than I have the last five years.

To anyone thinking that the Sharks will prevail in the series against Calgary, some statistics I heard from The Score (a Canadian sports network). Only 13% of teams that go down 2-0 in a series have come back to win their respective series. Less than 7% of teams that go down 2-0 from their home games, have gone on to win their series. That said, the numbers do not look to be in the Sharks favor.
