  1. I've already dealt with this once, and apparently you didn't bother reading the thread as I already explained why TEW is only a step up from EWR. And while TEW is a step up from EWR, it is not EWR. You can't compare the two as EWR 4.0 is at the limit of what it can do. TEW is just the first step and must borrow things from EWR to make that step. Hence why they are the same in some areas and totally different in others. Does this mean TEW is worth the cash? That's for you to decide. For you it isn't. For me, I'm still up in the air on the whole thing. Again, I state I never have encountered any of the so-called bugs that appear and frankly, with the amount of patches that have gone into fixing all these errors, it is most likely they are all fixed now. Most games come out buggy for PC, as you can't prepare yourself for all the specs and these things happen. Once again, I'll state that I'd rather have someone releasing a shitload of patches to fix the shitload of bugs, then just sit back and do nothing. And yes, TEW takes a long time to load. This we have no disagreement on.
  2. I think a lot of people dropped off after that horrible first hour. Hell, the whole show was a write off really.

  4. Considering we got an N-Gage, a PSP, and now this? I say, for some reason console makers understand, no.
  5. Fable's not going to slip, but be remembered as a game that could've would've should've in the industry. It'll do somethings right, but be flawed in totally giving people what they want. I really want to buy into Fable's glory. Much like how I was hooked into Mythri coming out (which apparently is never now ), so I'm quite sure my disappointment will be met here, except I'll actually see Fable.
  6. Yes. TEW is a step up from EWR. In many areas it excels in, but fact remains, it is only a step up. This is the biggest reason you don't see a thread on here. Mainly one started by myself. TEW next year would have to improve a lot to make it seem like a game worthy of a purchase. Even I'm still debating whether I should or shouldn't.
  7. Depends. I could see it being very valuable. Take a tactical game. You can have one screen having actual combat being displayed on the other screen, all the while the "main" screen, you can plain out your next attack while the attacking process happens (like La Pucelle like, where it switches to traditiona). Thus giving you a continuous flow and keep up the pace. And wait! If you time it right, you can get your next character (an archer) to run behind your knight, and nail in a couple of arrows against your opponent to do some more damage and combo up. Or you could even have the dual screens show a whole battlefield with one screen being one, and another being another battle field. And you have to fight two at the same time! Or how about in an RPG you get to a wall and must read an inscritipion on the wall. On the main screen, you go up to the wall and when the inscription comes up, it'll go on the secondary screen but in like regular lettering on the graphics, not in a text box. Or you could even have some characters say some odd things in the secondary window to add a whole bunch of convos that you normally wouldn't hear, and it might even impact your story as a character might ask you if you were listening, and you say no, and then you get like smacked across the head or something. ...yah, that isn't all that great in words, but if you play it out, could add a little fun.
  8. The new Zelda definitely is probably the biggest surprise on my list and frankly, the game I'm not wanting to play. Right away. GIMME NINTENDO!
  9. I said the same thing about a GBA:SP. Especially in indiglo. Guess what. I own one that's indiglo. So I'm quite sure it doesn't really matter. If it impresses you and makes you feel like you need it, you'll buy it.
  10. Thing is, Adam underestimated on the game for stuff like angles and minor little details (and really, things like roster thingy in EWR to know where a person is on a card is a minor detail). Understandably, as many people claimed they never used a lot of the stuff that he had added. So he left it out. What happens? Of course everyone wanted it back in. That's probably the biggest fault he had with the game. Then again, even I admit he cut a little too much to start with. Plus a everyone ran on different systems. I will go on record to state that I've never encountered a single problem that any of that where stated, so some of the different machines screwed up differently. And no one bring up the real life stats updates. Those are not dealt with by .400 Studios or Adam and therefore not subject to him getting bitched about for them. You must take that up with RaveX, TEWZone, and the others out there. I find all the patches since the release a reassuring thing, since it shows that Adam's committed to making sure that we've got a playable copy of TEW that runs as best as it can.
  11. You sometimes get the same argument about how terrible a Sunbelt Stanley Cup would be between San Jose & Tampa Bay, hell tell that to the players & coaches who have busted ass all season long. As far as I'm concerned, if you get there, congrats. The problem with a Sunbelt Stanley Cup final is that you practically kill a lot of Canada viewers. Problem with an all Canadian final is you kill a lot of the American viewers. They'll get props for making it there, but you will lose viewers either way.
  12. Um... My sig has my team in it. It's like in the big letters. You know, chanting Go! <team name>! GO! Besides, I'd like anyone else on my team. I hate being by myself on a team.
  13. The biggest fault against TEW is a lot of people had set the bar quite high, when realistically, you can only take it up a couple of steps on the first run. Besides, Adam apparently got way more people buying his game than was projected, so I don't think TEW is a flop. On the contrary, I just think a lot of people would just rather stick with EWR 4.0. I wouldn't, since I know TEW is better overall and in the long run.
  14. Uh... Then why am I on the upswing? This will be my best year to date. So how is that? ...and no, I'm not Barry Bonds. I contest that it is all about taking my vitamins, saying my prayers and just smacking a lot of homers.
  15. I doubt TSN will be kind enough to give us the pleasure of showing this. I'd lay a better wager on Score than TSN.
  16. *has just seen the screenshots for the new Zelda game* ...there is a God. I don't believe it. *just absolutely stunned to silence* Those are awesome graphics. We get an adult Link... What weird universe is this that we are getting granted our wishes?
  17. It looks interesting and I could definitely see this creating some very interesting concept games. But as asked, new system or a revamped GBA?
  18. I demand my team makes a trade for David Hunter. I just have a "feeling" about that happening. Besides, we could always use a good hitter. And is it just me or is everyone other than myself who is from the original crew, peaking out? I mean, a lot of guys (again from day one) seem in declines or sub-performances this year.
  19. Named after an RPG character I liked. More to the story, but I'd rather not bother repeating it.
  20. BTW, if you get people with smiles faces, they'll play a lot better than your guys with faces. I just propped my AAA God, Edward James onto my MLB team and he's sucked pretty badly. I offered him a new contract to be a CF backup (this way he'd sign for dual years) and he's complaining about his time he's had in the majors. Other than that, I'm happy with winning 13 in a row! And not like blowouts, but I'm winning a ton of a games and now own the league. My last one was a hard fought 1-0 win against the Cincy Reds in which I only scored on a pick off attempt to third. It's been fun winning so many games.
  21. Wow. I'm the only hitter of TSM from the East-West that made the team? That's a shocker.
  22. Very interesting stuff. I traded Carl Everett, Tony Batista and Endy Chavez away for Wes Helms. Since I have, I've gone 5-0. In that times, Wes Helms has been kicking ass hitting like 5 homers and just hitting like a lot. So I think I got the better of the deal. Plus the rest of my team is playing like gravy, so perhaps the bastard named Carl Everett really was bringing my team down.
  23. You went to the Black Mages Concent?! SPILL YOU LUCKY BASTARD!!! Tell me every freaking detail! I'm so jealous.
  24. Way to go James. I say that the Jokers season rest in his hands. Watch him go down to injury now that I've said that. And my God. What's the record for RBIs? I mean he is just killing in that department, it's freaking scary. Then again, James being a power hitter is scary. Especially considering how much of an improvement he's going through.
  25. Let's give it up for Nick Dinsmore, as the bastard has done the impossible. He's made a gimmick that should've sunk, work. And I've gotta admit I liked his ringwork. Great stuff.
