The 10klf schedule was announced today. What a bunch of garbage to slog through to get to few good bands.
-
One of those games was a one-pitch save. No game today. Don't hold your breath on Cordero's demise saving the Astros season.
-
"They're not legit like the Tigers last year."
-
Skip Bayless said the Brwers will not win the division or the wild card. That pretty much ensures a playoff berth for Milwaukee.
-
While good, ACL is not a better lineup than either Bonnaroo or Lollapalooza. Didn't your hyperbole get the best of you with that statement last year as well, vivalaultra? It is closer to you than those other two, though. Good for you on that.

Old Man Jenkins had a great game today as well. Attendance was almost 25,000 for a Wed afternoon game vs. the worst team in baseball. How many were Cubs fans making the trip for scouting purposes?

Oscar will reportedly make over 45 million dollars for his roles.
-
Think about that...Oscar and PBF just did something that all the huge stars of the heavyweight division over the bast 15 years could not do. Holyfield, Bowe, Foreman, Tyson, Lewis, no combination topped 2 million buys. The two 154-pounders did it amidst the final breaths supposedly taken by the sport. I'm going to guess that this will ensure a rematch & Tito Trinidad will stay retired.

Boxing is, like, so dead.

Ugh. I don't think they'll sweep the Phillies & Mets but they should be able to win both series.
-
Milwaukee has only lost one series so far this year.

2 slices of ranch chicken pizza, a plate of morels, and a MT Dew.

One of the Al Qaeda leaders released a video saying they dislike the Withdrawl Timetable Bill as it could take away their opportunities to kill so many Americans in Iraq. Fox, of course, then put up a graphic saying that 'Al Qaeda supports the Democrats'. Seriously.

Alvin Batiste died in his sleep early Sunday morning.
-
He died two years to the day after the first fight with Castillo.

Brewers beat the pitiful Nationals 3-0. Geoff Jenkins was all the offense with a 3-run homerun, Capuana pitched 8 innings, and Cordero got another save.

Oscar has actually seemed to get better with his conditioning as he's gotten older. Obviously that will have to change eventually but it does seem to be the case. He really struggled down the stretch against Quartey & Trinidad but since then he's stopped Vargas in the 11th and I felt the 11th was even and Oscar won the 12th on Saturday night. If there's a rematch I dont think conditioning will be they key for Oscar, he has to stick with his jab.

I wouldn't mind Goldberg/Rogan (and Couture when he's not busy) calling the action with Trigg/Glazer talking in between the fights.

K. It does appear that Thompson will announce in June or July. He currently polls at 10-15% and would certainly get a bump with a real announcement, possibly even starting a campaign at 20%. I, personally, think he has a better shot at the GOP nomination than Romney at the very least. Some comedy over the weekend on Fox/Friends as Bill Kristol was angry that the GOP candidates weren't treated to the kind of softball questions that they'll be seeing tossed from Brit Hume next month.

I would assume the regular UFC crew would call the UFC fights. Bernstein & Albert don't call the action for Showtime's mma stuff.

Really enjoying this one. Finished up the big book on Jackson, took some work to get into the style of 1930s historical nonfiction. Have started a collection of Allen Brinkley essays on twentieth-century American liberalism as my current nonfiction choice.

When I saw Manson in 2004 this weirdo next to me was burning his palm with a lighter in tribute to his hero. Hilarious stuff.

http://www.local10.com/weather/13267015/de...ia&psp=news It is too bad Bush forgot what the National Guard is for since his stint during the Vietnam Era.
