Yet again, I am not discounting what Tony Dungy has done this year or any other year. But when you have two teams having simliarly successful seasons in the face of numerous injuries, you might want to find something to differntiate the two. Do you want to vote for the more established name coach living up to the potential of his stacked team? Or, give credit to a younger coach, with a younger team, achieving way beyong preseason predictions with a less-famous roster? I picked the guy that's doing a lot with less over the guy that's doing a lot with a lot.

There's certainly nothing wrong with Dungy. He's very successful, definitly a good coach, can work past injuries, has integrity and doesn't cheat like the other big-name AFC coach. But he has so much experienced talent at his disposal. McCarthy has the youngest team, a recently struggling (very badly) team, and has had just as good a year (also, despite injuries plaguing them). To completely discount him because you don't ike the team is not really "getting it"

Yeah, why give credit to a team being coached so well that they are achieving way beyond expectations when you can just pick out a popular coach with a team of superstar talent?

Yeah, Marvin is the worst behind Petrino. To be so bad with that much talent is inexcusable. And talent is also why I couldn't say Tony Dungy the best. He's a good coach & I respect him and all, but his team is packed with supestars. Guys like McCarthy, del Rio, and Crennel are finding success with few big stars. Belichek is coaching an all-star team, cheats, and is an annoying bitch.

Best - McCarthy. To take a team, the youngest in the NFL, that was really floundering and having them on the verge of having the most wins of any Packer team is really impressive. Almost nobody was picking them to win the division, or even be competitive, because conventional wisdom just seemed so accurate this time. Of course, the improvements in December '06 were noticeable if you actually watch the games and the Bears' collapse was written pretty clearly on the wall. Now, Green Bay, despite the youth/inexperience/expert-predictions, already has a first round bye and a chance at homefield throughout the playoffs. They will probably have more Pro Bowl selctions than they have in about a decade. They have also managed to continue winning despite a ton of injuries. And, this year, Green Bay has won on the road in KC, Denver, Minnesota, St Louis, and Detroit...places where guys like Homgren and Sherman struggled badly. I guess I just don't "get it" Worst - Petrino, easy.
