Well yeah, pretty much. I would disagree however that "all" politicians don't care about the working man, however they know what they have to do to get elected, and that is just promise this and that, point out the great things that happened in our country that probably had little to do with them in the first place, blame the "other guy" for everything wrong. Not to say that 3rd party members are 100% clean, but this is why I really want to see more then a Democrat & Republican debating in November, because the 2 big parties are pretty much signed, sealed, and delivered to corporate interests locally and globally upon winning the election, and that goes for Democrats AND Republicans alike. certainly the best thing about third parties is being able to follow candidates that actually speak from their own hearts and minds... very few of the big two seem capable of this, for exactly the same reasons as you listed. The Jesse Ventura Era in Minnesota was, at the very least, interesting because he wasnt so indebted to the special interests. And, for me anyway, thats why Ive followed Harry Browne's(Libertarian pres. nominee) campaigns the past several years...much all of his money has come directly from regular-joe supporters making small donations and doing personal campaigning on his behalf. But of course, Im anti-Bush = Democrat...so why am I talking about these zany third party people and independants?...
