TheSnartMarks.com? That's pretty funny.

I like how he's talking about people being two-faced in a medium where it's pretty easy to cover your tracks.

Pinned thread in every folder saying TSM's closing for a week, then make the address redirect to gay porn until a week later. Hacking problem solved.

I hate that I'll never really know if I did a good job. I gots trust issues out the yinyang.

I think Samurai Goat used to post here, or still does.

This was fantastic. I'm glad someone else reminded me about it. A lot of comics kind of go in one ear and out the other (so to speak), but that was really something special.

I know that whenever I've shown that stuff to people who'd never seen it before (not Loose Change, but other 9/11-related stuff) it at least scared the piss out of them, if not causing them to look up more on their own. Last time I had occasion to do it was months ago though. That's all I'm saying, I don't want to argue with anyone. (backs off of this particular thread within the thread)

That's a little beyond helping, isn't it? Doesn't that contradict the personal responsibility mantra? I just realized that I'm trying to find logic in the wingnut Bushie/Palinite platform.

It's like biting your tongue or the inside of your mouth, except it makes me feel much stupider. Nah, biting the inside of my mouth is probably the dumbest thing I think I've done. I can't help that I have such great, dimpled cheeks.

"Sexually repressed" doesn't mean virgin to me. It's calling us all gay. WILL TSM STAND FOR THIS ATTACK

You ever been down to South Carolina? He's pretty much right. I couldn't venture as to the fates of athletes at other SEC schools, but USC (yeah, we call it that since IT WAS HERE FIRST) is poop as a school unless you're going for a business degree and even then it's middle-of-the-road at best. EDIT: Oh Bored, I can't help but laugh at that .gif and want to kill you at the same time.

Sooooo... one of the bearers of the mantle for the retarded wing of the GOP is going to have an unwed teenage daughter with a baby? This means that there won't be any bullshit on that particular front regarding "family values," right? ... right? Fuck, it's going to happen anyway, isn't it.

I love everyone's one sentence retorts on this site. Seriousy, no one presents any sort of arguement when they post. Is that the ideal way to post? Clever retorts without any sort of justification as to why they're posting what they are? In all reality, many of the posters here are just sexually repressed people asserting their internet manliness and intelligence in order to compensate for their lack of actual real world communication skills. There's a kid at school who seems different. You've heard people say he's "retarded," but you've also heard people use that word to make fun of each other. Mental retardation (say: ree-tar-day-shun) is a term that was once commonly used to describe someone who learns and develops more slowly than other kids. But it's not used as much anymore because it hurts people's feelings. Instead, you might hear terms like "intellectual disability" or "developmental delay." But all these words mean basically the same thing. Someone who has this kind of problem will have trouble learning and functioning in everyday life. This person could be 10 years old, but might not talk or write as well as a typical 10-year-old. He or she also is usually slower to learn other skills, like how to get dressed or how to act around other people. But having an intellectual disability doesn't mean a person can't learn. Ask anyone who knows and loves a person with an intellectual disability! Some kids with autism, Down syndrome, or cerebral palsy may be described as having an intellectual disability, yet they often have a great capacity to learn and become quite capable kids. Just like other health problems, an intellectual disability can be mild (smaller) or major (bigger). The bigger the disability the more trouble someone will have learning and becoming an independent person. Intellectual disabilities happen because the brain gets injured or a problem prevents the brain from developing normally. These problems can happen while the baby is growing inside his or her mom, during the baby's birth, or after the baby is born. Many times, though, doctors don't know the cause. Here are some problems that can cause intellectual disabilities: The mom gets certain infections or sicknesses while pregnant. The mom takes certain medicines, illegal drugs, or drinks alcohol while pregnant. There's a problem with the baby's genes, which are in every cell and determine how the body will develop. (Genes are inherited from both parents, so a baby might receive genes that are abnormal or the genes might change while the baby is developing.) During childbirth, the baby doesn't get enough oxygen. After being born, the baby gets a serious infection. Any time in life, a serious head injury can hurt the brain and cause intellectual disabilities. Some of these disabilities are temporary and others can be permanent. (That's why it's important to wear your bike helmet and always wear a seatbelt in the car!) Doctors figure out that someone has an intellectual disability by testing how well the person thinks and solves problems. If a problem is spotted, doctors and other professionals can work with the family to decide what type of help is needed. During school, a kid with an intellectual disability will probably need help. Some kids have aides that stay with them during the schoolday. They may be in special classes or get other services to help them learn and develop. Someone with an intellectual disability often gets help in learning "life skills." Life skills are the skills people need to take care of themselves as they get older, such as how to cook a meal or ride a public bus to get to work. Adults with intellectual disabilities often have jobs and learn to live independently or in a group home. Kids with intellectual disabilities want to develop their skills to the best of their abilities. They want to go to school, play, and feel support from loving families and good friends. What can you do? If you know someone who has an intellectual disability, be a friend. How? Sometimes, it might mean telling a teacher if you see this person being teased or bullied. Other times, it can be as simple as saying something kind, like "Hey, I like your hat!" If you can't think of anything, just say, "hi." It's a little word that could make that person's day.

Brooklyn Zoo has the right answer. National anthem by 2100, guaranteed.

Worst that's happened to my genitals is that thing where you adjust your legs while sitting and squish one of your nuts in the process. I've been hit in the face/head with all kinds of stuff though. It'd explain my looks, amirite? Anyway, basketballs, footballs, rocks, books, and a brick (the one I don't remember, it was when I was four I'm told).

The kid in the Christmas story berates his mother, she dies in a car crash, and it's self described as a light-hearted book? Could a dark journey of the soul authored by Glenn Beck be contained in the mere binding of a book?

What's this thread about, exactly? Is Venkman leaving? Shit, sounds good to me.

This sure went into the shitter but quick.

It's crunch time.

Found it! Feel free to post whatever Superman stuff you'd like though. I haven't read much from this decade outside of Our Worlds at War and the different Crises.
-
No I haven't, but I'm about to... RIGHT NOW! (e-runs) Thanks! EDIT: Still trying to find a Red/Blue Superman torrent that works, but I'm downloading Zero Hour as we speak. Thanks again!

DO A BARREL ROLL This is extremely good. Almost epic.

I pay $420 a month for a room plus all utilities/internet (share is about $50-60 a month for everything) in a five bedroom late 1800s house with a total of six people in it. My room's the only one with carpet and the only one on the second floor with a window A/C unit, massively important in the summer. It's also the only corner room in the house of any kind so that's pretty cool. The neighborhood is considered the ghetto by people who have never lived in an urban center and not really that bad by people who have or live in worse parts of town. It's a 25-30 minute walk to work on the lower end of the peninsula, but shorter to go to friends' apartments, bars, the college dorms, and just about everything else. There's also a pizzeria right on the corner of my block and several corner stores and a Piggly Wiggly within a five minute walk. The grocery store is also the location of the bus stop I'd hit up to get to work if I went that route. It's pretty sweet except for the roommates, but this is just about the objective facts of where I live, so yeah. EDIT: Oh yeah! I live next door to the Christ Gospel Church of Charleston. No idea what denomination it is, but every service sounds like a fuckin' party. I've never ventured over there but I might have to one day. You can hear the drums from my room on Wednesdays and Sundays.
