Doubtful. To his credit, Russo was the one who really pushed Vince out of the "good guys and bad guys" concept. That cannot be denied. With that said, I think the "shades of grey" concept can work (Heyman fooled around with it alot in ECW back in the day too) but the characters and angles to those characters have to make sense. For instance, Sting and Angle having some sort of comrodery (sp?) makes no freaking sense whatsoever. Angle feuding with Christian also is goofy and nonsensical to say the least as well. That was in reference to the post above mine, suggesting that Vince needed convincing to have three minute TV matches and seven minute main events. All the character stuff in Vince's concepts are stuck in the 80s fo sho. I'm looking forward to Runt acting drunk tonight.

I got to play one tonight, months before I expected to even lay my mitts on it. I did all the different Sports games and am pretty much in love. It sucked when making the real motions for say, golf or baseball lead to poor results but otherwise I had a complete blast. And the most encouraging thing during the entire experience was the system suggesting a break and showing a picture of an open window. Awesome.

I'll also count the Speed Channel since they've been Fox-owned for several years now: Barrett-Jackson is about cars, Fox. Not the rich losers who buy them. It's not a competition, and all you're doing is making classic car prices inflate beyond all reason. It also used to be special when it was on only once a year. What was once time set aside for MotoGP races or SCCA Trans-Am races is reserved for supposed car/race-related movies.

It has been THREE MONTHS since a flip to The Best Damn Sports Show Period has provided even a solitary second of actual sports discussion or film. The dude who does The Rundown or whatever it is is far worse than any SportsCenter anchor. At least ESPN still feigns an interest in its reason for existing. Fox is utterly useless.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but the New York/New Jersey area will be able to see the Houston Bowl via a one-week agreement between the NFL Network and Cablevision. Digital customers get the whole week, basic cable will only show the game itself. Hurrah.

These win. Also, LSU/Tennessee. That's not just a fanboy pick. Said Edwin at one point on AIM: "WOW. Those last three plays get a WOW." Louisville/Rutgers was awesome as well. Indy 500's been mentioned. I can't think of much more, because I barely watched baseball this year.

Teenagers/college kids who act like they know everything I can understand, but parents who are looking for crap for their kids? Come on, their sugared-up rugrats tell 'em what they want and that's that. The parents have more important things to worry about.
