I've been busy doing several things in real life. That combined with my general lack of interest in wrestling at all lately(haven't watched Raw in over a month and about the same for TNA, although I did watch some of Impact today and the Jeff Hardy/AJ match) has really made me not care to post here much anymore. The lack of anything exciting happening in TNA and the fact that they continue to make idiotic decisions doesn't really help matters. I keep up with results though.

This is good news. It takes a little of the sting out of the DirecTV thing, although DirecTV has many more users I think.
-
This has fucked TNA. DirecTV is the main source of buys for TNA.
-
Eh they promote Rodman then he doesn't even do anything? WTF? With the money they spent on him they could have probably brought in Kanyon.

Former NWA champion Ken Shamrock is scheduled to return to NWA:TNA next week, according to well placed sources in the company. Shamrock won the NWA championship at the first NWA:TNA PPV in Nashville, TN in June 2002. He lost the belt to Ron Killings and left the promotion shortly thereafter. In recent months, Shamrock has been training for UFC. He returned to the Octagon last week, defeating Kimo via knockout after a knee strike. TNA announced at their Impact! taping last night that former NBA star Dennis Rodman, who has wrestled on several occasions, would be appearing for the promotion at next week's Impact! taping. pwinsider.com Ken Shamrock ruled last time he was in.

By Wade Keller and Jason Powell ·Kid Kash suffered a broken fibula on June 10 at the TNA Impact tapings in Orlando and will be unable to challenge A.J. Styles for the X Title on this week's TNA Second Anniversary Show. He hoped to be recovered enough to wrestle the match as scheduled, but he wasn't medically cleared in time. TNA ran an angle on its website stating Styles issued an open challenge for the title shot on Wednesday and that it was answered by a major non-TNA wrestler. Sources say Jeff Hardy is that wrestler. Chavo Classic was also considered. Kash will get his X Title shot once he is medically cleared. Kid Kash has been asking for a raise, but TNA officials have refused to give him more money. The biggest reason they have turned him down is that he has major heat with the office and several wrestlers for the way he conducts himself backstage. Wrestlers have labeled Kash as a locker room cancer and say that they are tired of listening to him complain constantly. "There's a way of going about things when you're upset," said one wrestler. "But Kash will get in Jeff's (Jarrett) face. He'll get in Dutch's (Mantel) face. He needs to learn when to back down. Wrestlers also say that Kash is known for making loud comments about some of the younger wrestlers in the locker room in hopes that they will stand up to him. However, Kash is known for showing respect to most of the veteran wrestlers. It's worth mentioning that Kash had heat in the XWF for beating up now WWE announcer Josh Matthews during a match. Brian Knobbs, who was booking a lot of the shows with Jimmy Hart, was so angry with Kash that he even considered the idea of having one of the veterans return the favor by beating up Kash during a match. ·Jonny Fairplay and Jeff Jarrett were on the syndicated Mancow radio show on Monday. Fairplay issued a challenge to any reality TV star (male or female) to meet him in the ring on TNA PPV. Sources say TNA has several reality TV stars lined up for a series of angles and matches with Fairplay. ·NWA-TNA Notebook: Ron Killings suffered a black eye after being hit with a stiff punch thrown by Onyx last week. Killings was hot after the match, but calmed down quickly when others assured him that Onyx was just nervous and wasn't trying to hurt him... There are some TNA officials who have been trying to talk Jeff Jarrett into going head-to-head with WWE Raw on Monday nights if the company were to have the unlikely opportunity to choose what night they would appear on FX. Jarrett is said to be against the idea because he doesn't want to compete directly with WWE... Sabu and Jeff Jarrett talked prior to the pay-per-view last week and appear to have ironed out their differences. However, Gorgeous George was not at the show, and the talk backstage was that she probably won't be invited back... Goldylocks may be on her last leg in TNA, as the company is making plans to pull her from Abyss's act. "I think everyone internally finally realizes that it's a failed experiment," said one source regarding Goldy... Yes, that was fake blood Vince Russo used to sell Jeff Jarrett's guitar shot on the pay-per-view. Meanwhile, Russo continues to vent his frustration to friends about his feud with Jarrett. Russo has made it clear that he doesn't find the feud entertaining, yet Jarrett continues to push it against his wishes... Bill Behrens is in charge of booking TNA talent to outside promotions... Konnan talked with Jeff Jarrett about his desire to leave the company for WWE recently. Sources say Jarrett promised that he would better utilize Konnan on television. Apparently, they reached a compromise, as the talk of Konnan jumping to WWE has died down. Konnan may have even been given a raise, as his biggest reason for wanting to leave was said to be financially related... Jim "Sinister Minister" Mitchell is still under contract, but hasn't been used. He's living in Florida and runs his own karaoke business. Friends say one of the reasons he's been reluctant about changing his gimmick is that he also uses it for his more lucrative karaoke business... Ryan Wilson worked a dark match at the Impact tapings and received horrible reviews from the wrestlers who watched the match. The former Red Shirt Security member was sent by TNA officials to Puerto Rico for a year in hopes that the time he spent there would pay off as it did for Abyss. However, Wilson was quickly fired after he developed a track record of injuring wrestlers. TNA sources say that in addition to being clumsy in the ring, Wilson has the attitude that management should be able to find a spot for someone of his size... The Naturals earned some heat with Jeff Jarrett by attempting to change the finish of their Impact match. They didn't try to avoid doing the job, but did attempt to change the way the job would be set up. Instead of simply being pinned, they wanted to have one member of their team accidentally strike the person who was going to do the job. Jarrett was upset because he felt they were trying to make themselves look better. Observers credit Jarrett for putting the young team in their place and insisting that they follow the original plan for the match...

It is great that they matched or exceeded FSN's best show though with no promotion from FSN itself other than the BDSSP appearance of Jeff Jarrett, especially in the horrible timeslot. If they doubled it according to early reports like TNA says then that is matching what Velocity does usually.
-
This is based on what, exactly? -=Mike The TNA street team website.
-
The 2nd episode of Impact almost doubled the rating from the first week so expect something like a 0.5-0.6 for the 2nd one.
-
This board seems like bs. I don't see a link to it on nwatna.com and there are grammatical errors on the news page. Is this supposed to be run by TNA?
-
Onyx from NWA Wildside. Is this guy any good?
-
I hope the 3rd hired gun is Kanyon.

-The word in the TNA office is that FX officials were blown away by the Impact debut and have expressed interest in bringing the show to prime-time on their network. Of course, both FX and Fox Sports are owned by Fox, so if FX is serious enough, they should be able to work something out quickly. If I were a TNA official, I'd be doing everything in my power to secure the time slot prior "The Shield" on Tuesday nights. The cop drama is the network's most visible show and the two hours before it are usually filled by movies. Sounds like a great fit to me. -Sabu missed more than one flight to the Wednesday night show and was chewed out by Jerry Jarrett (who made his first road trip since undergoing heart bypass surgery). Sabu complained to friends about the style of matches that TNA has been booking him in and his lack of a push. And despite his travel blunders, he had the nerve to complain about not being booked in an Impact match. There have been rumors going around all day that he either quit the company or is about to be fired, but nothing has been confirmed. -Raven suffered a rib injury of some kind during a dark match held at the Impact tapings. He told wrestlers in the locker room that he thought he may have broken his sternum during the match and was clearly in pain. He wasn't sure how the injury occurred, but thought it may have been something as simple as bouncing off the ropes that caused the injury. -The woman who's been coming out at the end of Jeff Jarrett's matches is the valet formerly known as Gorgeous George (a/k/a Stacy Bellars) in WCW with Randy Savage. The plan is to eventually put her with Jeff Jarrett, but backstage observers say some of her behavior over the last two weeks could derail her push before it even gets started. -TNA wrestlers say that Goldylocks either doesn't realize she has heat or doesn't care enough to do anything about it. We've been reporting for months that Goldy has heat for not following the basic rules of the locker room such as shaking everyone's hand upon entering the room, but wrestlers continue to say that she only greets her friends and people she thinks can have a positive influence on her career. Some of the wrestlers are upset because they feel that someone from the office should pull her aside and instruct her to obey the unwritten rules of the locker room. And one wrestler said that if someone in the locker room has talked to Goldylocks about these issues, then she should be punished for clearly blowing off their advice. -In a related story, we recently reported that Desire was making similar locker room blunders, but wrestlers say she seems to be making an honest effort to change her approach. -Although Jim "Sinister Minister" Mitchell lives within driving distance of Universal Studios (the site of the Impact tapings), management apparently has no plans to use him. One of the first observations Dutch Mantel made when he joined the writing staff was that there were, as he put it, "too many vampires running around." Apparently, Mantel wasn't a big fan of Mitchell's character. Mantel and Jeff Jarrett are said to be of the opinion that Mitchell's character is dated and he would need to agree to a change before they would consider bringing him back. -Sonjay Dutt debuted as the mouthpiece for Sabu on Wednesday's pay-per-view. Dutt will continue to wrestle, but TNA does intend to continue having Dutt do most of the talking for Sabu's character, assuming he continues working for the promotion. -An observer reports that Shane Douglas is thrilled with his new agent position. "As an agent, Shane is the happiest guy on the planet." Wrestlers say there's nothing Shane enjoys more than when a young wrestler comes to him for advice, and now he's being paid to share his wisdom with them. -Wrestlers were laughing at Michael Shane for complaining about the new costume TNA designed for him. After being presented with a jacket that had plastic chains, Shane made it known that he thought the chains didn't look real. When wrestlers tried to ease his concerns by saying that no one would be able to tell the difference while watching the show on television, Shane countered by complaining that the fans at ringside would notice because the chains didn't make noise when they rubbed against one another. -One locker room observer took exception to some of the complaints about the new costumes the company had designed for the wrestlers. "They're idiots," the observer said of the wrestlers who don't care for the new attire. "The outfits look amazing and are a million times better and more professional than what they were wearing before."

Well if they do a 2 hour weekly show and do one monthly ppv it should work. On FX in primetime they would probably get atleast a 1.0-1.5. If they move to FX they'd also likely not have to pay anymore for the slot.

I have heard that TNA has come to terms with Team Canada's Petey Williams and Scott D'Amore on new deals. Word was also going around that the company is expected to sign Shawn "Hotstuff" Hernandez to a deal as well. Hernandez is a huge guy based out of Texas who has worked for All Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring of Honor. He has a distinct resemblance to Kurt Angle. He is a great athlete and has tremendous agility for someone his size. He's a good choice for signing in my opinion and I've been surprised WWE has never taken a look at him. TNA sources also noted to me that Ron Niemi from NWA Florida, who was backstage at the two first Impact! tapings, has been hired to work in a backstage position for the company. Niemi has been working the gorilla position for the heel entrances at the Impact! tapings thus far. I was told that Jimmy Hart had suggested Niemi for the spot. I don't know that he will be working the Nashville PPVs as well. As we noted yesterday on PWInsider.com, TNA has signed Chad Collyer to a deal. Collyer is scheduled to become part of Jeff Jarrett's army, a group that will try to protect the NWA champion from 3 Live Kru. I suspect Hernandez will also be part of Jarrett's army.

By my calculations the show ended approximately 3 hours ago.

I don't like how they aren't giving the characters personalities on Impact!. For a casual viewer who only sees Impact! what is going to make them care about an AJ Styles? Where are the guys like Raven to add star power? They are doing this thing ass backwards. They are giving workrate fans the free tv and doing the promos and crap on ppv. They need to make people care about the wrestlers on the free tv and promote the good matches for ppv. Also, I'm really starting to get pissed about Kanyon. They bring in a useless whore and sign Chad Collyer, but not Kanyon who has been available for over a month now.
-
Oh yeah this show sounds pretty crappy. Still no Raven...

Eh they just got added like 2 seconds after I posted this at wrestlingobserver.com by Blair Russell The first two matches were taped for Xplosion... 1. "Irish" Pat Kenney & Shark Boy defeated Johnny Swinger-Glen Gilberti (w/ Trinity); eh, this wasn't that good, as some things looked off/were screwed up, including Trinity's huracanrana on Kenney. 2. Hector Garza, Chris Sabin, and Elix Skipper defeated Roderick Strong, Alex Shelley, and Michael Shane. This was quite good, and it could be argued that this was the best match at the tapings. The Impact! tapings start here... 3. Kid Kash (w/ Dallas) defeated The Amazing Red in a decent bout. A vingette with Dusty Rhodes appears (as the judge for the X Divsion bout in case it goes the 10 minute time limit), and Vince Russo asks him for some assistance. 4. AJ Styles defeated Frankie Kazarian to retain the X Division title in a good bout; afterwards, Kid Kash and Dallas attacked Styles. 5. 3 Live Krew defeated The Naturals and David Young in what was basically a squash. After the bout, Jeff Jarrett came out and mentioned how he was "king of the mountain", but then Rhodes came out and said that at TNA's 2nd anniversary show, he would have to defend his title against Ron Killings. 6. Monty Brown defeated Sonny Siaki in another bout that was basically a squash. 7. Team Canada defeated Team Mexico in a six man tag after Scott D'Amore interfered. This was alright, but it looked like that once again, these guys just did not work well together. In a bout that was a non-televised main event: 8. Sabu defeated Abyss (w/ Goldylocks) after Raven provided unintended distraction. This was a slow-paced match that just wasn't that good, and Sabu screwed up his attempt at the triple jump moonsault too. While this wasn't as good as the debut show, it still should look fine for TV.
-
I don't think this is true. Why would TNA sign a guy they've used like 1 time in the past? They need to get Kanyon damnit.
-
The thing is Jeff Jarrett should be making Truth go through 3 people to get the title shot at Jarrett. This would build up Truth and get him more over, especially if they show clips of him doing it on IMPACT!. Casual fans who don't watch would start seeing him as a main eventer. Jarrett going through 3 people does nothing.
-
Wonderful. Jeff Jarrett begins his title reign by going through 3 people in 1 night again. You know usually handicap matches are supposed to be against the face. The heel isn't supposed to overcome going through 3 people in 1 night.

Go to nwatna.com and a popup should appear letting you choose.

Dixie Carter is going to be on the June 10th episode of The View.
