  1. Two simple words Sean Salisbury
  2. Suddenly the goggles don't seem as silly.
  3. No he's a breaking ball hitter. Only the very best hitters in baseball can hit a 94 mph fastball. Sierra isn't one of them.
  4. It's not his fault Pat Borders' dumb ass tried to backhand a ball in the dirt. The Goats: Nathan and Borders. The Twins are a greta team, they surprised the hell out of me. They deserve all fo the credit in the world. So I guess we'll just ignore Juan Rincon, who gave up four runs, which wound up making all the difference? No they don't. This was exactly like last season and the seasons before ALCS. Win Game 1, lose 3 strait and 4 strait games. Rincon flat out blew it. Ruben Sierra can't hit a 94 mph fastball, instead Juan throws a hanging slider. That, and the fact they couldn't score off the dominate Esteban Loaiza. Stupid, stupid team after they blew the game all tried to hit the big Home Run. Guess what, it doesn't work against Rivera. He doesn't give up homers.
  5. I'd seriously cry and probably not be able to anything else, since i'd be staring at the clock all day.
  6. Please suck it up and take the series back to New York. Also, don't assume since Santana is pitching you don't have to score. The Twins do have a tendancy to do that kind of thing.
  7. In the same vein Palmeiro is close to 3,000 hits. That wouldn't be a horrible move if you can get Palmeiro for a cheaper price. He's not a pain in the ass like Sammy and still swings a nice bat.
  8. Nathan will back out there for Game 3. He'll be limited but hopefully it's just for the 9th and he gets the Save. Gardenhire's thinking was to trust Nathan our best reliever to gut it out another inning take a 2-0 lead, and make game 3 less important for the Twins. It was a roll of the dice, and it didn't work. Time to move on.
  9. He left Nathan in the game because Romero and Craine can't be trusted.
  10. Gardenhire didn't have anyone else he trusted in the pen. Romero's been horrible the last two weeks, and Craine is inexperienced and hasn't pitched very well. Plus, you'd expect Nathan could get Miguel Cairo out.
  11. It should be pointed out that Bush is still well ahead in questions of protecting America, being a more agressive leader, making unpopular decisions, and overall likeability.
  12. What choice did the Packers have? McKenzie was a problem. Also i don't think it's a coincidence that the Packers only win was when McKenzie was sitting out.
  13. Don't know what he did.But OU was on probation in 1973, and than again after he left. Know there's a snowball's chance in hell he was unaware of what was going on. However that's not likely. Oh, Damaramu please don't consider this a knock on OU's program, but on Barry Switzer.
  14. I'll spell it out.Switzer was a cheater. Oklahoma was on probation one year while he was coach, and more importantly on probation after he left the school. It took over 10 year for Stoops to turn the program around.
  15. Rose: Illinois(Big Ten) vs. Oregon(Pac 10) I always felt bad that the Illini didn't play in the Rose Bowl that year. No offense to the Sugar, but for the Big 10 Champ you're first choice is always Pasadena.
  16. Not good enough to win the division isn't a strong argument. The last two World champions didn't win their division. Yankees-3 Red Sox-4 Braves-4 Cardnials-3
  17. And I think when all is said and done that Bob Stoops will be the greatest coach in OU history not Barry Switzer. Stoops won his National Title fair and square.
  18. Another great example of why both the Twins need a fucking stadium. Either way i'm inclined to think the Twins won't win either game tomorrow. They never seem to win extra inning games, and J.D. Durbin is pitching the final game. So it look's like it's at New York Tuesday night. Nothing more can be said about Houston. TCB and you're in. Yeah, the pitching schedule is screwy for the playoffs but if they win tomorrow. At least Oswalt will have a full rest. I'd start him game 2. Either Backe and Hernandez will have to pitch Game 1 or 2. Than Clemens can go out on an extra's days rest Saturday.
  19. I'll know the Cubs would never do this but i think they should seriously consider trading Kerry Wood. He's never pitched up to his full potential and he's just finishing his 7th year and he only has 70 something wins. With his talent, he should be much better. Instead he has games like Friday where he let's the 8th and 9th hitters get 2 run homers.
  20. Scotch, Irish, German, Swedish, French, and what was Prussia.
  21. Happen to have a link?
  22. But remember, they can play with the Yanks and Sox you know, cause THEY WON A SERIES AGAINST THEM IN AUGUST, OO OOO!!!!!!!!!!!! ...and this series meant more how?
  23. What excuses? The Yankees are the better team, and the Twins pulling their best two starters out after 5 proved they really could of cared less about winning. It really has nothing to do with New York. They would of done it against KC, Detroit or any team. It's not like it hasn't happened before. The last 2 years they've packed it in.
  24. Debate #4. Death Match.
  25. Gardenhire is doing a horseshit job this last week. Radke and Santana should of pitched their normal amount of innings. There's no need to limit their innings. The good news i guess is the Yankees are much more likely to take the Twins for granted after the sweep.
