The size of the goalies pads have really hurt scoring. Compare a goalie today, with one 20 years ago. The NBA's biggest problem is teams don't take enough shots. Instead of close to 100, it's maybe around 80. That can blamed on coaches. Who have to get their fingerprints on every aspect of a game plan.
