so hard to come to grips that this is real. The new details they gave out really just made this whole thing feel so much worse, sadder and puzzling. -

Once things are confirmed I fully expect a great divide between people: those who will find a way to still revere him as a wrestling God, those who will denounce him to hell, and those just heartbroken, that this mess happened in the first place. Bigger picture though is the consequences for so many: for the WWE, for those close to the Benoit family, and most of all for Chavo Guererro. I pray for him alot. Being the last person to see Eddie AND being the recipient of Benoit's texts.. someone shuld really look after him. That is just too much for a man to take. (I'm doin good man, graduated with my BA in Psych and Philosophy on the 16th! and just as dazed and confused as everyone else still awake on this board. We should talk online sometime. end parentheses) -

and bps (long time no see) makes a very good point. If this turns out to be the worst case scenario everyone is hearing then it will even more impossible to watch a Chris Benoit match without being deeply saddened, and bothered. -

whether or not he killed one or both of them, it is beyond obvious that Chris Benoit has lived with a heavy heart for the pas couple of years. It hurts to know he - for whatever reason - killed himself. God, just typing that.. it disturbs me. -

I feel like the reason Chavo, Dean and Regal's tributes were so numb is because maybe... maybe this is just one too many tragedies in such a short period of time. Whatever the circumstances, wrestling has just been royally fucked by SO many deaths in these past few years. It is amazing. -

whatever. I am praying for many things tonight. For their sake, and for the sake of everyone else connected to this mess. I'm praying for all of us, too, as there is just something about being wrestling fans - smart marks, whathaveyou - that brings us together in times like these. -

if Benoit turns out responsible for both Nancy and Daniel's deaths, does this just tarnish his career or completely destroy his legacy allout? Goddamn this is insane -

I don't think many of us really wanna believe any of this is real and actually happening. I'm with you guys, I feel physically ill. I can't really sleep well either. -

based on the timing of things, like him being called to a family emergency that took him away from his work and the strange messages he sent to whomever, it looks like he definitely killed at least his wife. Current timeline suggests she killed Daniel, called Chris home, and we know how it all ends. this is just awful. Like a long silence after a thud. -

If you think the jokes are tasteless know, you should think they are always tasteless. and I do. However, I know I cannot seriously ask people to never do them, especially in a public forum like this. Once the shell-shock wears off I have no idea how I'll react to this. -
The OAO Tribute to Chris Benoit Raw Thread.
LJSexay replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
what a shell shock. I cant use any words to describe what I feel. you know to drive the topic toward Raw, Smackdown and ECW themselves... the WWE is stuck. I literally cannot think of ONE thing they can really do from here. This is worse than just a sudden death in their ranks. Now, they are without any storylines, or any real clue as to how to handle themselves from here on out. I think we're all in for the most anxiety-ridden weeks in the WWE's history. -

I think everyone should cut the bad jokes at least for a while. This is much more serious than we can probably think of right now. -

goddamn. Just saw the ending. I have a feeling that this is only going to hurt alot more once the total sense of shock wears off. I really just cannot believe this. This is going to have some HUGE consequences in every sense of the word. -

those of you making tasteless jokes when this _just_ occurred make me sick. My roommate, her boyfriend and I were playing DOR2 right before RAW was supposed to come on tonight. Neal (roommates bf) checked out wwe.com and said 'wuh oh, someone else is dead'. He thought nothing of it, and I hate being spoiled of outcomes so I told him to shut it. When he realized this was real as we all did, something huge grew in our stomachs. We were and still are speechless. You know.. there really is nothing much to say. This is such a tragedy on so many levels. Regardless of what actually happened, we just lost someone that a lot of us admired and grew up watching. It hurts. I got to see Chris Benoit wrestle live. I got to grow up seeing a man do what he loved to do and enjoy every second of it. It breaks my heart to know that Chris Benoit is gone. I'll miss you man. -
he was, and Kennedy too; both were going to come back as faces to Smackdown. I suppose that was all squashed once it was complained that RAW had too little heels.
-
while I understand the draft is necessary when you have separated rosters and whatnot.. ..I will never understand why WWE won't try to equally build up the three brands. RAW is like a stacked-ass show, and for guys like me who really prefer Smackdown, half the damn reasons to watch are gone! bah. heh. London and Kendrick on RAW is really something, as is Victoria to SD.

WWE General Discussion for June 2007
LJSexay replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
greaat. -
it was Kurt Angle.
-
alright, outside this Vince McMahon madness crap, the worst crime - REAL crime of the evening is Mr. Kennedy being stolen by RAW. Goddamnit. I even protest it for months in my signature and all for nothing... seriously though. Edge feud. Edge feud! Why does this company pull some of the dumbest moves ever? *replays Vince's final scene* oh. that's why. Anyway here's to hoping the supplemental draft makes up for the horrible choices and decisions made tonight. heh. note: Anyone feel that the draft should be done every two years? I really liked the fact that, for the most part, these choices felt like notable changes to the rosters, if only because we have had most people stay on the same show for quite some time. I mean, Ric Flair, Kennedy, and to a lesser extent Booker, have been on the same show.
-
if Kennedy moves.. I riot.
