Show's a main eventer right now? Man, I didn't know standing as a body guard for the boss and not even making the SummerSlam card qualifies you as a main eventer.
-
I'm not going to get into this Edge/Angle arguement again, because lord knows I've gotten into it numerous times in the last year and a bit. My point to all this is either Angle has to face someone who is upper mid-card and not main events on Smackdown now. So, he has to face someone "below his level". Or, he could get traded to Raw and spark up the World Title scene. Or, this whole problem could get solved if WWE elevated some more talent, but apparently, that's too hard of a task for them.

Speaking of which, is Nunzio and Jamie still cousins? Or has that been forgotten?

Kane jobs to Shane McMahon at house show
CanadianChick replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
Yeah, there's no way Taker is winning the belt. The Brock/Taker match is just build up for the Vince/Taker match. Sad that a championship match is buildup for another match involving the owner, isn't it? -
I always thought that was a good mentality. But then again, even though the Edge/Angle feud created some great matches, it 'killed' Kurt's credibility.
-
I'm talking about a feud right now, not in a month or so when they have time to build someone. The point is that there is no one that Angle could face that is 'on his level', so Cena is a fine and logical choice.
-
Eddie has the US title. Therefore, it would be a mid-card feud. I wouldn't mind it, but I'm going by the 'Angle can't face anyone below main events' rule.
-
I don't think Angle's big enough for that yet. Anyways, he has a feud with the super hot up and comer, Steph!
-
None. I can't think of a way that both can come out of this unscathed, let alone someone's status improving. So let me get this straight: Angle shouldn't face mid carders, and only main eventers. So, in essense, on Smackdown, he should only face Undertaker and Brock. Whoops, they are feuding with each other! So, without facing someone on a 'lower' level than him, he has no feud.
-
AS: I don't think that's going to happen, so any ideas genius? MH: This is the second coming of Bret/Austin? Well, I wouldn't go that far...
-
If it can't be a comedy angle, or a 'I'm going to kick your freakin' ass" angle, what can it be?
-
IT won't nessesarly be comedy. Personally, I think the only comedy will be Cena's cheapshots in his raps. The start of the feud was fine. There was no comedy, no useless segments. Don't worry AS, I don't think Cena will get pictures of Angle and write messages on the back of them, if that's what you're afraid of.

I believe he's ready as well. But this isn't about what I think or believe, it's about what WWE is willing to do about it. They all the opertunities in the world to make Eddie huge. Will they, though? Interesting how you brought up RVD 2001, because the situations are pretty similar. Hopefully, WWE will actually take advantage and push Eddie like there's no tomorrow. And admittly, they are on their way. But are they willing to put him in the main events in the next two monthes? I don't know. If they push Eddie properly, he could be huge. He's entertaining, he's loved, he's a great wrestler, he's pretty good on the mic (even with the accent he's been saddled with), and his character is refreshing.
-
Angle wasn't being built up though. He was already in the main events and was just briefly in upper mid card. Eddie has never been in the main events. Comparing the two is like comparing apple and oranges.
-
Really? Because whenever I watched TV other than wrestling, I hardly ever saw Rundown ads.
-
Austin wasn't home grown either... I would argue the "Stone Cold" persona was though.
-
Brock was fucking around with the IC champ in June of 02. And Eddie is so above the US title as this point it's laughable. He was never going for the title though. He was just feuding with RVD for filler until his WORLD title shot at SummerSlam. The IC title was an afterthought. It was clear that he was the number 1 contender for the world title. And I know Eddie is above the US title, but is WWE willing to admit that?
-
And how long ago was that? Do you really think that WWE will do that with a small, non-homegrown talent?
-
You think he's magically going to go from US champ to World title contender in a span of about two monthes? My, that's pretty ambitious. When's the last time that's happened?
-
Three, either than Angle? Undertaker, Brock, and who? Yeah, so what if Eddie is suppose to be on top by the end of the year? Wasn't Edge also suppose to be a huge star which Angle was suppose to bring up? Now, didn't you hate that feud? What's the difference between that and a Eddie feud? Hell, what's the difference between a Cena and Eddie feud?
-
Give me back my TV!! Mommy! He stole my TV!
-
Um, Anglesault...besides Goldberg and HHH...Raw doesn't really have anything above midcard. So there's little choice if he were to move to Raw. Which is why I want him away from Raw. What about Smackdown? They have a whole, count 'em, two main eventers for Angle to feud with. Same situation.
-
AS, practically everyone on both brands can be considered "midcard". Really, the 'main eventers' list is pretty short. Brock, Taker, HHH, Goldberg...maybe Kane. Who else can be considered main event?
-
I'm hiding in the corner, watching Edge videos on my portable TV. What?

Eddie Guerrero get into a confrontation with a fan
CanadianChick replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
Sorry, but I still don't think Eddie should of attacked the fan. Unless he was physically provoked or in danger (like that one fan that pushed him off the ladder during his match with RVD on the 05/27/02 Raw) he should of kept his cool. He could of yelled at him, but not attack him.
