The bad news: under the scenario discussed, “Firefly: The Movie” wouldn’t hit multiplexes until late 2005. Is that really "bad" news considering the other option is...NEVER...
-
Well...I don't think Hugh has "It" at all. Not the Bond "It" or really any kind of "It". I look at the previews for Van Helsing...and I just think "There's Hugh Jackman with long hair." or "This part would be better played by Guy Pearce". Of course...he couldn't play Bond...but then again...neither IMO can Jackman.

It was one step forward two steps back for TNA tonight. Action packed show from start to finsih...and in the end...I'm left with WTF IS WRONG WITH THE VIDEO!!!!
-
Kanyon is at least a step behind D-Lo..but still above what they had with Crash Holly (who even they realized they couldn't put over anyone).
-
No he didn't. You get 2 points for winning the tag matches. So if Lynn/Dutt won it would have been 3/3 right then and there...regardless of the other match to come. You know...if they hadn't lost the feed for the end of the Sabin/Juvi match I wouldn't have cared about the rest of the technical hiccups. I can still see/hear the matches...but that was a major goof. The lesson is: Always go live I guess.

*crosses fingers* RVD, RVD, RVD

No way Miller did. He was getting a paycheck...that's something he was having trouble finding in the indys... Kanyon...I could buy that.

An Update from 1wrestling: WWE.com has not issued a statement on their website regarding this release as they did earlier today regarding the Chris Kanyon release. 1Wrestling.com confirmed with a WWE source earlier today that more releases would be coming soon. Kanyon received his release on Monday during a telephone conversation with John Laurinaitis, according to our source. The reason given for the release was that the creative team hadn't been able to find anything to do with Kanyon's character, and Lauranaitis told Kanyon he had been instructed by Jim Ross to give him his release. 1Wrestling.com's WWE source told us this morning to expect 4-6 releases over the next few days. If the Ernest Miller report is true, that's two in the last 48 hours and, along with Zach Gowen, is the third release in the last 7 days.

I believe by high profile they meant "people you've heard of" as opposed to "people from OVW"
-
I wish they'd release RVD. The wait to see if he'll re-sign in June is killing me.
-
I hope EA says Fuck you to the Bond people and keeps using Brosnan's likeness and voice in future games.
-
Man...he was the perfect Bond IMO. That's a shame. Ashton Kutcher it is.
-
Is Nick Dinsmore still in OVW? Isn't he supposed to be good?
-
Now that Russo's back in TNA I wouldn't be shocked. His life's mission is to prove he can get everyone WWE releases over. Just because it worked ONE TIME with the Truth.
-
They didn't call him once in the year before WWE signed him...and they called BUFF FOUR TIMES!
-
He went to Japan for a while. I actually liked them as a tag team (with Siaki) but now they have Siaki doing his own thing.

Miller can stay away from TNA.

ROH DVDs to be in stores?
The Ghost of bps21 replied to The Ghost of bps21's topic in General Wrestling
Well...I don't. I only have one ROH DVD and I've just seen the rest on tape from my friend. But now...I'll buy them all. -
Ring of Honor has secured a national distribution deal for their DVDs with the same company that will be releasing 6 Combat Zone Wrestling DVDs in the near future. The DVDs will be available in national retail and online outlets. The first release will be the April 2003 "Epic Encounter" event headlined by an awesome 42 minute Paul London vs. American Dragon Best of Three Falls bout with Dusty Rhodes, Christopher Daniels, Homicide, CW Anderson, and The Backseat Boys among those on the undercard. I still do not have the name of the video company confirmed, but I do know that Kevin Kleinrock, formerly of XPW is involved with them. I am sure those of you who followed the independent wrestling wars in Philadelphia last year will see the same irony in that as I do. The company also approached Major League Wrestling prior to MLW shutting down operations, although MLW decided not to sign on. ROH's first three shows will be released on DVD shortly on a national retail level as well by a different DVD company which is involved with the release of the Florida Championship Wrestling DVDs that have hit the market in recent months. ROH's first show "The Era of Honor Begins" (February 2002) is expected to hit stores within the next month -credit pro wrestling insider

That's because soccer sucks.

I saw a tape of an MSG house show with Goldberg and the crowd loved him. Taker will no doubt get the biggest reaction as long as he doesn't appear on TV before his enterance. Biggest heat goes to Randy Orton as always.
-
I believe there will be more turnover between now and Mania. But this "news" from 1wrestling is just there.

I can understand not coming up with anything for Kanyon...I really can. But they seemed to have a storyline for Dustin coming up with Booker T and the "I still remember" stuff. Jerry Lynn was axed because at the time they didn't feel the need to have more than 3 cruisers on the roster. D-Lo was making a TON of money. SO I understood that move too.

Rico vs. John Heidenriech. Duh.

I hated Kellerman on ATH...but I liked him on the boxing. I actually prefer statboy on ATH...who I find far less annoying.
