  1. Notre Dame WON??? Wow. That has to be Willingham's best coaching job yet.
  2. The Clinton's would have had all these people killed by now. Ahh...simpler times.
  3. Why was the groundskeeper in the Yankees bullpen in the first place? I don't see too many Yankees employees walking around the visiting teams bullpens at Yankee Stadium. There are a bunch of reasons he doesn't belong there...ranging from security issues to simple distraction tactics. Anyone who isn't a player or coach or official who gets withim striking distance of a player or coach or official deserves a beating. It's just that simple.
  4. I'm rooting for everyone but the Red Sox.
  5. It's true that with Dutch matches get more time on average... but they need to accomodate that by booking less segments so instead of 7 minute X matches we can get at least one 15 minute on a week. that = buyrate
  6. I can already guarantee that the next DVD is best of the X division volume 2... They left off at the debut of Sabin... meaning the Super X Cup semifinals and finals, Sabin vs. London and Sabin vs. Kazarian (from the same show as the cage tag match....the one that ruled) aren't on there.
  7. "Jeff Jarrett vs AJ Styles 6/11/03 " This match doesn't exist. It's where AJ won the title...but it was a 3 way with Raven.
  8. I'm just gonna pick ten people...I don't know if there are "rules" or whatnot... No order: 1. Shelton Benjamin 2. Chris Sabin 3. Chris Jericho 4. Eddy Guerrero 5. Trish Stratus 6. Brock Lesnar 7. AJ Styles 8. RVD 9. Paul London 10.Kurt Angle (even if he only has a few years left...he's just gotta be.) I didn't pick Benoit for the same reason I wasn't going to pick Angle...and I can't get as much out of Benoit as I can Angle. And since no one else will take him...I'll take The Truth with my #11 pick and make him THE midcard superstar.
  9. And your sole reasoning is "It's about Vampires" ...which it isn't. Yep. Another in a long line.
  10. I'll do a quick seperation of the good bad and ugly: Ugly: Vince Russo, Jamal and Siaki vs. AMW and Dusty Rhodes. It's ugly because of Russo and Rhodes...the match itself...well...I watched AMW vs. Siaki and David Young turn into a pleasent little match some time ago. Jamal's power offense used sparingly probably works here. Match holds no interest for anyone though. Bad: Erik Watts vs. Kevin Northcutt. Ugh. They actually found two hosses...and here they are. Kept short...Watts probably dropped on head. Will TNA officials let Roddy Piper SPEAK??? This is bad because I (A: Don't like Piper) and (B: Don't care) Bad: Diamond and Swinger defend against ??? Why do ??? and his partner ??? gte the title shot? They don't have any tag teams...so it'll either be 3LK again or something equally boring. Good: Kid Kash vs. Abyss. Mainly because Abyss rocks our world...even if only a select few will admit it. It will probably become bad however when the angle overtakes the match and either (A: Terry Taylor runs in so a MONSTER can beat KID KASH??? Backwards much????) OR (B: Kash controls Abyss and he takes out Taylor). EVENTUALLY the Kash/Abyss stuff will be good though. Michael Shane vs. Christopher Daniels. 1. Daniels is back in the X division which is both good and bad. 2. Everyone in the X division is a heel. Either way...Daniels vs. people his size has worked out well in the past. Raven vs. someone from the New Church...probably Slash...which SOUNDS good in theory. And finally: X Division Tag Team Match Along with the X Championship Match, four X competitors will be in action this Wednesday night in an attempt to set the high-flying, death-defying bar even higher in TNA. One of the four superstars set to compete is Sonjay Dutt, who recently created a buzz on the internet based on his X style in other promotions. This Wednesday, we'll see is Sonjay Dutt can live up to his fanfare! Ahh yes, Sonjay Dutt. Another in a long line (well...Teddy Hart and Juvi and Super Crazy) of guys that will be brought in...rock the house...and disapear.
  11. Yes. And this is the only thing I've ever seen in my life that I would make that claim about. No movie, no TV show no nothing. I know that different people have different tastes...but this one show so encompasses every kind of taste that it's something everyone should try.
  12. It's not about Vampires. It's never been about vampires. If it were any less about Vampires it would be...well...it couldn't be any less about Vampires. Everything's a metaphore. At least for the first 5 years...then they got into other stuff. It's so easily dismissed as a show about Vampires...it's truly a shame that people don't give themselves a chance to get that.
  13. Can you give specifics...I'm still waiting for someone to tell me exactly what it is they don't like about it. "It's not my kind of thing" doesn't really apply since the show covered every concievable genre...sometimes within the same episode. It's a show about a vampire slayer that as time goes by seems to be more geared towards scholars than common folk. It defies description.
  14. I don't think there has ever been a show more destined to fail than Buffy was. It was a MIDSEASON REPLACEMENT...wait for it...ON THE WB. You DON'T get any lower than that. Especially at that time, when 7th Heaven was only a half season in...and they had NO other shows whatsoever. Then add in the movie bombing (and being completely out of place with what they would go on to create...so even the people who LIKED the movie wouldn't find many things to like about the show...
  15. IN THE OPENING MATCH: Paul "That guy who used to work for that little promotion that will outdraw us in this venue...you know the guy who Brock squashed in like a minute" London will job to the returning...NATHAN...JONES!!!
  16. OOH...I'm gonna have to run to the show to see 3 minute main events!!!
  17. Probably. However...when you look back at the lead up for Raven/Jarrett (their biggest show to date) the two weeks prior to that one had two far better matches than that show did (The 4 way tag match that debuted Chris Sabin and came down to Lynn + Red vs. XXX and the next week Lynn + Red vs. XXX) so those actually turned out better despite it.
  18. I know that you shouldn't judge people you see on a messageboard... but I do know that every single person I know in the real world how doesn't like Buffy is of questionable intelligence...and don't like it because they don't get it. All the talk of not liking it because the vampires look stupid would seem to indicate this theory holds true.
  19. I have an easy answer for why they'd change it. the SD ppv got a lot less buys than RAW ppv.
  20. This is from IGN...someone has a FAQ up for the game that can be found on top of the game page: Season Mode: General Information As far as I know there are five matches per card, but I'm not completely certain on that yet. * Exclusive story mode with original storylines developed by WWE Staff Writers * Season lasts for 1 year however, apparently it contains 10 years of scripts in it- therefore feuds and stories will always change, so going through a season with the same wrestler will not be the same as the season before it * The Season mode will feature real WWE storylines but will now also have a number of 'original' plots written specifically for the game * Title Holders are carried over from Season to Season, unlike SYM where they reset. * Woman's Season Mode! - Build yourself up from the bottom. You start as a jobber. - Damage taken in ambushes, regular matches, or hardcore bouts affect your health and stamina in later matches if you wrestle more than once on the same night. - Smackdown will keep track of every wrestler's Win/Loss/Draw record, the types of matches they wrestled, who they beat/lost too, and how many times they've won a particular title. The match history, however, is only limited to 200 bouts per character before it starts overwriting old matches. - THQ are promising a clearer indication of which belt you are working towards. - You can get screwed out of a the World Championship title and the Tag Team belts. No word yet on whether or not it can happen with other belts as well. - You can get a manager - You earn SmackDown! Dollars to buy things at ShopZone- but you also earn experience points at the end of matches that can be used to upgrade different facets of your wrestler, such as strength, submission skill, endurance, technique, and speed. How Customisable is Season Mode? * You can use either a Created Superstar or an all ready established superstar. 1- At the beginning of Season mode, you create stables for wrestlers. 2- It's also possible to change the Raw and SmackDown rosters 3- You then determine which wrestlers are faces (good) and which are heels (bad). You CANNOT assign champions when assigning face/heels. 4- Legends don't have a special/separate season, you can use them in exhibition or choose to incorporate them into a regular season. Season Mode: Real Life Cut Scenes * There will be less of an emphasis on cutscenes this time around, and those that do appear will have more significance. - After selecting a wrestler you want to use you'll get a brief introduction sequence and have an equally short conversation with the general manager of your program. If you're on Raw, then you'll speak with Eric Bischoff; if you're on the SmackDown side, you'll have a chat with Stephanie McMahon. - Kurt Angle has a cutscene in Story Mode involving his book 'It's True, It's True' - Raw Roulette - Undertaker's feud with Big Show where Taker gets two crates tied with big bows! Season Mode: Backstage Interaction (The Locker) - No free roaming environment, where you could literally walk around an arena to get to different portions of the story mode - You're now presented with a locker that contains an assortment of options. - One of these options is called "move." Move lets you visit locations around the arena so you can talk with other wrestlers. Some of these conversations can even end up in matches. They can also affect your wrestler's superstar point level or his or her overall rating. - In the locker area, you can access the shopzone. This area has unlockable items for sale. You can purchase these items with SmackDown dollars, which are earned by winning and participating in matches; however, it'll take a while before you can unlock some of the good stuff, since it tends to be quite a bit more expensive - Click the Magazine icon in the locker to look at wrestler profiles- this includes the individual stats for other wrestlers
  21. Indianapolis New Orleans Tennessee Kansas City Miami N.Y. Giants Oakland Philadelphia [LOCK IT] Tampa Bay Baltimore Buffalo Denver Seattle St. Louis I feel another bad week for the bps coming on.
  22. I like how Mark Henry being the World's strongest Man makes his boring moveset deadly. It's like...he's so strong that a poorly applied headlock is lethal!
  23. Take your time... The Truth did poorly...
  24. Hogan's title win single handedly cost RAW a full ratings point that it still pretty much hasn't recovered. The novelty wore off as soon as they gave him the belt...and everyone stopped watching
  25. I like Cuba Gooding Jr. too...and I love Ed Harris (on a manly way of course...) but this doesn't look good. It's not because it's "feel good" I loved Rudy and Rocky... It's because it looks bad.
