So I've got a Gameshark 2 v4, it says I can play dvds from any region with it. I decide to give it a try, pop in a region 2 disc, set it to region two, and it says it can't be played due to region restrictions. What's up with that? It's not particularly urgent, I have other means of watching such dvds, but I still wonder what the problem is.

Well, it says Panasonic PanaSync C1291 on it. It's like 10 years old or something. My dad gave it to me years ago, along with the rest of his computer, and it was old when he had it. Every other part of the system has since been replaced, but the monitor remains.
