Sounds typical. Long story short -- my adviser made me her "attack dog" for administrators that she didn't like. And of course I was the only person on our staff to do any actual news. She was also of a different political persuasion than I, and whenever I wanted to write an opinion piece she would always not publish it because it was "too one-sided" (wtf?) yet my one buddy that had the year of the Bolshevik Revolution for an ATM code always had his stuff go through. I look back on it all and laugh, as I'm sure you will. One highlight for me was when she nearly burst into tears when she thought a camera wouldn’t work. Also, whenever she would ask me if a person was “black” (DON’T ASK) she would lower her voice. Burning bridges ROCKS...

Dad arrested over trick-or-treat rage
kkktookmybabyaway replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in General Chat
Because if you throw a pumpkin, you deserve to get arrested, right? If it's my pumpkin, you better believe it. You would also deserve cancer, but that's because my pumpkin's have cool carvings on them... -
This isn't quite what your looking for, but what came to my mind was, "There you go again," and that bit about not making Mondale's youth and inexperience an issue in the ’84 campaign. Not policy-oriented, but both zingers did their jobs...

Chill out, Rob. We're just talking about looks. Of course Reagan looked the way he did -- how old was he when living in the Oval Office? I was 8 when the '84 Election took place, and my Dad, God bless him, is a big-time union guy. Him and his pals were talking about how Mondale was going to win because their neighborhood had "a lot of Mondale fans." One of their main arguments was that Mondale was going to raise taxes, but at least he was going to be honest about it. Ten years later I'll never forget the look of fright/rage on his face when I showed him my voting card saying I was a Republican. Good times...

"Bobby, what are you doing?" "Well, coach, I..." "If you're going to sodomize using a pine cone, lube it up first so it goes in smoother." "Thanks coach -- you're the best." Real role models. So they didn't know what was going on? Yeah, and Wal-Mart doesn't know they have cashiers working off the books so there's no overtime... -
Did my "boiling point" routine when in community college with my bitch of an "adviser." Good times. What were some of the things she did? Just curious...

It's dumb and would never work -- but it'd be funny to watch. Oh, I remember whenever the GOP would hold up a Clinton judical nominee that was a minority there would be cries of racism. Time for the Dems to be the RACISTS...

Didn't think it was that funny (was expecting some Mexican jokes), but if others find it worth their while more power to them...

Hippie please. She was an alternative-like chick, not a hippie chick. I was AGAINST rioting -- at least in my neighborhood anyway. Then again if we did destroy Pittsburgh's North Side, it would probably be an improvement...
