  1. I like Alien 3 too for some reason. But I've made a conscious decision to never see Alien: Resurrection after shit reviews it's gotten.
  2. Well, it's not like they're wrong or anything... I just feel awkward at concerts with much older fans. Like when I went to see the Moody Blues a couple weeks ago, I had about 4 different people ask why me how I got into that music or why I liked it. I thought it was fairly commonplace for young people to listen to classic psychedelic rock, especially in such a hippie area like Portland. Sure, I was one of the younger people there so maybe that just says something about the kind of crowd it was, but it was nice. What's weird is my experience at older bands concerts is that there are lot of younger people there. In the past few years, I've seen Bob Dylan, ZZ Top and Queen with Paul Rogers and most of those audiences are at least 30% comprised of people 30 and under. I was downright shocked when I saw Queen with Paul Rogers last year the amount of ten year olds there with their parents. I guess it depends on the artist. All of the bands I've seen are fairly known with people my age group but The Moody Blues isn't.
  3. I miss Blimpie's. We used to have two or three of them but they're now all gone. I don't care if they're a poor man's Subway, I used to love that place.
  4. What is it good for? Absolutely nothin'! Good God y'all. And oh yes, I'll be seeing this sonofabitch on opening night if the podunk multiplex shows it
  5. Unfortunately, no. He pretty much only had two lines which were "I don't know!" and "I didn't do it!" which were repeated over and over again. Not quite the impressive dramatic debut.
  6. Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure he was filming his part in that awful Universal Soldier sequel during the summer of '99. He had that dumb injury where he punched through a glass window in December of '99 and was out till June '00.
  7. Odd casting choice for a TV guest role I just saw; Chris Rock as a child rapist on Homicide:Life on The Street I shit you not. It wasn't even that big of a part.
  8. Same exact weekend IIRC
  9. I'd have Vader win the WWF World title and have Ahmed Johnson chase him for the title.
  10. I don't think it's much of a feud. Everything I've heard from both sides about it seems to have been said with tongue firmly planted in cheek.
  11. And in a similar vein, Katie Holmes in Thank You For Smoking. Though that was a good movie, not really a great one.
  12. And the three hour Nitros haven't started being shown yet on 24/7, right? I have no problem with using a jobber match to fill out a three hour show but there's no excuse to have jobber matches on two hour shows.
  13. Yeah, Sting waiting in the rafters for six months was something that seemed really cool to me as an 11 year old mark but now it just seemed really overdrawn and dull. AND HE DIDN'T EVEN BEAT HOGAN CLEANLY WHEN HE CAME BACK!
  14. WCW was only better for about the first three or four months of the streak. It's still an impressive streak, numbers wise....but in terms of quality, not really.
  15. Maybe a little bit. It would be known as one of the more mediocre WrestleManias than one of the worst. But that is seriously one shit card outside of that match and the six man street fight (which I've always had a soft spot for and I can't explain exactly why)
  16. Yesterday I had.... Late breakfast/early Lunch: Peanut Butter and Fluff Sandwich (Man, I forgot how much fluff is like crack. Might have to have some today) and a glass of milk Afternoon snack: Bowl of Chocolate Ice Cream and a glass of water Early evening snack: Two soft pretzels and a glass of water Dinner: Take out Fried Seafood (Scallops, Shrimp, and Clams), Fries and Onion Rings from this really good local seafood place.
  17. I saw Prince live three years ago on The Musicology Tour and it was probably the best I ever saw. Though that was the tour where he was playing some of his old songs for the last time (though I don't think he specified which old songs)
  18. Well just because "well known guys" are there doesn't make it a good indy show. And I've seen some decent indy shows with a roster made up of nobodies Case in point, Heroes of Wrestling or pretty much any "legends" wrestling show (There was one I just missed a couple months ago main evented by Demolition Ax Vs King Kong Bundy. I shudder to think of a 60 year old Bill Eadie putting on that S&M outfit)
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Bh2nEGNmlk From USWA, probably early-mid 90s. Gorgeous George III (who would become The Maestro of WCW non-fame) takes on none other than everybody's favorite plumber, Super Mario. WrestleCrap at its best.
  20. I liked SummerSlam '95 and Survivor Series '95 but other than those two- the rest of the PPVs were really really mediocre. I don't think any of the PPVs strike out at me as "Worst ever" candidate (Except for KOTR) but collectively, it's easily one of the worst years ever for PPVs (WWF and WCW).
  21. A friend told me about a TV taping he went to held by a local indy promotion about five years ago (late '02/early '03 IIRC) that started 90 minutes late and lasted over 4 hours. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Reckless Youth and Mike Quackenbush were the names on the card but other than them it was pretty much local scrubs. And it was like an old Superstars taping with like 30 five minute squash matches. The only bright side was only 70 people showed up and "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan apparently had personal conversations with pretty much everybody in the crowd. If the highlight of a card is having a five minute conversation with Hacksaw than you know it wasn't a very good show.
  22. I'm pretty sure everything after X-7 was released on DVD.
  23. WrestleMania XV was the first DVD they released and they released WrestleMania 2000 on DVD too. But I don't think they released every pay per view until '01.
  24. I know we did one of these a couple years back but I thought it'd be fun I'll never forget when the indy fed that used to run up the street (literally) at the local armory brought in former WCW jobber, Rick Fuller and made him into their huge monster heel. It just kind of made the fed look bush league when one of Goldberg's former whipping boy was towering over everyone (I'm 6'1'' and I was taller than about 75% of the roster) and absolutely obliterating everyone. I'm sure people have seen a lot worse indy shows than I have. So feel free to share your stories here.
  25. Nope, not officially at least. Not sure why.
