  1. You get spam about Bob Barron playing poker?
  2. I always thought if they were to actually do an MK vs. SF game, it should have rendered graphics like Donkey Kong Country. You've got to find the happy medium between digitized charaters and sprites.
  3. Well, on eBay, there is one guy selling what looks like a legit version (it doesn't say what region but given that the guy is from California, I would assume R1) with a current bid of $36. Meanwhile, there is another guy selling it with a current bid of $1.25, but the only picture he shows is a blurry picture of the cover, so I can't tell if it's legit.
  4. Another Michael reference.
  5. I haven't seen any reason to believe Taker is retired.
  6. For this late in the show the draft pick must be someone big.
  7. Funny how the voiceover guy says "Wrestling's Greatest Stars of the 80's" while the DVD is actually called "The Greatest Wrestling Stars of the 80's".
  8. Yes! I love wrestling weddings!
  9. I bet the draft pick is Heidenreich.
  10. I'm sure there will be a stunner after the match.
  11. Each match is likely to include at least 5 instances of the two men doing a 30-second wrestling sequence, then breaking apart from one another and standing there while the audience gives them a standing ovation.
  12. I also really like "knuck if you buck".
  13. I really liked that guy who made all the Full House gimmicks. He was funny.
  14. I just read this in the Torch's article on The Rise and Fall DVD (the article is up on their website now): "McMahon was actually at a professional low point when he looked to Heyman for help, actually bringing Heyman in to help write TV shows even when ECW was still in business." I never heard about Heyman writing for WWF while ECW was around. I'd assume he helped with the ECW segments in '97, but I never heard about him writing anything else. Anyone know more about this?
  15. Figures. So who was he? Or was he the board's gestalt subconscious, like subliminal_animal? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, it was subliminal_animal. At least that's what Incandenza said a couple of months ago. At the Pit, I named myself Boondocks Kernoodle as a tribute to the greatest gimmick in TSM history.
  16. She didn't sing it, she wrote it.
  17. During the period ('95-'96) where ECW was only running a handful of shows per month, did their wrestlers work other indy shows on the side? I rarely saw the names of any ECW wrestlers in PWI's "Arena Reports" for non-ECW shows during that period.
  18. How bizarre. How bizarre, how bizarre.
  19. Snow was never much of an ECW guy. Sure, he developed his most famous character there, but he was only there a few months and definitely isn't associated with ECW the way Dreamer and Sandman are.
  20. Heyman said on Byte This that Richards will have a match at the PPV, but he wouldn't say against who. I wouldn't be surprised if it was against Sabu, because they had what was supposedly a really good match at House Party '96.
