I got Endless Ocean. I like it. Just a chill, relaxing game where you look at fish and swim around. Fatal Frame IV is looking pretty good: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=307558
  2. The brown shirted gay Hillary fanboy was on the Daily Show! Actual quote: "I'm a 20 year old guy from Brooklyn, gay as the day is long and I'll be all about McCain if they steal this nomination from Hillary!" Let's hear it for blind, self-hating revenge votes!

The Wii one? That's enough play. You'll grow to hate it with enough time, I suspect.

It's kind of like Mario vs. Donkey Kong, or the Lolo games. Side view puzzler/platformer. You're a chubby little yellow chick trying to recover his brothers/sister's eggs to get them to safety. You gradually get different items to make things easier. You start with a bridge-building ability, you later get a teleport, and so on. The items are usually limited-use, so sometimes you may need to restart if you get yourself to a point where you can't finish. But each stage is pretty short, so you should be able to nail a solution with enough forethought...or trial and error. However, the game gets pretty hard in the later stages. It's not so much twitch reaction as it is thinking. If you liked Zack and Wiki, it's along the same lines. You can actually play it like Zack and Wiki, using the pointer to control movement, or go for a nunchuck or something to play it like the original GBC. There are trailers available through the Nintendo Channel as well.

I just found out that Toki Tori is available on Wii Ware, so you should all know it's a great game and you should go d/l it since you all ignored it when I plugged it on Game Boy Color. I got it, too.
  6. Maybe they're investing a lot of money in making Rygar for Wii a top-to-bottom new experience, and maybe increasing the length of the game. LOL

    Xbox 360

And it doesn't include the PC bonuses. Basically, it's a "why the hell haven't you bought this by now"/"LOL Dial-Up users" pack.
  8. Yeah--see how Sigma turned out, and that was just a suped up PORT of a good game. There are rumors Itagaki may be leaving with some key Team Ninja staff, in which case Tecmo's president have flushed away their most high-profile development team and titles. Well, there's Fatal Frame IV coming still, at least!
  9. Minus blood. And they put more effort into the PSP port (bonus content), but this wasn't reflected in the prices. I'm probably the biggest fan of the new PoP games on this board and I wasn't going to pay for that. When you've got "hardcore" Wii releases that have been covered by the Angry Video Game Nerd and Broken Pixels, you're part of the problem.
  10. http://kotaku.com/5012051/ubi-forum-modera...g-new-aaa-games Ubi forum topic here: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/9.../4081042366/p/1 The topic ballooned big time with many other gamers sharing their displeasure towards that attitude. From the VG Chartz forums where one of the viral marketers was first exposed: So Ubi puts trash on the Wii except for Raving Rabbids (Red Steel = ****, Far Cry = ****, Prince of Persia = full-priced nerfed port w/o even bonus PSP content), and publishing (but not marketing) No More Heroes, and draws sweeping conclusions based on that. Nice job, guys! Oh, and while we're on the topic of Ubi being f-ups: http://kotaku.com/5011747/beyond-good--evi...more-accessible So the Wii is only for "casual gamers," but Beyond Good and Evil 2 needed was to be dumbed down for...uh...I guess all those "casual" PS3 and 360 owners. Wait, what?!
  11. I doubt he'll play any differently, though.
  12. You mean William "ADMITTED TERRORIST AND BARACK OBAMA'S BEST FRIEND" Ayers, right? I think that's his legal name now, or something, the way Hannity says it. My favorite Hannity Obama-trolling moment is when he tried to Jaywalk up the dumbest Obama supporters he could find, although they curiously were not black or latte-sipping libs. So this should finally end in the next 2-3 days, finally.
  13. (ok, gamespot really...but...) Gameplay movies: http://youtube.com/watch?v=M4zLTEopBVk&feature=related http://youtube.com/watch?v=oXpWCSvDIxo&feature=related So...Sega got some no-name developer to pretty much blatantly copy Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and make a current-gen game out of it. Also, looks darn good in any case! Other than the lack of a Prince of Persia running-up-walls animation (which I guess isn't in the movie, then), looks like they've nailed it and got a smooth-playing game out of it, too! With Prototype delayed I may just have to get this, provided there isn't some terrible flaw in the game we find out from reviews. (It's due to ship June 5).
  14. Richard Clarke thinks there's a big White House talking points box they dig their talking points out of. (Joke on the Daily Show). Fox News are crediting "sources" as saying Scott got a $75,000 advance on the book, which is something the publisher never does, it wouldn't have been more than 10. Yeah, Bush is f'ing Jesus Christ.
  15. That's Shao Kahn actually, but there's a lot you could do with Tsung. *I*
  16. Si. You will suffer the buyer's remorse.
  17. I wouldn't recommend either.
  18. No, it was pretty good. If you played just the VF guys, it was like Virtua Fighter 2.X, as it had some VF3 moves in it as well. It's just that shoehorning so many characters into a Vipers/Virtua Fighter engine resulted in pretty boring combat and limited playstyles. And the Viper folks were broken compared to the VF folks. The game was more or less Fighting Vipers vs. Virtua Fighter 2, but they threw in some other random characters. I do mean random, too. Rent-A-Hero? Really? Blaze and Axel from Streets of Rage to be sure, at least Akira, Jackie, and Wolf from VF--and I actually suggested several of the other additions on that list above. I'd personally cut down the Sonic folks, lest half the cast be Sonic and his Shitty Friends. The Treasure games are iffy. They're not technically Sega properties I don't think, but Treasure is practically joined at the hip with Sega, with Sega publishing games for them all the time and often tapping Treasure to make licensed games for them too. However, since the Treasure Box was of all things a Sega Ages release, I could see them making it in. I'd suggest Seven Force as some sort of mid-boss in a story mode, some Egg-o-Matic devices, and maybe have the final boss be a parody representative from the evil Dogma Corporation.
  19. It seems that there's a console release for Painkiller, however, except for the Xbox version all the rest (PSP, PS2) only came out in Australia while the US versions were cancelled. It also isn't on the BC list got 360. I'm not sure if my computer can play it, but the requirements look modest. From Gamefaqs: System Requirements: RAM: 384MB; DirectX 8.1b or better compatible System Recommendations: DirectX 9 card, NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 or better
  20. If the emulation on it is actually good, unlike the PS2 version. Otherwise it's a waste of 20 bucks (or, knowing the way Wii games are often priced, likely $30). Shock Troopers is just sad.

I'm excited about Mad World since it seems to be in the No More Heroes/God Hand vein, and it's freakin' Clover reborn making it. I thought Umbrella Chronicles was okay--I rented it and played with wiichuck, FWIW, but didn't really feel the need to buy it. It's really long for a rail shooter, but I felt Ghost Squad was a better rail shooter (which, I'd say throw onto the list if you like the genre, but it's super short).
  22. The plan, last I heard, was to do both...
  23. The SNK Arcade Collection has a lot of the SNK virtual console releases, but Shock Troopers doesn't run full speed. I'm looking forward to it's inevitable VC release, hoping it runs better (as we've seen the emulation on VC generally be top notch, even when other recent ports weren't). EDIT: It seems a lot of the games on the collection suffer some form of slowdown. Don't buy it. Of course, it's coming out for Wii too eventually, so maybe that will be the best deal.
