  1. But nothing in WWE now is either. There is nothing that could make me care about another Orton/Taker match.
  2. IIRC they were going to release her, and King quit in protest. She dumped King after he quit, was boning the Dupps and then kind of vanished from the biz.

I wonder if Velocitygurl bought one.

There needs to be enough folks to be guinea pigs for us who patiently wait to enjoy a system with decent support. Plus, if you feel loyalty towards a company/system you're willing to shell out a little more cash. I'd buy a really good Konami/Capcom game at release date. EA would have to practically give a game away for me to buy it.
  5. Wait, wait. Ryu Hayabusa? Wasn't that the guy from Ninja Gaiden, or NES Pro Wrestling or something?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ninja Gaiden--he's been in all the DoA games since the first one. er..costumes. Yeah.
  6. ^ Assuming IMDb is up to date and correct (ha!): The actual movie title is "DOA: Dead or Alive." ------------- Full Cast and Crew for DOA: Dead or Alive (2006) Directed by Corey Yuen (actually a competent choice) Writing credits (in alphabetical order) Adam Gross Seth Gross Granz Henman J.F. Lawton screenwriter Cast (in alphabetical order) Devon Aoki .... Kasumi (only seen her not act in Sin City, so no comment) Derek Boyer .... Bayman (so yeah, guess he was the army guy) Sarah Carter .... Helena Douglas Collin Chou .... Hayate Steve Howey .... Weatherby Kane Kosugi .... Ryu Hayabusa Natassia Malthe .... Ayane Matthew Marsden .... Maximillian Marsh Chad McCord .... Chief Detective Kevin Nash .... Bass (Nash playing a Hogan clone. Brilliant.) Jaime Pressly .... Tina Armstrong Eric Roberts .... Donovan (Yes, brother of Julia) Robin Shou .... Pirate Leader (at least we won't be seeing his sizzling on-screen chemistry with Talisa Soto in this one). Silvio Simac .... Leon Holly Valance .... Christie Allen Brian J. White .... Zack Oh...and worth mentioning: Produced by Mark A. Altman .... producer Paul W.S. Anderson .... producer Yikes. Then again, they're only producers. Wouldn't be surprised. They'll probably make Ayane and Kasumi like the bestest and closest of sisters. EDIT: Rottentomatoes article that confirms just about all of that info: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/news/comments/?entryid=264038 This movie should be fantastically awful. Jaime Pressly works as Tina; I hope she's Dixie in the inevitable Rumble Roses movie. It will be funny when the movie is PG-13.
  7. http://rapidshare.de/files/7878015/DOA_TEASER_FINAL.mov.html It's...pretty much what you'd expect. Seems like they even kept several of the costumes and Ayane's hair color... Looks like Street Fighter The Movie had a head-on collision with one of McG's Charlie's Angels flicks.
  8. MNM suck at tying people up.
  9. MadTV--because we're not mainstream enough for SNL anymore.
  10. Kurt Angle's action figure is taking some sick bumps.
  11. Okay, I popped Lament of Innocence in, picking up where I left off.... This is a lot better than I remember, actually. Camera angles aren't as much as issue as Curse because the camera is fixed. You earn more skills later on to vary up the combat. The real time window, while sometimes a bit annoying to use (like for the tickets, or attempting to get the right healing item), helped put you on edge much more than opening the pause menu to heal--and reminds me of how you would need to heal in SotN. Plus, as a fan of Kingdom Hearts, the RTW is cool with me. However, the platforming sections in LoI really kind of suck, and when those areas pop up in Curse (while rare), the camera is much more useful in those cases.
  12. It's Ron Michaels, the tag team partner (half brother?) of Mike Benoit. related topic: http://www.x-entertainment.com/articles/0692/ The Big QuasimodShow needs serious plastic surgery.
  13. Apparently PS3 will play PS2 *and* PS1 games (although as mentioned you won't be able to directly use old data). http://www.gamespot.com/news/6136677.html ...that is, about as well as PS2s play PS1 games. The EBgames I got my most recent N64 from installed the expansion pak. It's only a RAM expansion, and yes, many of the enhanced games are very framey. Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness supports it for an enhanced "high resolution" mode. It looks cool but the choppy framerate makes low-res a better option.
  14. Newer PS2s not playing Tekken 5 is a known issue. It's a problem with the system, and newer releases of T5 apparently are going to have to be patched to work. This is also an issue with the new Japanese silver PS2s.
  15. Hopefully she gets an online column...

  17. Expansion Pak. Only a few games used it, though. Hard drive was supported for one or two games for PS2, and the selection of games with online play for PS2 was pretty pitiful. It's not entirely clear if Sony's going to require a separate online adapter, or if they're going to do a core/deluxe thing with a hard drive.
  18. Considering sites are plastering the GotY winner everywhere, it's not that big to spoil. It's not like it matters much. The Madden drones have spoken--no big surprise there. I bet the RE4 nod was intended for the PS2 version. Katamari got best original score. Most of the rest are silly. Games are winning that aren't even out yet.
  19. Okay, forgot about the memory card. You got me there, but that's pretty much the only essential one. Microsoft didn't really add the cost of the hard drive to the cost of the X-Box--they sold it at a loss to establish the X-Box brand. Now they're going to try to cash in a bit more. Sony is merciless on the cost of those "memory sticks" however.
  20. She said accessories, though. Technically, no accessories are really "forced" on you. You only need to buy another controller if you intend to play with friends who don't have the system. Other than that, there are guns and other special sorts of controllers--only "forced" if you want to play the game properly. It's kind of unclear whether it will even play PS1 games, although that's probably not considered too important. "Backward compatible with PS2" is all that's known, but just for the games themselves.
  21. The department store folks--yeah, guess they'll be there anyway. I know I generally value time off more than a few extra bucks for overtime. And who wants to be working when it's really busy?
  22. The uproar over the "Batmobile?" First shot of the Scarecrow? The "guy who dresses up like a bat..." comment? I guess it being a "teaser" and not a "full trailer" needs to be taken into account, though. But the first footage I saw on BB made me very confident in the project.
  23. It's puzzling to me since I guess I'm not hardcore enough. I haven't even done that for a Zelda. It's ridiculous to build up expectations like that to think it will be worth all that trouble. Plus it's too cold. I'd be risking my health to do it. Maybe in California it isn't as extreme a measure. Why should employees need to get up at the crack of dawn, or work way past midnight, for the sake of dozens of impatient geeks? Yeah, odd coming out of me, but even as a kid I wasn't that obsessed.
  24. Wireless, remember? None. It doesn't support wired ones like XB, thus no use of the PS2/PS1 controllers. However, supposedly up to 7 wireless controllers can be supported by one system. Yeah, odd number, but that's supposedly the correct info for now. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> *slaps forehead* Oh, of course. Thanks man. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, come to think of it I forgot about other options: http://hardware.gamespot.com/Story-ST-x-1985-x-x-x
  25. Well, by hype I mean all the displays in the stores, people cramming in check on preorders and clerks trying to push you into preordering a 360 for the 9th shipment and people talking about camping out at department stores. I haven't heard anything much about KD except for the release of the sequel recently (and it's nomination for the VGAs). The PSP game is getting written off because of the expectedly bad controls.
