  1. Game Informer gave it a 9.5/10. I anxiously await a review from a really trustworthy site/mag. However, I can see the way the wind is blowing, and as I expected this game is going to be awesome--despite bitching, moaning, and whining from NeoGAF nerds at how the game is going to be the worst game ever because some old gameplay videos looked rough. However, I hope this game is a lot less buggier than previous Ubi Montreal games. Naruto is pretty tight, though. Assassin's Galaxy is going to be the best gaming week of the year.
  2. I rented and beat Simpsons Game. Funny game. Kind of ****ty gameplay. Really funny final boss, too, almost as funny as Portal. It's a great rental, but don't buy unless you really want to play all the stupid collection-padding and annoying time-challenges.
  3. **** this project. What he said.

? When Gamespot released their Zelda TP review, there was a meltdown over the score. A lot of childish Nintendards responded by mocking the rather husky Jeff Gerstmann's weight, among other negative comments. Gamespot dynamited any moral high ground they had with an utterly childish reply from one of the head editors about the situation, though. It seemed to some like Gamespot has been lowballing Wii scores for good games a lot since then.
  5. Since the creators are also the writers...I don't think they'd be going on strike.

Well, "new" to you at least. Or have they stopped doing the refurbs?

Gamespot score will be 8.9 or 9.0, I reckon.

Scroll down. GG2 wasn't so hot, at least from what I played. I picked up Naruto Rise of a Ninja, though. Ubi Montreal pulled off a really fun little game. The fighting engine is simple button-tap stuff (think like the DBZ Budokai games), but I enjoy the platforming and exploration. Feels a tad like Crackdown once you get stuff like the sprint and double jump, but I still feel more games need to borrow Crackdown's skill progression, rather than giving you X skill after event Y, or whatever.

I know it's become so common that it's a cliche to say a Wii game looks like an N64 game. It wouldn't be true in this case, even, because the Cruisin' games for N64 looked really, really bad. Plus, tiny, blurry, artifact-ridden flash videos rarely make a video game look good. However, that would be barely-par for about a first-gen PS2 game, I'd say. Might be fun, though. Cruisin' USA in the arcades was fine for some stupid fun for a few quarters. However, I like Outrun 2 for Xbox than any of that series' games.

Here's your very first Mario Galaxy review.
  12. Trailer for the new Alone in the Dark game: http://kotaku.com/gaming/clips/alone-in-the-park-317155.php This **** is going to have to be fantastic to erase the memory of the movie away.
  13. Touch the Dead was supposedly pretty bad. I will have to look into Dementium, as it kind of fell off my radar and I didn't realize it was coming out now.

This may be premature as I haven't played Makin' the Cut, but having played Halo 3 and Bioshock, agreed.
  18. 3 and 4 are mixed for people (moreso 4), but Silent Hill 2 is commonly regarded as the best in the series. I heard a lot of good things about Call of Cthulhu (an 360-compatible Xbox game that's also on PC), and been meaning to check it out. http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/adventure/cal...=summary;review I typically hate point-and-click adventure games, but that one was really cool.
  19. I've been meaning to try it, actually. The Haunting starring Polterguy I believe was the full title of that Genesis game, BTW. I thought they were ok (come on, they were way better than the original RE controls!), but it's been a long time since I played it. If you're thinking about the right game it was like "Resident Evil 4 on a boat," right? Reading up on Ghosthunter brought up a lot of discussion about The Suffering, so while I probably won't be playing it today, I'm interested in trying it soon. I may also want to revisit Second Sight. Youtube of The Suffering game footage. Youtube of Ghosthunter game footage. Youtube of Cold Fear game footage.

No idea. According to the plot he's apparently killing mostly other inmates and guards I guess, but there are some victims there that seem like the masked guys that were trying to kill you in MH1. Of course, online plot summaries may not be revealing everything about the game, but it doesn't seem they're reprising that slant on things.
  21. ...or at least horror-themed games. Anyone else typically celebrate by sitting down and playing something a tad on the spooky side? I played through and finished Darkwatch recently (although it's basically a Halo clone with a Western/steampunk veneer and starring a vampire cowboy), am playing a budget title I picked up a while back called Ghosthunter, perhaps go hack up some more zombies in Dead Rising, and plan to sit down and play a good bit of Silent Hill 3, likely. Oh, and this sounds totally awesome.

Magician Lord, and more or less. It's originally an arcade game, of course, so it's pretty damn hard. Uncensored death scenes from Manhunt 2. Truly this game is/was art. But hey, I guess they fixed *that* repetitive aspect of the first game. http://www.megavideo.com/?v=AJL2QB64

Oh cool. I'll go download it with my Japanese Live account. Here's how to make one yourself, Thoth, so you can download and play demos that are released in Japan first: http://www.destructoid.com/eternal-sonata-...ow--31512.phtml

    Xbox 360

Yeah, one thing I appreciate about the 360 is that even the base model is fully upgradable to have the same functionality as the Premium. You're just going to lack the Premium's chrome drive tray cover. Which is why PS3 defenders' "Core 360 can't play xbox1 games!!" argument doesn't gel, because you can still get that functionality later.

Reviews are beginning to roll in for Manhunt 2. Apparently, it's a piece of ****. It also lacks what little charm the original had. However, IGN's review could have been worse. Seems like it's on a strictly "did you *really really* like MH1?" basis.
