  1. I believe the original poster said not counting guys like that who have never been professionally trained and aren't supposed to be active wrestlers at all.
  2. Mabel/Viscera has done a spinning...okay, a ROLLING wheel kick many times in the past.
  3. It's all about the blame, and where to place it. Don't look at Steph, she just won't take it.
  4. Me! Loved seeing that. However, that's the only match I saw un-scrambled. Yeah, unfortunately I suspect they'll worry about letting the heels look good for any length of time, and give us a tag match with Noble and an APA member to squash the little guys. Ideally, though, Rey and/or another cruiser will team with Noble for this, though. It's a shame that they can't use any of the Jamie-san/Yang history for this, though. I was expecting Show/Cena ever since last SD, and at least we'd see Show defending the thing. Benoit making Brock tap would mean a lot more if Brock hadn't been jobbing left and right though. Was there any good reason for that handicap tag match job(s) he and Show did? Still, we've got two interesting matches lined up for Rumble, and plenty of time to build. However, why do I get the suspicion that they'll just be doing a placeholder WWE title feud here for Brock/Benoit since SD isn't getting Armageddon, and Brock's actual Rumble challenger will end up being some one else? Yeah--whatever happened to that "30 day" rule? The Women's title has often been like that, but it's gotten worse, with the Cruiser title and the US title with Show. I guess maybe there are title defenses on house shows, but house show stuff usually doesn't count. Well, all good things... But, but, Kane won! He looked like a badass making that comeback, no selling, and still winning by some piddly little offense! It's dramatic and fantastic and JUST ENJOY IT DAMNIT! It would likely be a huge money-making feud--but how would they build it up? He has POTENTIAL!~ He's the future of this business! He's a blue chipper and a second-generation superstar! I don't dislike the Bashams--but there's not really anything to drive this feud. The baiting/switching of this match didn't help in my opinion either. It looks like they aren't going to even do much with Eddy, let alone follow the U.S. Title loss with "something bigger." If I didn't loathe and despise Austin, I would have liked it too. The rest of the matches I honestly don't give two shits about. However, with this and No Mercy--I simply do not believe these PPVs are brought to those by the same writers who do the weekly shows. Granted, the card was still shitty, and there was quite a few "blech" moments, but it seems that after a month of stupid match making, lousy/horrible/non-existant build up, some good, competent bookers came in (for the second month in a row), and tried their best to squeeze this turd and make lemonade from it. Unfortunately, the weekly shows are generally bad to unwatchable. Really, though--completely different teams for TV and PPV, or do they simply plan ONLY for the PPV and dick around all month until it's PPV time?
  5. Yeah. He forgot a few zeroes.
  6. http://www.gamespot.com/all/news/news_6083688.html So, figures indicate I'm a typical gamer. I have zero interest in online play (although I do play gamers in-person with other people; they act as if solo or online is all there is), still play PS1 and GBA, and use rentals to decide what to buy. Still...this puzzles me... So--how the fuck's sake is Acclaim still in business?!?
  7. Well, obviously they just meant that in reference to his finisher...
  8. I think that got bumped up to Heat, like the Raw tag team title match at Wrestlemania did earlier this year. Yup. Tajiri won with Yakuza interference. Although there was a cool spot where Noble blocked the green mist and hit a tiger driver on TAJIRI for a 2. TECHNICALLY No interference cost Noble the match. Noble jumped off the top rope inot a kick of Tajiri and he nailed him across the head with the buzzsaw kick or whatever. Noble totally no sold the Japs attempted run-in. And the blocking of the mist made me MARK THE FUCK OUT! Ditto. And there were distracting at least, so that counts as interference to me.
  9. Well, the NWO match stunk too. It was just less fun because it was flat out boring rather than an instance of the match falling apart before your very eyes.

  11. That'd be fine by me. I don't see exactly what long-term plans they have for Eddy, but I guess it's not in singles for a while.
  12. RR should be good; looks like Kane/Goldberg, Brock/Benoit, and the Rumble match itself. I wonder what Cena and Eddy will be doing. It seems like a Cena/Show US title feud is coming up, and maybe Eddy and Chavo will stay together for a little bit longer.
  13. When you're as popular as Eddie is becoming, losing a PPV match or title match to a lesser wrestler is usually a sign of better things to come. Well, nothing of note happened in the last month, so that's why I said "jack shit since."
  14. Well, those things not happening are good.
  15. No matter what he does, there's always going to be people on HHH's case. Personally, I think that a lot of the hate that HHH gets is unwarranted. Then again, I may be biased because I actually like HHH. I'll even admit that you're right--probably a lot of things we consider deliberate, malicious acts are Vince's doing. However, I won't beat around the bush--I'm so sick of him that I'd be ignoring him if he was wrestling great still. However, it's about time that he actually acted like a team player here and helped give Goldberg a strong win.
  16. In total agreement with you here Banky. For a show supposedly dominated by HHH, EVERYONE is seemingly better off then they were last year. HHH hasn't really "dominated" the show in a long time. It's been a long time since he'd have a 20 minute promo, backstage skits, AND a match. He still gets skits and matches from time to time (as well as constant mentions by the commentators), but generally the shows have steadily gotten more enjoyable. At least we're not putting up with Bradshaw and Austin in the main event vs. the nWo anymore.
  17. Well, don't think of the title as being held by the champion. Think of it as being held by one of the handful of guys that Vince considers to be top stars. That's really all it is. There's no actual ranking system or earning your way to the title storyline-wise or actuality-wise. They'll put a token match or so where the champ defends against a jobber/midcarder, but typically that person has no momentum going in and nobody expects him to win.
  18. From what I heard, Shane got some flashy offense but was no-sold constantly by Kane. THAT'S how to build a monster. It's more impressive to pop right back up from a flying elbow then to beat up the guy before he can do it. No-selling? Good. However, shouldn't Kane have been beating the crap out of Shane for an extended period of time? You gotta put the face in peril, you know...then each additional attack makes you more worried. However, no-selling everything then doing a fairly quick finish seems kinda anti-climactic. Just my opinion...
  19. Cool. However, since HHH wasn't around for most of the feud, and it didn't lead to a title switch despite Goldie being injured, what was the point? They just needed a placeholder feud due to the lack of a strong heel to challenge? This means Kane/Goldberg at Rumble, vs. a member of Evolution, or what? I imagine The Deadman gimmick will return in that Goldy/Kane match-up as well. If it does happen. Although he couldn't possibly have time to regrow the hair, so it may be an all-new Dead Man look.
  20. I think there was also half of a bus sticking out of the set. Or maybe that was Rumble 00... WWE has had some cool sets. Gotta love the KotR Chair of the Gods, too. rr00 was a Taxi Cab. Armageddon 99 was the best no QUESTION with the tanks and Gun Turret... Damn--okay, it was a yellow vehicle at least. I forget about the tanks at Armageddon, though. I actually prefer that to the flames shooting up last year. It was neat that they were used in a match (HHH lighting the 2x4), but compared to the 1999 set, it seemed so barren and lifeless. Eh--I think Taker would have to take one hell of a shot to be knocked out cold. A little bump to his head wouldn't do it, I don't think.

  23. Yeah, feels like a real warzone now. Yeah, but Armageddon 99 had a GUN TURRET in the entranceway! That's what I meant. He rolled out when the casket was next to the ring but they lit it when it was further away from the ring, because it would make for a better shot and wouldn't make the apron go up.
  24. Yup, just like when they lit the casket on fire that other time, etc (although that was right next to the ring...). Ninja Rap > BatDance.
  25. I'm guessing he was possessed by demons after fiddling around with the Necronomicon as a kid, and henceforth gained his supernatural powers, and was only exorcised nearly around 2000.
